I still can’t believe how evo knight on release was even allowed the exist, that thing was freaking insane and made so many cards just obsolete for a while like Monk, ice golem, valk. They’ve literally nerfed it to the ground at this point and it’s still prevalent in top ladder.
Knight was already a really consistent card without evolution, the mere idea of giving it an evo was already too much and HOW BROKEN his evo was at release just made it thousands of times worse

The niche you fill on TH-cam is very similar to that of false swipe gaming. Instead of clash royale, they focus on the history of pokemon competitively (with a focus on singles). I’d recommend watching a video from them, even if you aren’t super into pokemon, it might give you some inspiration

I expected gratz would mention about the secret change in this most recent update that made valk move while attacking. But I guess he missed it. Still a great video tho.
Valk has always annoyed me for her overuse in mid-ladder. My biggest gripe with her, I believe, is how she hits opposing units INSTANTLY as she reaches them (with a decent range, too!). That and health. My fix for this would be to just increase the first hit delay so she can actually be killed when she is on low HP; but it also helps her, because she can let more troops surround her first before dealing her splash damage! And then to balance it out (and not completely kill the card by removing her reactionary capabilities as people often just drop her like a spell), we could just reduce her deployment time to be under 1s. And maybe a small health decrease/damage increase.
I think Supercell did the silent buff from 1.9 splash radius to 2 because that would have the same effect as the 1.9 while not having the Valkyrie nerfed in any way from the range consistency changes. If they wanted her to be exactly like her original splash form, she could’ve had 2.2 radius (not 2.4), but that still outranges long range troops (as long as they have a center of .5, which idk about).
One thing to keep in mind with valk in mid ladder is that she counters most of the other problematic midladder cards - especially mk who she can full counter with towers, even when underleveled (with proper placement). This kind of meant that while a lot of midladder players hated her they tended to be the players who abused other midlander menace cards, but she was almost a necessity for someone who was underleveled trying to fight through midlander (ik she carried me through 5-6k trophies in late 2022 at lvl 12 vs many, many lvl 14 mks, ebarbs, and witches).
I think Valkyrie is less controversial than other mid ladder menaces because she's useful in countering more obnoxious mid ladder cards. Like how she trades well with wizard and witch, and can even be useful agains elite barbs and even mega knight. Another commentor pointed out how she keeps skeleton army in check, as that card (and other swarms) would probably be more of a menace in mid ladder without her. This, of course, doesn't apply to top ladder where there is no skill issue requiring extra splash cards.
I'd love to see a video on the goblin barrel (if it isn't done already) I remember so many tactics I used to do and still sometimes do, like placing it behind the tower for the opponent to misjudge their spell or hiding it behind a rocket

Tbh only major disagreement I have is on the card art. I think they could have done more but I think it's perfect the way it is and the hairstyle is just gorgeous. I actually think one arm evolved valk wouldve been so cool, maybe with a prosthetic or with just the raw form to spinning blade with one arm, but I'm by no means dissapointed in it or the card art. It's much more dynamic and her than the old card portrait, but I will admit it would fit more if she was a fast movespeed rather than Medium. Then again midladder would try me for gamer crimes if she was buffed to fast so I still like it. It's a card art to swing to.

Google Docs and Forums everwhere talking about every single interaction you could get and how to effectively gain positive elixir trades from ONE HOG RIDER HIT. This was the deck that you used if you were so confident, that you could beat anyone with LEVEL 1 TRIFECTA. That's how OP skeletons and a single hog rider hit used to be. Now-a-days it's all about the hogrider getting one hit, but Hog Trifecta PERFECTED the one hit. Seriously, one of the most annoying decks to play against in CR history 15:10 So far Valk's update history had reflected the journey of a character constantly getting stronger through the use of a heavy axe, but also someone who faces arthiritic pain and strain from constantly swinging that axe without proper training. Her health continues to increase but her body can no longer put up with the damage so her I.Swing speed and reg.Swing speed constantly bob up and down depending on how healthy she's feeling that day 😂
idk why but i think evo valk should have like a e-wizard a spell when its played but instead of the zap its her tornado (or a little bit stronger one since she still would have deploy time) maybe it would make it be better to try defend some push already close to the tower or to pull a hog that had ignored a canon into it range and also just be a insta bat kill or minion finishing blow

I really find it hilarious, When some average at best card, Gets a massive surge in use, Just because it counters a thing. In any game at all even. In Clash Royal. Elixir Golem and Witch ruining the game, Everyone runs Valkyrie, ElixirGolem & Witch get nerfed, Valk fades out. In Yugioh, When SuperQuants were ruining tournaments, Everyone started running Kaijus, Superquants got nerfed, Kaijus slowly faded out. Qliphorts were meta, Everyone ran kaijus, Qliphorts got powercrept, Kaijus faded out.

Evo valk is now used in many decks hog cycle, miner control , lava hound , log bait. They all use her
For good reason, Evo Valk is incredibly powerful on the defense, and can actually be threatening if left alone
