Honestly, I am not lying when I say that I would buy an album full of remade/reinterpretation of classics by Young K. He has been killing it with the classics - his voice, the acoustics, the songs = they all fit so well together!
I'm an anxious person, and it's hard for me to focus on one thing for more than a minute. But something about Young K's voice overrides that every time. This video, hearing him, watching him; it made me so still. A kind of stillness that isn't natural to me and I'm not used to, but his singing just made everything in me slow down until it halted completely. I wasn't paying attention to myself because I was so immersed in the song, but in retrospect I was just so unmoving, and calm. I really am so relaxed now, out of nowhere. I love music so much and there's many singers that impress and affect me, but I mean when I say that no one has ever come close to this. Like this level of being touched and moved and healed by a single person's voice. Maybe my mother's singing, so to put Young K anywhere near that category is, you can understand, a big deal. I can't stop smiling but also feeling a little wistful. The song in itself is so steeped in emotion and hope and promise, and Young K did it more than justice. As always he gave it new life and twisted it to represent his emotion and his take on the lyrics and the meaning and it comes across so genuinely and so well. I think the fact that he smiles so sweetly while he sings is telling enough. Really such a talented person. I think we're lucky to exist at the same time, at least I am. And i love that they kept the sweet interaction at the end and didn't edit it out. He was so happy to receive such a spontaneous compliment and it's just never going to be enough to compensate for how much love and appreciation he deserves, but I'm glad there are moments here and there that are there to remind him just how important he is, and how important his contributions to this cultural patchwork quilt of music are. I can say with certainty that I love his voice really I really do. And i'm just grateful for the way it makes me a better person. Hearing him sing. I know that sounds like a heavy thing to attribute to just someone singing, but credit where it's due - and I can't brush aside how wholly renewed this one song cover made me feel. Thank you Young K.

i remember this was the first young one cover ive seen of him, my sister showed me this and i immediately and absolutely fell inlove with his voice and him too.. then a month or earlier i became a myday and im not even regretting stanning day6.. despite the pandemic i can really say that discovering day6 is one of the good things that happened to me this year :))
