I have played with the frame width and focal length sliders and using them both can skew and distort width of image. If you can use basic zoom why do you need those?
Great question. At the time I created the video I didn't understand the use of frame width and focal length, too. Frame width and Focal length are used in photography. I'm not a photography expert however this article will explain it better than I can, imaging.nikon.com/lineup/dslr/basics/19/01.htm#:~:text=The%20focal%20length%20of%20the,mm%2C%20or%20100%20mm).&text=The%20longer%20the%20focal%20length,the%20subject%20appears%20to%20be.
Thank you for the fact that you use both male and female figures. Only ever seeing females in tutorials can get a bit tiring, especially if you're a creator like me who creates almost exclusively male characters. Also, some of us enjoy male bodies much more than female ones, so it's a bit of a relief to occasionally get a break from scantily clad women all of the time. :) Edit: Came back to add that I also really love that you use characters of all races and ethnicities in your work. Diversity is another major thing that seems to be lacking in art tutorials and it's unfortunate. I don't know if anyone else has said it and I think you deserve to know that it's noticed and really appreciated.
Thanks for the kind words. Most Daz Studio Artists focus on the female characters because the skins are better on them and well... sex sells. But that's not me. That's not part of my core values.
@@ParmyBaddhan I agree about the skins. That's why I've been trying to figure out how to raise the skin texture quality myself. I was playing with bump and normal maps last night and getting pretty great results actually. I also do a lot of fantasy and sci-fi characters so I am trying to figure out how to create really dynamic skins for creatures and aliens. It's a work in progress but I'm learning a lot of new things in your tutorials I never considered trying before and really enjoy them.
@@ParmyBaddhan All deserved! Lots of people can be technically good at something, say DAZ in this case, but don't have that ability to get it across to the beginners or users learning a specific aspect. They forget how a complete novice thinks and understands and needs explaining and they use terms people don't know and turn over several pages at once in explaining a process. There is a skill at teaching/explaining lots of people don't have but you certainly do. Not sure if they do already but DAZ ought to link to your videos on their support pages.
This is a great tutorial. You show more than some other tutorials that I have found. It helps a lot.
Thank you. Found a lot of useful stuff for myself in your videos.
