My Husband left me after 25 yrs of marriage, I worked my entire life married, I did everything in my power to empower my family, we had 4 kids suffered homelessness together and then he got an near death accident in construction he was awarded millions and he left us for a younger woman and started another Family (she broke the news to me via text) with a pic of their daughter… that happened in 2013… I’ve become a Mother and Father alone but with Jesus by our side ❤

No rest for her, she even cooks for other women in her house, her handmaidens, they are the ones who gets waited on, her husband gets to sit his azz down at the gate while she works like a mule....I wish I would. So, if your religious husband tells you to get a maid, like this woman you following did, you would say it's inspired by God but it's inspired by King Lemuel's mother who only want the best for her son. Those handmaidens are for her husband for sex because she is too tired, working from sun up to sun down.
In 1962 my oldest sister was 20 and she came to ask permission from our father to get married. My father said no. My sister was already of age she did not need to ask my father for her permission but that's who we are as a family we don't ever do anything without our parents permission. But my father went ahead and use that opportunity as my oldest sister was 19. And I was 12 years old. He sent both my sister and myself down and we had a heart-to-heart talk with our father and he said if you think that you want to get married you're going to have taken consideration that your husband will be the head of the household if you do not think that you can allow your husband to be head of the household. Don't ever bother to get married..... My father always told us somebody in that house has to be the head of the household. And it's my father would say this is a man's world. But as ladies we make it as beautiful as we can.. and not put any undue burdens on our husband's that we don't need to. Thank you for your time

This is why God warns us to not be unequally yoked. It was a warning. Because now you have to devote yourself to work even harder to live out your faith in Christ so that the other person can come to salvation. You should always be in Christian Character regardless of who he or she is…because God judges you for what you did at the end of the day. Dont worry about someone elses conduct…worry about your own. If you want someone worthy of that submission from the start…then you pray and ask God for that type of man. And i can tell you the greatest evidence if they are from God then they are already farther in their spiritual walk with God they are able to teach you about theology…they take care of you and the people inside your home. It wont be a question. A man from God already has God.
I am so grateful to have had the Mother we did! Proverbs 31 always reminded me of my dear Mother who died 25 years ago now! Mother was a devout Christian and we were raised in a Christ-centered home because of her love for Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible! I modeled myself after her when I got married and we had 2 children! I am an elderly widow now and our 2 children are both married, have their own homes, AND ARE SAVED! Praise God!❤

I agree with most you say, however, my Mom and now I have always mai tained our own bank accounts and i also maintain my own credit card. My Dad insisted, he was a long haul trucker. If something should happen to him on the road, my Mom could still pay bills until things were settled. I took that to heart and have done the same. My husband totally agrees. If somethinng happens to him, i have my own credit rating and bank account to deal with things until the estate is settled. I am a good steward of everything financial,, as well as my home. He is a wonderful father and provider. But being a provider also means forward planning for the unexpected and being confident that families are going to be ok and the wife can step up and continues to take care of things.
What a good exposition on Proverbs 31. Easy to understand as well. Couldn't grasp the whole chapter before but now after listening to this sermon I got it. Godly women are virtuous and kind. Her household is peaceful and loves her husband and respects him as the head of the household. She breastfeeds her babies instead of giving them formula from foreign countries. Her husband is patient during her pregnancy and faithful to her, never committing adultery. Their children are kind and loving, mirroring their parents as they read and do Gods will within the cities. Gods churches
Stop shaming women for how they feed their babies! Several of my friends were unable to breastfeed (baby wouldn't latch, baby COULDN'T latch, chronic mastitis, inverted nipples). In times past, they would have hired a wetnurse if they could afford it. Or if the child couldn't latch, the child would have died. Nowadays they use formula. And every single one, as she fed her baby and kept her child alive, suffered judgment from busybodies telling them that they were "bad mothers" because didn't they know "breast is best"?

If, after salvation, women got this one message and really chased this, the world would be 90% closer to paradise. It really would. And run straight to hell with all our wedding.vows. May I share the reason that I am bible studying again. In 2003 allows my husband to the disease named Alzheimer's. I had only been married for almost than seven years. 2003 until 2021. I close out a chapter of my life of being a widow by choice for 20 years. The first seven years of my grief I would sleep all day and read the Bible all night. Everybody deals with grief different that's how I dealt with my grief. The proverbs 31 lady firstly , has maid servants . Her husband is a respected figure. She does not have ADHD , Autistic and handicapped children to attend to , who clings to her 24/7 and she is not into prayer, warfare 24/7. She's busy about her family matters and no lady shld be aspiring to be like her without the SAME conditions that she has. It is inaccurate to cite her as a role model but not ensure that all ladies has what she has. Ladies, be led by the Spirit of God alone as we all have a unique divine purpose that God has for us. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life.
1 Corinthians spells it out pretty well I think, but really it is achieved when woman and men see this as a beautiful reality that mirrors the big God of the bible. The role of the man and woman is meant to be a reflection of Gods greatness. The woman in her submission helps her man submit to God. The man in his responsibility and leadership continues to be the love of God (action, real, authentically devoted to Jesus) we all need
First you need to have Christ as your Savior. Pray pray pray, let go of worldliness and what the media says of women and men. Pray for wisdom - the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Loading the dishwasher, picking up your kids and listening to them, mopping the floor, buying the clothes needed, being attentive to your family's needs - that's what this is about. But first, ask Jesus to be your Savior and Lord.
Funny how Proverbs 31 was written to a man instructed by a woman. The woman in this proverb describes any Christian woman. Single, married, divorced or widowed. Free to develop her gifts and skills with her husband behind her. Yay!
The word of God in proverb 31 speaks about a married woman please refer to verse 10 and further more it talks about the family, children and husband. And yes the women should tell the man since it is befitting that for her to know. in titus 2:4-8 older women are to train young women this also inform us to the information that women know more in regards to her own roles and responsibilities according to the word of God. And that all she does is for her husband and family.

Oh my goodness. Shame on this pastor, I find it strange that he speaks of women's responsibilities before a mans when men are supposed to lead according to God's word. He is going down a dangerous road speaking of hard-working women like that. We work hard for our money too!! This isn't the 1950s anymore. Be careful, ladies who you chose to marry; so many men are disobedient to God and lazy. They trick you into thinking they will be a leader and a wonderful husband just for you to find out they are a liar. This puts mothers in extremely tough positions. I am priceless to my husband he couldn't do it without me, and he tells me this all the time. Our government has robbed women of staying home. It takes two in a marriage. Most men won't take the head of the home. They would rather the woman run the show its easier for them. God commands a man to be the leader and to be under his authority and to keep her in his word, but so many men won't. If you are smart, you will stay single. Then you can have a career and not be put down for it. God even says it's better to stay single. I work much harder than my husband, and he tells me that. We would live in a tent if i didn't work. I work a full-time job, and I deal with the house, the cooking the children, the grandchildren the bills the vehicles the yard work. I can't begin to list it all. I've been married 38 years, and he has never, even once, made me a meal. Even when I had covid and was very sick! My father is the same. He sits in a chair and doesn't do a thing. He's been retired over 20 years. He unfortunately refuses to do what God has asked him to do. My husband lets me do it all, and my poor, hard-working mother is 81 and exhausted, but she is a servant for the Lord. My father just benefits because of it. She is not a door mat. Remember, men only wear shorts on the beach strutting around it's not just women. God says many things in his word, but I fear this pastor has a bad attitude towards women his words are like a knife without any knowledge of each individual homes situation. I would like to know of any man who's impeccable nowadays, even with a perfect wife. Which doesn't exist. There is no one that is perfect. Thank the Lord for his grace and forgiveness. There are some children that don't get to eat at all. I eat microwave food myself. To say a mom is wrong for having a job helping financially and not cooking a homemade meal is really ridiculous. A proverbs 31 woman IS a modern day woman…. She's a business woman, an active mother, home maker, partner, well dressed, amplifies her husband, and loves the lord….. The intro to the sermon is very off putting….
Some women will never show their true self unless they find a man with good character, not just charming, dashing personality on the outside but good virtues shown in his actions. They carefully observe their actions, words and behaviour. Once she is confirmed that she found the man though imperfect in many ways but strives to uphold good morals, she steps in and fills the gap. No matter how hard it maybe for her, she endures bc her husband walks in righteous path and delights God. Her priority and will of God is to submit to her man, help him with decisions like Abigail, Esther in old testament. A man with good character becomes a best father for her children and proud grandpa of their descendants. But if the woman finds out the man is good only from the outside and deceiving from inside then she carefully plans her escape from him. She shows herself as a detestable woman in his eyes for him to reject her. Either stay single and serve Lord or select a man with good character to keep away from falling into sin, protect her household from generational curse. Good character is important so one supports other in difficult times bc flesh is weak. If a good person becomes corrupt later in life then prayer will fix them but choosing a deceiving person and falling into sin is worst decision.
It doesn't work that way, a proverbs 31 woman isn't good because her husband is good to her. She is good because her god is good, so she gives thanks to her god by honoring her husband. You shouldn't be a good wife because your husband is good, you should be a good wife because it makes God proud.
You can be a excellent wife with a fool for a husband.. not easy to be all of those listed and some you can't be die to husbands foolishness. God knows and sees you. Keep abiding in Jesus and trusting Him.
My husband died in 2018, after 31 years of marriage He wrote that verse in my Bible about me and gave it to me as a Christmas present. I have since remarried and I cannot do anything right. Two different men and two different opinions of me. I have tried until I can't do this anymore. The mental and emotional abuse has made me question my own self worth, although, I know I have bent so far I'm going to break. God is aware and sees me. I've tried to save the marriage to the extent that the 'I' I was , I can't find her. God help me to make the right decision. God is my father and I know he'll give me the grace to stay or go. I wonder why we read this proverbs chapter and never realize it’s a description of the remnant church on earth? Women try to meet these ideals and fail to their personal and private shame..God used the writings of Solomon..wisest man to ever live He said…to show us the fruits of the remnant church and why God loved and loves this Church above all. Further still…the 10 virgins represented the church on earth…and the seven women seeking 1 man to give them His name and they will do everything else, also represent churches…the daughters of the harlot also represented churches..not the remnant church. Finally the harlot of Babylon clothed in fine robes with the cup in her hand and the woman clothed in light with the stars over her head and the moon beneath her feet also speaks of the worldly church versus the remnant church. ❤ God tells us that a Woman’s true beauty is in her character. Put your focus on God first then your husband. You can work, just make sure your career doesn't get in the way of your faith and husband's needs. No husband, you can work but also use your time to focus on God and find ways to serve others.

She is old and those handmaids are young laying in bed while she walking to work in the SNOW earning her keep. The word wasn't "stupid" it was "dumb". The word dumb here is referring to people who did not have a voice in society. The people who were rarely listened to. It is not referring to people who are unintelligent. She is advising her son to stand up for those who were treated unjustly.

My Husband left me after 25 yrs of marriage, I worked my entire life married, I did everything in my power to empower my family, we had 4 kids suffered homelessness together and then he got an near death accident in construction he was awarded millions and he left us for a younger woman and started another Family (she broke the news to me via text) with a pic of their daughter… that happened in 2013… I’ve become a Mother and Father alone but with Jesus by our side ❤

In 1962 my oldest sister was 20 and she came to ask permission from our father to get married. My father said no. My sister was already of age she did not need to ask my father for her permission but that's who we are as a family we don't ever do anything without our parents permission. But my father went ahead and use that opportunity as my oldest sister was 19. And I was 12 years old. He sent both my sister and myself down and we had a heart-to-heart talk with our father and he said if you think that you want to get married you're going to have taken consideration that your husband will be the head of the household if you do not think that you can allow your husband to be head of the household. Don't ever bother to get married..... My father always told us somebody in that house has to be the head of the household. And it's my father would say this is a man's world. I am so grateful to have had the Mother we did! Proverbs 31 always reminded me of my dear Mother who died 25 years ago now! Mother was a devout Christian and we were raised in a Christ-centered home because of her love for Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible! I modeled myself after her when I got married and we had 2 children! I am an elderly widow now and our 2 children are both married, have their own homes, AND ARE SAVED! Praise God!❤

I agree with most you say, however, my Mom and now I have always mai tained our own bank accounts and i also maintain my own credit card. My Dad insisted, he was a long haul trucker. If something should happen to him on the road, my Mom could still pay bills until things were settled. I took that to heart and have done the same. My husband totally agrees. If somethinng happens to him, i have my own credit rating and bank account to deal with things until the estate is settled. I am a good steward of everything financial,, as well as my home. He is a wonderful father and provider. But being a provider also means forward planning for the unexpected and being confident that families are going to be ok and the wife can step up and continues to take care of things.

Stop shaming women for how they feed their babies! Several of my friends were unable to breastfeed (baby wouldn't latch, baby COULDN'T latch, chronic mastitis, inverted nipples). In times past, they would have hired a wetnurse if they could afford it. Or if the child couldn't latch, the child would have died. Nowadays they use formula. And every single one, as she fed her baby and kept her child alive, suffered judgment from busybodies telling them that they were "bad mothers" because didn't they know "breast is best"?

The proverbs 31 lady firstly , has maid servants . Her husband is a respected figure. She does not have ADHD , Autistic and handicapped children to attend to , who clings to her 24/7 and she is not into prayer, warfare 24/7. She's busy about her family matters and no lady shld be aspiring to be like her without the SAME conditions that she has. It is inaccurate to cite her as a role model but not ensure that all ladies has what she has. Ladies, be led by the Spirit of God alone as we all have a unique divine purpose that God has for us. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life.

How is this achieved in modern times?
1 Corinthians spells it out pretty well I think, but really it is achieved when woman and men see this as a beautiful reality that mirrors the big God of the bible. The role of the man and woman is meant to be a reflection of Gods greatness. The woman in her submission helps her man submit to God. The man in his responsibility and leadership continues to be the love of God (action, real, authentically devoted to Jesus) we all need
First you need to have Christ as your Savior. Pray pray pray, let go of worldliness and what the media says of women and men. Pray for wisdom - the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Loading the dishwasher, picking up your kids and listening to them, mopping the floor, buying the clothes needed, being attentive to your family's needs - that's what this is about. But first, ask Jesus to be your Savior and Lord.

The word of God in proverb 31 speaks about a married woman please refer to verse 10 and further more it talks about the family, children and husband. And yes the women should tell the man since it is befitting that for her to know. in titus 2:4-8 older women are to train young women this also inform us to the information that women know more in regards to her own roles and responsibilities according to the word of God. Oh my goodness. Shame on this pastor, I find it strange that he speaks of women's responsibilities before a mans when men are supposed to lead according to God's word. He is going down a dangerous road speaking of hard-working women like that. We work hard for our money too!! This isn't the 1950s anymore. Be careful, ladies who you chose to marry; so many men are disobedient to God and lazy. They trick you into thinking they will be a leader and a wonderful husband just for you to find out they are a liar. This puts mothers in extremely tough positions. This pastor makes you feel as if it's too high of a mountain to climb. I have listened to him for years. You always go away feeling like you can't do enough! He isn't very loving as a minister to the people. He seems to only preach rules and laws. You speak of women as if they are trash beneath the feet of men if they aren't perfect. Thank you, God, that I know who I am in you without the opinion of a pastor who knows any idea of what my situation is!!

You certainly dont spare any expense in those fancy suits you wear. Jack Hibbs doesn't dress fancy like that, but he speaks from Gods word in a way that encourages people to want to serve the Lord and do better. You preach defeat and despair. There are some children that don't get to eat at all. I eat microwave food myself. To say a mom is wrong for having a job helping financially and not cooking a homemade meal is really ridiculous. I muted you because your words are being used in a negative and disrespectful manner to hard-working women. I know many many women that work two and three jobs and if she wants to buy nice clothes to feel pretty that is not being a disrespectful woman. You speak of tough women. We have to be we live in a despicable hard core world or have you not noticed. I love to look nice for my husband, so he is proud of me. 😮
The bible also says for men to love your wives , as hi own body. Also be not bitter agaist them yes prov.31: is a verygood pattern for woman, but she worked her job at home but had a business selling her product to the merchants in the market place. I personally was the stay at home mom, homeschooled my 2 children , took care of the house worked at my church's daycare babyset other peopl's kids at diffwrent times kids married l have6 gr chidren. I dont know how l did all this but gid helped me esp. With the homeschooling. God is gracious. Husband had a challenge at work awoman was involved. Ever sense ww2 woman had to be in the workforce. Some women will never show their true self unless they find a man with good character, not just charming, dashing personality on the outside but good virtues shown in his actions. They carefully observe their actions, words and behaviour. Once she is confirmed that she found the man though imperfect in many ways but strives to uphold good morals, she steps in and fills the gap. No matter how hard it maybe for her, she endures bc her husband walks in righteous path and delights God. Her priority and will of God is to submit to her man, help him with decisions like Abigail, Esther in old testament. A man with good character becomes a best father for her children and proud grandpa of their descendants. But if the woman finds out the man is good only from the outside and deceiving from inside then she carefully plans her escape from him. She shows herself as a detestable woman in his eyes for him to reject her. Either stay single and serve Lord or select a man with good character to keep away from falling into sin, protect her household from generational curse. Good character is important so one supports other in difficult times bc flesh is weak. If a good person becomes corrupt later in life then prayer will fix them but choosing a deceiving person and falling into sin is worst decision.
I would gladly be a Proverbs 31 wife if my husband is a Proverbs 1-9 man.
It doesn't work that way, a proverbs 31 woman isn't good because her husband is good to her. She is good because her god is good, so she gives thanks to her god by honoring her husband. You shouldn't be a good wife because your husband is good, you should be a good wife because it makes God proud.
Seek the kingdom of heaven, before you seek a husband.

You can be a excellent wife with a fool for a husband.. not easy to be all of those listed and some you can't be die to husbands foolishness. God knows and sees you. Keep abiding in Jesus and trusting Him.
My husband died in 2018, after 31 years of marriage He wrote that verse in my Bible about me and gave it to me as a Christmas present.

I wonder why we read this proverbs chapter and never realize it’s a description of the remnant church on earth? Women try to meet these ideals and fail to their personal and private shame..God used the writings of Solomon..wisest man to ever live He said…to show us the fruits of the remnant church and why God loved and loves this Church above all. Further still…the 10 virgins represented the church on earth…and the seven women seeking 1 man to give them His name and they will do everything else, also represent churches…the daughters of the harlot also represented churches..not the remnant church. Put your focus on God first then your husband. You can work, just make sure your career doesn't get in the way of your faith and husband's needs.
