I fly Premium economy on EVA air all the time to Taipei, some times you get an amenity kit, some times you don't. The food is the same as Economy, but you get metal silverware. Congee is always available on the Chinese breakfast meal

The first time that I travelled Elite class (premium economy) was with EVA to Hong Kong and I was impressed then when I went to Thailand I travelled with them again. On my trip to Taipei I tried China Airlines premium and was not disappointed with their perks and service. Both airlines I will gladly recommend.
Omg I love EVA AIR it’s probs the only Plane I ever been on and I’ve been on airplanes for at least 10-15 times. I also fly from California To Taiwan every other year. I’m going to Taiwan in one week😊
Flown Eva Premium Economy 12 times and Eva Laurel class 4 times. Hello Kitty gate seems to be my most common gate and even flew the hello kitty plane a few times. Eva Premium Economy always seems to be $400-$500 more than regular economy but for the 16 hour (westbound) and 13-14 hour (eastbound) flights, the extra seat width and legroom make it well worth it. Only downside is the armrest doesn’t fold up so when you don’t have a neighbor, you can’t really sprawl out. I usually get the window seat and bring a larger pillow so I can lean up against the wall to sleep most of the flight. Yes, Laurel class was awesome once I figured out how to use United miles to upgrade. Since my westbound flights leave at 1am, I usually want to go right to sleep but how do you turn down roasted duck breast and filet mignon so the first few hours are eating all the food placed in front of you. The mid flight cheeseburger and fries is actually very good too. Back to premium economy, I highly recommend it on Eva, but get the window / aisle on the side of the plane since it is 2 seats verses the center seats which are 4 across. I am 5’11” and 240 pounds so if I can find it comfortable, I am sure smaller people will love it. Having flown both Eva and Singapore Air, I think the Eva flight crews make that extra effort that pushes them over the top with service. Yes, Singapore Air is great, don’t get me wrong, but Eva takes that extra effort to win my best airline vote.

Last time I flew with Eva Air in Economy Class, from Vancouver to Japan last year, the food served was good, very good. I was so surprised how good it was and I was raving about it to another passenger on the same flight. We both agreed. However, on the return flight from Japan to Vancouver, the food weren't that good. It looks like the catering was downgraded to a budget caterer. We were served two meals and both trays I had to return to the flight attendant with just 2 bites. I was really disappointed with the quality of the food. I thought it would have been better seeing we were flying from Japan and thought it would had been catered by a Japanese company.
We send our nephew alone on a trip to the US every summer to visit his Mom before (he studied in the Philippines until mid-HS) when we were still living in the Philippines and he’ll get transferred to a business class according to him. And there’s this one time that they even let him in the cockpit to co-pilot (of course not really co-piloting, they just showed him how the airplane works etc) and other fun stuff.
TJ next time you fly please keep some wet wipes in your hand luggage cos you def need to be wiping down the tray table, arm rest and head rest! and for the love of god DONT stick your hand down the pocket in front of you where they keep the headphones, safety leaflet etc
I always fly EVA air whenever I go to Macau. Iti's so much more convenient flying straight from JFK to Taipei and then hopping on a smaller plane to Macau. EVA is definitely one of the best airlines out there! I even go to sit in the Hello Kitty plane once XD

Just came back to Toronto from Singapore and we flew EVA premium economy. Great experience, definitely worth it, ll do it again. Only problem was our flight back to Toronto was cancelled because of a Hurricane/Typhoon so we had to go Taiwan to Vancouver and then Air Canada back to Toronto (what a difference!)
As an ex flight attendant I can tell you in each meal is at least 3000 calories, that's part of the preservative (oil,butter fat) they add to make a frozen year old casserole still juicy and taste good. Just good to know :P
While some people definitely pay for their business class, it’s not too hard to fly business with miles and points. Flying EVA in Feb for 150 dollar business YVR-TPE. But love your channel! Much more entertaining than those premium travel channels - keep it up! :)
When I flew to Tokyo and back in July, on Delta, the food on the plane was better than I anticipated, honestly. It was surprisingly tasty! They had Haagen Daz as well. I liked it just fine.
I love Eva air I traveled premium economy to get from USA to Taipei and then Thailand and the whole experience was nice I definitely will fly Eva air again and will be with my kids.
