My dad is a proverbs 31 man. My mum blossomed because of him she soared in her career. supported her in different exploits because he saw her gifts, recognized them and encouraged her. I always tell her, she does not even know how good she has it. I thank God for this blessing and I pray for long life for them.🙏

As a young man, God guides me to study Joseph, the husband of Mary.
He made realise how important was Joseph in the assignment given to Mary.
After the angel visited Joseph, the way he leads and protect his family for the sake of God’s Plan is beautiful.
Joseph is a proverb 31 man and an exemple for many men. The Gospels don’t talk much about him but the little we know is beyond measure about this incredible man.

When I studied Proverbs 31 back in 2021, I said to myself 'Only Jesus Christ is worthy of this kind of wife'.
To be a Proverbs 31 man, Jesus Christ must be the Lord, Master and everything He has to in the life of the man.

@@nanas.recipes_ If the head you chose is not submitted to God, then don't expect the unexpected same applies to men. Even if the choice was a mistake following 1peter 3-7 will do you great help. Finally, understand that there's never going to be two heads in a successful marriage.

These thoughts have been in my mind all week! Every time I read that scripture, I ask “Where is the Man?” “What does he do?” I keep saying a proverbs 31 woman with a lazy & entitled man is a finished woman!

Prov 31:1-9 King Lemuel speaks of how a Man should be. Prov 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Prov 31 Man Is A Great Man.. 🙏🏾🙌🏾♥️
Though the woman is not of any less value "the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church". As a man, getting intimated by your wife's prosperity is just as hating to see your own body in good health or trying to say Christ didn't want to see the church doing greater things.
Women, know what you are choosing as a head before making commitments.
That man is already a king in the beginning verses, and better still that woman made sure that "the heart of her husband steadily trusts her, that he doesnt need spoils" from the first verses, so true... her win is his win.

Thank you soooo much for this! For years, I thought I was crazy. Lol. But I am not the only one to see this.
I also believe that it is okay for a woman to desire to not do traditional work (that is solely for the purpose to earn money). The mandate is for a woman to be diligent. If she desires to be a stay at home wife/mom and make little to no money, that is okay as long as she is not be slothful/lazy/etc but diligent with her hands (whatever that looks like) in things that are beneficial to the family and the Kingdom. Money is not the only measure of a work’s/job’s value. Mom’s do free labor all the time and it is one of the most important jobs there is.
I know it may seem almost impossible in today’s time for men to provide fully (in America at least) but I believe if God has given your family that desire, He will provide the way for it to happen.
Also, the yoke should be easy and the burden light. We must operate in love/compassion and God’s will.

You are one brave woman. Your exegesis is of the Spirit. The issue we have at hand is that people have interpreted the bible through the lenses of culture. Submission has been turned into subversion and doormats. The end result of that is a rebellious spirit. Headship is a blessing, it has nothing to do with control but all to do with sacrifice.
