Thanks Nick, I just bought my EQE SUV AMG 43 and there where some details that I did not think about. But now with seeing your review, I'm glad I picked the EQE and not the EQS.
Nick, As always, I enjoy your videos…very good job indeed. Here in the States, running boards are optional on both vehicles, but we found seats in EQS SUV more plush, comfortable particularly with pillows for driver and co-driver. One little nit we had was door arm rests are more substantial, luxurious in EQS. EQE armrests are taken out of the C Class which we find a bit cheap. Not a good move by MB from our perspective. Having owned our EQS SUV for a year now, we have seen 400+ miles on a full charge in mild weather here in South Carolina. However, range falls as temperatures fall. Thankfully, we don’t get too cold here! Keep up the good work. Cheers, Flyboyflash
Thanks for the details. We are a family of 5 used to 7 seaters, we were astonished to find out the EQS has no 6 or 7 seat config here in the UK, a big let down if you ask me. Yet to decide with going for the Tesla X option now. But this is a huge letdown for large families looking to go green.
The EQS is simply ponderous. The proportions are scaled up.fronthe EQE. Not a fan of the EQS size. Chose the EQE as it's proportions are more pleasing. Mine is outfitted like the demonstrator in the video. Something to note, those AMG wheels are quite costly. I had to replace one at 2,500USD
S class and its variants are really tailored for chauffering, giving the extra luxury at the back (comfier seats, electric adjustments, larger sunroof etc). If you are buying the car to drive it yourself, you're better off with the E classes instead. Unless money really is isn't an issue for you. But then again, 6 figures for a car is absolute bonkers. There is a whole generation still working that bought properties for a quarter of what a car costs nowadays...
One of the main reasons for owning my Mercedes E-Class and for ordering a EQE SUV is the tank-like heavy safety of their autos, including the electronic safety features. Why when reviewing Mercedes does no one mention their incredibly safe, heavy and physical build with occupant protection in mind, with relation to most other cars that seem VERY light in physical protection? Volvo, too, has this tank-like quality.
Perfect timing and a great video Nick. Have just started my plans to replace my GLE and the EQE variants are certainly on the list. I’m a big fan of the AMG EQE53. Thoughts?
Thank you! On paper it looks incredible, sadly haven’t manage to try one yet but I’d imagine it’s faster version with the same luxurious interior coupled with AMG elements for even more sportiness!
I'm looking at a MERCEDES-BENZ EQE ESTATE EQE 350 4Matic 215kW AMG Line Prem 89kWh 5dr Auto on a fleet scheme. So the AMG variant is available with the lower powered motor?
Not sure I’ve heard of an EQE estate? Just double check with them as Mercedes only make Saloons of that model. There are different power outputs of most EV’s out there, if you go for the Mercedes-AMG EQE 53, then you’ll get a slightly different grille and sportier elements to differentiate between the two.
Great videos as always! 🔥 I have my EQA 250+ Sport Executive on order and arriving April/May. Would love to see your take on what will be my first ever new car and Mercedes. One I think is ‘the’ perfect gateway to EV and Mercedes. There’s very little in reviews on the new EQA Facelifts. 🙏🏼✌🏼
Lovely cars but I can’t help look at those prices and be amazed at the big difference to the brand new E class. Some 30K depending on models. I’m all for trying to save the planet but the prices difference between ICE and Electric is huge wherever you look. The rich will enjoy Electric and feel good about themselves😊
The irony is that manufacturers are actively complaining to governments about their deadlines because EVs aren't selling as much as they hoped. If only we could figure out why
Hi Nick ! I enjoy watch your channel and you are awesome! I have 2022 EQB, which has only been driven 3,800 miles. Factory schedule maintenance is 2 years or 25,000 miles. So how to reset or eliminat the display on the car screen that the service is overdue, but it is not needed ? Thank you
Hey lovelee7283, Thank you! Glad you enjoy the videos! I’d advise you double check, modern cars will tell you when you need a service and with Mercedes 90% of models are once a year OR every 15,000 miles (whichever comes first) If your car is telling you it needs a service, then it is most likely due one. I’m not aware that EQB’s are 2 years so I would advise to get it checked out! Chat with Mercedes to be 100% sure as I could be wrong.
We were about to place an order for the EQS only to discover it has no 7 or 6 seater option for the UK market, making it a let down. With that being considered, what is the justification to pass on the EQE for this? NOTHING
thanks Nick for your nice videos. I have a question about the lights in my Mercedes Eqb . Mercedes lighting motto doesn’t appear on the floor when I open my car door . how can I check and fix this?!
Thank you! It’s sadly not on all cars from what I’ve seen although most of the time I film during the day so don’t get the opportunity to drive them at night (camera quality’s not that great then! 😅 I’m sure I’ve seen it on GLC and GLE before but not sure about GLB or EQB but chat to Mercedes to know for sure!
Hard to justify the difference in price. They look the same. Pretty dull and uninspiring in my opinion, specially for that amount cash! Crazy. Great comparison video, cheers 👍
Nick, many thanks for your informative videos as always. One doubt I've always had - is it okay to switch the modes (dynamic, comfort, sport ...) while driving or actively in motion. Usually I prefer switching this when I'm at a complete halt. Thanks

What manufacturers read:
