Transition From a Wrapped Row to a V Stitch @anniewright9532 - Beginner Tutorial
A short video created for @anniewright9532 on how I transition from a wrapped row over to a V stitch.
With regard to transitions, a lot of times I work my needle and thread up through the coil and bring my thread out at the perfect spot to start my next stitch. It depends on the stitches I am working with but I generally try to hide the thread and make the cleanest transition possible.
Above all, enjoy what you are doing and Keep Creating !

Create a False or Floating Stitch in a Pine Needle Basket - Beginner How To - Add More Stitches
มุมมอง 11621 วันที่ผ่านมา
Have you ever needed to add a few stitches going around a corner where possibly it’s wider than expected? Or maybe you don’t have a stitch to attach to and you need more stitches. You can always create a V stitch in anticipation of needing more stitches. You can also wrap a row and then create your stitches every quarter inch or so. But here is another way that I add false or floating stitche...
Drawing Ginko Leaf Fantasy Flowers & Butterflies With Pressed Leaves - Pine Needle Basket Centers

In my previous video I show you how I created pine needle basket centers on craft paper by pressing or imprinting with ginko leaves from my own tree. I love how the veins show when you press the leaves with paint onto the paper and leave an imprint showing the skeletal veins. (You can use any of your favorite leaves.). Pressing Painted Ginko Leaves Onto Paper - For Pine Needle Basket Centers - Beginner

This video goes into great detail explaining my idea of using ginko leaves from my adorable little tree to use for basket centers. I explain how to use paint to press the leaf onto craft paper, showing the veins, mixing two colors on the leaf, etc. I use Modge Podge to "seal" the pressing prior to putting it into resin for pine needle baskets. This is just a fun project using items I have on ha...

Creating A Pine Needle Cape For “Every Woman” Doll - Beginner How To

In this video I am explaining how I created a cape / shawl for the top part of "Every Woman" pine needle doll which I created for a challenge project. The cape was created by starting a 3" opening coiling pine needles together using the same method we use for creating a basket. After 3 rows, I "split" the coil and created 2 separate coils. I added extra pine needles to each coil until they both...

This video is a continuation of how I added items from the "challenge packet" for The Red Dress Project into my "Every Woman" doll. This embellishment piece was a twisted set of 1 gold and 2 red elastic ropes. I explain how I stretched it and added to a crevice and nestled it in. I then stitched over the 3 ropes with red waxed thread. Thank you for watching. I hope this gives you some ideas whe...

How to Tighten Thread In A Pine Needle Basket Using A Dotting Tool - Beginner Pine Needle Basket
มุมมอง 1653 หลายเดือนก่อน
Are your baskets floppy and stitches a bit loose? Here's one way you can help tighten the thread making your pine needle basket or pine needle project tighter and solid. By using a dotting tool (or nut pick, or curved scissors) you can work your way through a row and tighten the thread along the way. I manage to pull an extra 1/4" to 1/2" at the end, making my baskets tighter. I used my dotting...

    • @jennieleegems
      @jennieleegems 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you ! Yes I can. It is a netting stitch and as I was stitching I added beads randomly. The beads are black with gold splatters over them. In the bottom openings I used black & gold pieces of lace (provided in the Red Dress Challenge packet) placed them in resin, then drilled holes in the resin. The resined lace was attached to the coils above and below with red thread. I then used black thread, stitching thru the holes to fill the cavity centers. It was a long process. Each side of each crevice took about an hour.
