  • Continuing on creating "Every Woman" pine needle doll, this video will explain how I attached the next coil of pine needles with a basic stitch, while avoiding catching or damaging the gold fabric below. It was a bit difficult to avoid picking up the gold fabric, especially when the folds from below were near the metallic gold thread where I was stitching the next row. Other fabric might not show the nicks and scrapes from the pointed needle, however this gold fabric did.
    The second part of this video shows how I used a dotting tool to tighten the thread around the coils. As I was no longer going through the top portion of the bottom row of pine needles, the rows didn't seem as solid or tight. Using the dotting tool to tighten the thread created a tighter coil and solid bottom to Every Woman pine needle doll.
