I’ll say this. I have a Colorado with a very nice pipe/ladder rack over the bed/cab. I can carry much more than an 1/2 ton with that AND because the truck isn’t so tall you can get stuff in and out of the bed without needing a step ladder.
I love it when smaller cars get the top treatment like when the Cayman got the GT car treatment, or the 1 Series got the M treatment This is just that, the Ranger getting the Raptor treatment Although, this car has an air of Caymanism, like it not having amber headlights because if you want that you have to get the F-150 or the Bronco, and the F-150's trombone loop for better sound? I remember I heard that wouldn't fit in the Ranger but it still sounds like an excuse Porsche would give for like the GT4 RS not getting a manual because it doesn't fit while it not being incredibly convenient by not cannibalizing 911 GT3 sales But yeah, I love this! ❤️
These new-gen Rangers really are huge compared to their older counterparts, I drive an '04 FX-4 - it came with an off-road lifted suspension from the factory, and my Ranger is still absolutely dwarfed by the new Rangers. In a way I'm envious of the cabin space, because I'm 6'2" and I get annoyed by my head touching the liner all the time, and my legs being too long to really be able to relax them in the cab, but the new models are just too much truck for city conditions.
I seriously wish anybody just made a v8 midsize truck. That will be the true king in this modern era of v6 trucks in the mid size category. Damn epa bs
I know that America had a Ranger from back in the day. Dont be fooled tho, these new (to the US) Rangers are actually a fully in house designed and built by Ford Australia. In 2011 the Ranger was redesigned into the current shape and form, building off its previous Ranger model here in Aus, the PK model. It use to be called a Courier and also was rebadged by Mazda Australia as a Bravo, because Mazda has never made there own version of any ute. The Ranger in australia comes with a 3.2litre diesel and a 2.2litre diesel. This V6 borrowed from Ford America is the first petrol engine the ranger has seen in nearly 15years.
Deal with the price people, we’re not pre 2019 anymore. Everything is higher priced. Haven’t you been to the grocery store or anywhere and bought anything. For curiosity I built a 2.3l Ranger XLT 4X4 with locking diff for mid 40’s. You get what you pay for
I mean, most people don’t use a truck for a truck anymore. That’s why a 5 1/2 foot bed is standard because nobody can drive anything bigger when it has four-doors and a 6 1/2 foot bed that tends to be too cumbersome for most people. That’s why you still only have a 5 1/2 foot bed on a full-size truck. Which is absolutely ridiculous. At least this is a 5 foot bed on a midsize truck. That makes more sense. Love the video though.
I currently have a POS Canyon AT4X and can't wait for my Ranger Raptor to finally get built. Not just the electrical nightmares GM is producing but on trips I hate being stuck behind slow drivers. So I am really looking forward to have a vehicle capable of passing slower cars on a 2 lane highway.
@IhateSIGNINGup4this will still need a test drive. Doesn't have the get up of a F150 raptor but I am more concerned with passing. Has to be better than the single turbo 4 bangers. I figure it should be close if not better to a non- hybrid tundra. Everyone does 0-60. I am more interested in 30-70 and 50-80
@riggidybang most cars I have passed in one run was 9. Speed limit was 55 but for some reason the person at the front of the line wanted to go no faster than 35

What you guys call midsize truck is the trucksize we get in Europe. However, in Finland atleast, there seems to be scene where people have fullsize trucks imported over and often enough I have mistaken this new ranger as a full big truck. Maddeningly, raptor ones in here only produce 300ish hp because of emissions. Only a tune away from original numbers but still.
400+hp is cool.. But honestly I'd buy a ZR2 and save a few bucks..sure it's not as quick, but does it really matter on off-road trails? Plus I find the ZR2 (and Canyon) more aggressive than the Ford..both are just as capable. Nice review.
What % of people who buy "offroad" oriented trucks actually do anything serious offroad? That % is pretty low. Shit most probably don't see a gravel road. It's a status symbol/toy.

the question is would potholes still wreck it? cuz where i live truck and suvs are pretty much necessity but it also urban pothole hell in the spring after all the plows have knocked all the asphalt out of the roads
I was driving a 23 Taco Sr5 rental today for work and got passed by an older Tundra....I was as big if not bigger than it. It was mind boggling
absolutely great as always
In Australia these are 100k..absolute weapons

My father bought a 97 and a 02 Ranger brand new! Yea these new rangers are huge in comparison.
did you guys just tease the new lx600 and land cruiser video coming up
As someone whos family bought ‘21 ranger, I’m mad we didn’t wait like 2 years
My favorite couple ❤️
i just bought that exact truck minus the bead lock wheels. i am used to full size Ford trucks but this thing has been a blast. i got a midsize mainly for easier parking. my full size trucks need a field to turn around lol
Sounds like a head to head to head is very much needed.
"Still Ford built rough"
😂 James got jokes
Why did we move away from column shifters?
Some one has the ranger raptor in the same color in my town with a wide stance
I’ll say this. I have a Colorado with a very nice pipe/ladder rack over the bed/cab. I can carry much more than an 1/2 ton with that AND because the truck isn’t so tall you can get stuff in and out of the bed without needing a step ladder.
I love it when smaller cars get the top treatment like when the Cayman got the GT car treatment, or the 1 Series got the M treatment
This is just that, the Ranger getting the Raptor treatment Although, this car has an air of Caymanism, like it not having amber headlights because if you want that you have to get the F-150 or the Bronco, and the F-150's trombone loop for better sound? I remember I heard that wouldn't fit in the Ranger but it still sounds like an excuse Porsche would give for like the GT4 RS not getting a manual because it doesn't fit while it not being incredibly convenient by not cannibalizing 911 GT3 sales
But yeah, I love this! ❤️
Gotta thank the EPA for the truck size, this is what pickup trucks should be
These new-gen Rangers really are huge compared to their older counterparts, I drive an '04 FX-4 - it came with an off-road lifted suspension from the factory, and my Ranger is still absolutely dwarfed by the new Rangers.
In a way I'm envious of the cabin space, because I'm 6'2" and I get annoyed by my head touching the liner all the time, and my legs being too long to really be able to relax them in the cab, but the new models are just too much truck for city conditions.
This looks the same size as my 2003 half ton :D, want one so bad:)
Apologies is this has already been asked, but where are did you film the desert running?
$60k Ranger. Hard to wrap my head around it. It's awesome, by my god the prices have got out of hand.
Trucks are cars too, you're good bro.
I seriously wish anybody just made a v8 midsize truck. That will be the true king in this modern era of v6 trucks in the mid size category. Damn epa bs
What's the issue with the shifter?
7:53 "baharing"
How is the mpg worse than a 5.7 Ram 1500 Rebel?!
The most cars I've passed in my life on 2-lane highways was in a Corolla during my college years...
Good thing you watched the video and saw the part where they said, "at speed, the Raptor doesn't have the get up and go that you'd expect."
Speed limit was 55 but for some reason the person at the front of the line wanted to go no faster than 35
Nice review keep up the good work fellas
I thought Extra Throttle House was supposed to be bare-bones and simple. What's with the incredible Kirby CGI?
What dunes are you at?
I love this thing I love the ranger raptor and all of the raptors if I had the money to buy one I would
I hope you guys review a ZR2 Bison.
I wish Ford would give us the option of the 3.0l turbo diesel v6 in the new Ranger that our friends overseas get. Among other things.
Extremely curious how this truck drives. My lincoln sedan has the same engine.
Can’t wait to get one. Just wished the f150 came to the uk
Loved the f150 raptor I had in canda
When I saw this pop up in my feed, my thought was "are these guys testing 5 cars a day right now?" 🤣
You guys are amazing. Thanks
A better interior and panoramic sunroof for another $10,000 would be a hit!
But...another new truck that I love the front, but hate the rear design.
So many people daily these here in NZ and you can see why. We need the next Toyota Hilux asap
"I would want the reliability of a Toyota, this is after all a Ford". Proceeds to break the Toyota in the sister video for the Land Cruiser. Throttle House is 2nd of three auto journalists I've watched so far (3 for 3) managed to break the new Toyotas. TFL, Throttle House and today Donut with over heating transmission during off roading.
This is the one we get here in Ireland!
$77K for a Ford Ranger good god that is nuts

Thomas trying out the paul harrel jacket?
You know you have made it when you are filming the Land Cruiser, and managed to get a Raptor and a LX600 as support vehicles.
The OG Tundra was 8 or 9/10s of a full size truck when it came out. It was intended to be a little smaller... Just a little old-man info.
00:54 Thomas: "You literally just drove by a tundra"
Me: That's very unlikely, it is not cold enough for.... Sees the picture of the *pickup truck* ... 🤦♂
I'll see myself out, everybody.
