Theft, plagiarism, hacks, exploits, mismanagement, and finally, a complete lack of advertising is killing Tower of Fantasy.
What do you think though? Will it last through 2023, or will it fade into obscurity?
It will last through 2023. Likewise, it's you who may start to fade into obscurity if you keep up with such content and trying to clickbait people into disliking the game. Learn how to do titles properly and try to post some positive news, numbskull.
Already faded
Literally none of that, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Lack of content and lack of access to SSR beyond the handful of base ones means people don't have much to do past a few days after a release.
the last guy who spread false information about Hotta was already in court, good luck 🤞
Zero of the things you said are the actual reason ppl quit. The reason are dailies and garbage MMO aspects (game advertises as MMO). Asmon had a pretty good take on this game.
If there's one thing I've learned from Pokemon over the last 20 and a half decades, it's that labeling something an "x" killer never actually works and almost always does more harm than good, especially when the makers themselves are the ones doing it. At best, you'll manage to exist along side the thing, but never surpass it.
I have an on and off relationship with the game and argue that it isn't beyond saving, but I doubt anything will change any time soon
that's how i felt and why i quit the game... it's not all terrible but has many problems and they never get addressed or fixed.
Yeah. Every month that passes is more players lost, which is even more difficult to recover from.
I'll still keep playing regardless. Hmm
As you should!

How bout now? lol
There's no denying the bugs and exploits the game's had and there's still things to fix, but as I've said before, if this game is dead, it's a very active zombie.
if you are playing and love the game, you tend to delude yourself, so yeah, sure
@@annoyedtorchic8270 If you're not playing and hate the game, you'll of course not find anything good with it, so yeah, whatever.
Well this is game is kinda different from Genshin and others so I like it it’s fun to play
@@pontoancora You can look at your numbers all you want. I play on one of the less populated servers and we just had about 20 people join to fight the world bosses. I'll repeat myself. If this game is dead, it's a very active zombie.
@@isidornimages dude….. an mmo should have like 9-10 channels of 50-100 people fighting a world boss. Idk what era you hail from but struggling to get even 20 people to show up to harrah is very much dead lol.
to me, plagiarism/theft/asset flip are very significant as an artist. I love the post apocalyptic setting, they did a great job, but the devs are just so unprofessional
Yup. Clearly nothing is off limits for them!
I mean human in general still exist, inheriting and technology is still improving just because of this. It’s gathering ideas from others and improving. We don’t just start from the very beginning, we continue.
@@gojosatoru136 you must not understand what plagiarism or art theft are, it has nothing to do with innovation or progress, quite the opposite.
It was a mistake hotta made many months ago in CN and now ToF is getting more than 10x players in 2.4 update
@@gojosatoru136 inspiration and copyright infringement are different, if they wanted to copy a design they'd have to have an agreement from the said company. Inspiration is taking an idea and giving it your own take, stealing is taking others' works, trace em without crediting. I usually don't call other games copycats, I love to play games inspired by my favorite games. The game itself took inspirations, had its own unique, genuinely interesting takes, then ripped many little busy works off
Let's goo monthly tower of fantasy death video has been uploaded, looking for another years to go

he just hates all gacha games except G 😂
all new anime game now is "genshin killer " LOL 😂

If we could spread love as quickly as we spread hate and negativity, what an amazing world we would live in.
On this channel? Impossible. This community is full of attention seekers and haters.
how is that relevant?
Sometimes it is important to love yourself enough to realize when something could exploit that goodness. A gacha game, as fun as it may be, can be held to scrutiny without it being hatred and negativity. This statement is fine in general, but in this particular instance it feels like an excuse.
@@f.b.lagent1113 hes saying that negativity spreads quicker than good stuff, basically making an analogy saying that everyone spreads the negative stuff about tof quicker than the good
Quicker/more
Tower of fantasy is still fun
u still play it???
With the dwindling playerbase and other highly anticipated games coming out, I think the last chance they have at keeping what’s left of their playerbase is the underwater update. I can admit that it looks really good but looks alone cannot take a game very far. If they screw that up then they might end up like Volition, the makers of Saint’s Row or they will just shut down.
It's kinda interesting too how the new desert area came when Genshin planned to release Sumeru in version 3.0. And then an underwater area, which Genshin also had planned for version 4.0, Fontaine, is planned to be made. It's as if they have the knowledge of what genshin devs are planning to work on in the future, so by releasing it first, they thought they could steal some of the playerbase away only from them. But the game is a failure since the start tho, so it's to be expected that this was probably programmed by devs with the same coding skill as yandere simulator dev or something since bugs still exist even on 1-2 years of the CN server with daily maintenance and all only to find new bugs everyday.
@@Qopa nah, the underwater thing has been in Honor of Kings World way before Genshin probably even thought about adding it. Hotta probably had help from their parent company Tencent in adding the underwater thing which was based off of HOKW, the movements and animations are very identical except HOKW had more polished graphics. If anything, I'd say they took an already existing concept from one of their upcoming games and placed it on TOF.
@@ayemjake Is that game even out yet? I don't think it's fair to say considering that ToF had been out for more than a year, even before HOKW. It's just somewhat suspicious how the release of the desert area aligns with Genshin Sumeru update that supposed to be out in like a couple of months later, then now with Fontaine and the underwater region (sneakpeak in Nahida demo teaser), and what's next? I bet you, if the game is still somehow alive for another year, they will make natlan, a volcanic area next.
@@Qopa the next area is up in the skies, you can already look at the sneak peak. Also you think they were like oh yesterday genshin announced a dessert lets make one and do it in like 2 days? Wtf genshin didn't invent the deserts or the ocean... It's a common game topic on almost all exploration type games
@@Qopa of course everything is stolen from genshin
When underwater previews were released, nobody had even heard about Fontaine featuring underwater mechanics:)
Sad part about it… that song they have is a banger…
I remember the first time I heard it on top of the floating lab when the fireworks started firing and boy was I IN for it.
Especially so after finding out that at the top of 2 other places you can also hear it for some reason. (Atop the tower of fantasy and hykros)
But after a while I guess it was the only good thing I found in its entirety.
I still play but most of the time I’m just demotivated, tired to even try anything.
Boss monsters never get hunted in the open world so it’s impossible to kill ‘em.
Raids and stuff barely have player traffic.
Dungeons take forever and multiple tries to even make a full team and doing it alone, unless you’re a big time whale, is impossible for regular players… unless you do it on the lower difficulties but you’ll have less chance to get anything useful.
It’s a good game that didn’t execute properly it’s properties and actions I guess.
And let’s not talk about how stupid the character we use looks in cutscenes 😭😭😭😭
Why is my Tall Character looking like a dwarf or something in Cutscenes ? Why 😭😭😭😭
I kinda just wish they fix the dynamic and overall involvement of our player character in the cutscenes and stuff even if the rest remains kind of the same.
the title should be like this "The Death of Tower of Fantasy(5)" , "The Death of Tower of Fantasy(6)" , "The Death of Tower of Fantasy(7)"
Is this just me or Stix already make a video about "ToF die" for the 5th times already ? Yea we get it, its already dead, its a mobile game with an extremely awful optimization, server feels empty, Bugfest full of hackers as well. Of course its going to be a failure. Everything you mentioned in this video pretty much same thing you said on previous video. Is recycling a content a trend now ?
This is the first time I've done a video on ToF explaining everything they've done over the last year on this channel. Every previous video was dedicated to a single topic.
@@Stixxy i see, so it is a recycling content
lmao it's all old news and recycled content, there's no reason to make this video except for views
My reason for leaving the game was simple. The speed you gain levels doesn't keep pace with your ability to acquire more BP. You end up with access to content at "your" level but unplayable.
INSTEAD OF GENSHIN KILLER, NOW THEY BECOME THE TOF KILLER, IF THEY DIDN'T FIX THE AMOUNT OF PROBLEMS , LOOKS LIKE IT IS BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT THIS MUCH EXPERIENCED IN DEVELOPEMENT, THEY COME TO A POINT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE, SAD BECAUSE THE GAME DID HAVE POTENTIAL IF THEY ONLY HAVE DONE BETTER FIXING AND ALSO NOT STEALLING !
THEY CREATED THE GAME ON A RUSH, THIS IS THEIR BIGGEST MISTAKE !
Found the physical main LMFAO
Bruh. 💀
At least they gettin Umi soon
So I think stix didnt even mentions in my eye the most important part that causes the game to fail.
The gameplay has big flaws and that is I think the ACTUAL nail in the coffin
No proper endgame besides more gacha hunting and climbing in an endless gear rating.
Even tho population has dropped rapidly no server merges.
A Guild system that requires you to have 100's of active players in a game that has none.
(like there is no reason to have a small guild, as you will never progress your guild...)
AND
They sell it as an MMORPG, but in fact you might almost never encounter any players when traveling through the world. Besides Worldbosses and instances...
AND!!!!!
The fact that chinees version gets loads of amazing cool discounts while the global version is perhaps the most expensive gacha game i have seen with an average 2,5 Euros per pull...
an 80 to garantee which is 200 euro per garanteed SSR charracter...
While china regulary gives you loads of stuff for very very little...
That was for me the main reason i quit. Permanently
@@1nv15BL3 `
1. Game needs to have atleast an decent thing to do from the get go and not the same boring stuff over and over again.
(yes most mmo's had atleast a proper endgame from release)
2. They wont be merging servers, only giving server transfers which is ass if you have an entire guild! where half the guild (ugh mobile players) dont or barely communicate.
4. I used to have one of the most populated servers and i still basically never encountered anybody
5. Not going after just the devs im going after the game, the entire game!
- There are good gacha games their just rare, and so far only one of them has a good fair gacha system. Azur Lane
- Genshin Impact (i am not a fan of it but with the large amount of players i cant call it boring), Arknights also not, Neither is Honkai Impact
- that I have noticed, but they are still making alot of mistakes. Including patches with bugs that have already been fixed
Giving players the same issues at launch as the chinese players encountered. If your game isn't finished but you have a finished state. Just hold on with releasing until you have the entire thing.
6. My last point, the catch up mechanic makes it really hard for new players to join. you get pushed in to endgame way to fast. You are incredibly undergeared by that time. The earlier level raids literally do not get used because nobody is low level. All the shitty undergeared players plague. harder high level dungeons etc.
For me the main reason to leave is the anxiety this game gives me not any of the points i mentioned. But the points i have mentioned are extremely frustrating and a very good reason to leave
Tbh 'gear rating' is a major red flag i noticed way before the game release, almost every game that had is guaranteed for downfall due many implications caused by 'gear rating' no matter how big or small that game is, just like WoW.. especially WoW
Im just glad the game is getting better and doing better even with the rush to catch up.
And yet tof keeps dying over amd over again refusing to go to heaven... They said...
How many time you gonna apply this dialogue until your end ?
I agree. It's definitely improving as a game, but less people are playing it than ever before, sadly it won't make a difference.
@@Stixxy It is sad to see people go but maybe they will do some more advertising at some point. Who knows. Until then ill wait for later patches to say this is the patch to try ToF again. Ill hope that day comes haha. The closed beta servers are a good thing too.
@@michaelmarlee2051 Because systems are bad. Game advertises as MMO but you can't meet anyone. A lot of channels on dead servers. Still no server transfers. Daily chores that take too long and every reward limited. These are the reasons game is dying. The game is doing better with the graphics and scenery as it updated but that's all.
Lets be honest, most of us who tried ToF on launch probably either curios or waiting for something else(for me i was waiting for Genshin 3.0 update, Sumeru) and then dropped it after a few days or so
Just tired update tof 2.0 2.1 2.2
Well it had much more potential since ppl wanted a mmorpg in genshin style but its not exactly what we got we can still dream and wait for anime style mmorpg that is actually a really good game not only good graphics content and gameplay is more important than just visuals cant rescue the game
This video is completely out of touch with the current Tower of Fantasy. There are valid criticisms, this ain't it. The most recent limited banner pushed the game into the top 10 in sales. The next banner drops in a couple days. At least wait for sales results before declaring a decline. Any intelligent person knows these games make money off limited banners. Reporting sales between banners is dumb.
Ah, yes the weekly ToF is dead video from Stix. Good to know ToF is still feeding you well.
Thank you! If they'd stop doing stupid shit, there'd be nothing to cover though. So I'm glad they haven't improved as a studio haha.
So is 200k players a dead game on mmo?
Dude have to pay Electricity bill so gotta make a Doompost video kekl.
@@tails69420 What 200k? Just look at Twitch viewers or ToF yt videos views.
@@alreawon1212ou do realize bots and ads account for several of their views. That’s why their update videos always have like 600k views but 12k likes cause it’s a majority of bots and reviews cause of ads. A video that has over 500k views wouldn’t have only around 12k likes.
I think tof is improving content wise, the quality is drastically better, but the bugs are also too many. The BIGGEST issues the lack of new players and the large amount of servers. New players have terrible experience and end up quitting, which means veteran players quitting are not being replaced. Also the fanart (nsfw too) a gacha without art can't survive.
yes no run 34 no gain
Depending on how good the R34 of a game is really does tell you how active it is. Currently there is hardly any FanArt for ToF.
Genshin has seemingly endless art pumping out for it everyday and most of this is due to the fact that it is lucrative for artists to make Genshin art as it gets them more attention due to its popularity.
To me and my friend group, the thing that killed ToF was the shitass story. The most memorable part of the story because of how much it was shat on was the sick kid in the second section.
"Oh no my son has fantasy cancer! What do I do? Oh I have an idea!"
*gives cancer patient mechanical arms and a jetpack*
Actually on release the things were pretty messed up. Now Vera and Domain 9 released, the game only improved since the BETA. Because well, IT WAS A BETA. The game just suffered from being compared to Genshin Impact, which honestly has nothing to do with ToF.
As a genshin player i had good expectations to this but when i tried it in a few days i immediaty got bored and uninstalled.
I played when it first came out, I was really excited waiting for it for more than half a year. I was playing it for a few weeks, but then idk it just kind of fell off for me. So I was a bit sad but it was fun to play for a bit. I wasn’t really compelled by the story or the characters, it was just idk. I felt kinda unmotivated to play after that point. Oh I also remember that time the banner for Nemesis was taken down early and the whole player base freaked out, the lag on my phone when playing co op bosses was very very laggy as well (might be my problem but Genshin never lags that bad). To add to it, the Nemesis banner situation when they returned our stuff you could still use the stuff that was converted, plus more, not complaining about that, but that’s still a major mistake that happened. Idk but also at launch you had to wait so long to get into a server, makes sense with how many people were trying to get in but it kinda took forever, but I was still very excited.
Why are people mad that hes calling your favorite game dead? Lmao its a fact that its dying
Because it's starting to lose its meaning. Every game that launches has a big turn out. Not every game will be for everyone. When a population dwindles for most game it has a niche audience. I started playing late September. Now I'm 8.1 suppressor. Majority want instant gratification instead of working towards a realistic goal.
he already made a TOF is dead video like three times already. Now this is just plain hating and baiting.
Aside from mismanagement and screwed past, new contents coming alone with updates are pretty solid and the game is walking in the right direction.
Sad to see that hard working developers are receiving a massive undeserving amount of negativity.
The negativity is warranted. Let’s see them go a few months without doing something critically wrong before we say this is undeserved. They can definitely turn things around - but that’s going to go against their nature.
Yeah Tof lives rent free in people heads, nice to know people care for Tof so much. Can’t wait for future content
@@Stixxy Criticism is warranted, but the negativity (this kind of mob mentality band wagoning you've invoked time and time again) is not.

Can't tell people on crack what to do.
Their*
listening to genshin fan's biased pov about tof doesnt feel valid. like i play both rn and tof has been improving for the better while genshin falling off
The two major problems that needs to be solved if Tower of Fantasy is to survive.
1: Fix their greedy and stingy monotization/rewards for global. Global is on an accelerated update + new characters which means that global should logicaly get more f2p and paid rewards then CN NOT LESS.
2: Actually advertise the game in a way that does not make their pr team want to jump off a cliff.
The selfowns they made at launch are so many and the worst are.
1: Hackers.
2: Insane gating. I get that China has some strange bs around that but at least my country does not.
3: Stingy with f2p rewards on global, and I do mean STINGY. Still ongoing.
4: Greedy monotization on global, also capital f-ing GREEDY. Also still ongoing because reason.
5: Bugs.
If they can fix the two major problems, then continue adding content and fixing things, then they can in time regain what they lost because of their own misstakes and in time even grow. Failing to do so will kill the game.
Totally agree on the hackers. ESP since it’s Global and I play on the ASEAN server, LOTSSSS of hacking going on. I’m a p2w player and yet all the hackers still can get an a6 tian lang and I’m still at a 1 haha 😂 I ain’t spending all my $$$ on this game if hackers can easily a6 all the chars and beat you in pvp
@@Lumeniaur It is insane that they have not fix that yet, it should be rather easy to track such things. Should go of some notification for them when someone who has not spent money suddenly have every single character at a6.
Tbh its already dying in CN they want to keep the global alive but decided to let tencent published it, which is a bad move just look at Nikke it's so successful but TenCent is doing everything it can to milk players so a lot of people are quitting. bugs after bugs, the monetization, the ridiculous cp and rewards lol
The moment they claimed that it will be a genshin killer its already a boring game for me, I miss those times when developers create a game to be "enjoyed" by players showing their creativity and love for their game and playerbase, rather than claiming to "kill" another game with just copy pasting another game and trying to make it better than original
If you don't enjoy the game don't playing the game shit
I think the game is doing alright now. Future updates look sick. I'm not really interested in playing though. Only mmo I'm looking forward to still is Blue Protocol, but that one is also fucked by AGS being the publisher so I don't really care that much at this point.
Bandai Namco stated on the livestream that Amazon Games can’t do changes to the game unless Bandai Namco accepts those changes, also they want all versions from different publishers to have the same exact things
@@symphonixblades That sounds promising, but I'll keep being careful about my expectations.
Bandai Namco are pretty predatory with micro transactions themselves so not much hope at all
@@spaceli0n Yeah I'm more concerned about censorship than monetization.
the thing is... TOF is a GI copy... while GI WAS a Zelda copy, but quickly became its own thing in few updates.
They had huge potential and they seem to be doing better though sadly a lot of players had left the game because of the negativity and lack of improvement. I too have left the game but not because of negative influence, but because it doesn't feel as engaging as other games that I'm playing. Issues that I had with the game are;
1. Map design.
Map design is a huge part of an open world game. ToF and some other open world game has issue where they just place things just to fill the space. Good map design would put enemies and things where it makes sense, place secrets in places hidden but easily spotted. I have issue with the map because some things are too hard to get and easy to miss if you don't look hard enough. Not only that, some chest/round thing that I can't remember the name for some reason, are time gated. It's annoying to have to fight and reach only to see that it's not even ready to be claimed. It's also doesn't feel as engaging. If you played any Soulsborne game you'd know what a good map designing would look like, this just ain't it.
2. The mechanics.
It's obvious, the mechanic feels unpolished and wonky. The stamina consumption is also weird in my opinion. The grab mechanic is also quite annoying, I forgot how many times that thing failed mid grappling.
3. The combat.
The ridiculous, ridiculous auto aim. That thing is the most annoying thing over every aspect of the game. I don't know why the range is so small that it failed to auto aim at enemies for the majority of the time. I wasted so many of my ultimate because for some reason, the auto aim was gone. Poof, nonexistent. It pissed me off a lot.
4. Animation.
The animation looks cheap and doesn't feel engaging. You'd want your character to move fluidly and smoothly because that's what you see all the time when playing. But the game's animation move rather timidly and robotic. It makes it seem like the character and the environment doesn't belong in one space, doesn't look and feel organic.
5. Story.
The majority of the game's story doesn't feel enganging, I immediately forget about what's going on in the game because for some reason I had a hard time getting into the story and sympathize with the characters. It has no clarity of what's the whole point of the story and quests is most of the time.
There are so many things they can improve but doesn't seem to do for the past two-three months. It's a shame, I enjoyed the game for the first month after it was released but there are just so many things that tick me off that turn me down.
Tbh I agree 100% with ya
First the map it is just empty af no purpose from it nothing you can get after completing it. 2nd the grayspace/twilight zone are done so I have it 100% is that all nothing else? Why do we have them still? Extra size..?
The mechanic is not that bad compared to other things maybe it is unpolished like most of the things in tof... but for the stamina it is good cuz it is separated which is a bit better for me without wasting more and more stamina for dodging and doing helicopter for example with samir, and for the grabbing arm I think the first one before maybe v1.5 was better you can aim in the midair and fix your aim but now you have only 1try and you can fail easy if you were fast, and ofc you have the midair problem I believe cuz of the lag in the channel which we have since the start of the game.
For the combat it is not really that terrible I find it the best part of the game so far I would say "It's not smooth enough" thats all and if I was to fast most of the time I cancel my Ult by accident while trying to switch sadly..
NOW for the animation it is one of the worst shit I've seen in a game it is just terrible I can't describe it at all.. (I've seen better in indie games even was done 1 or 2 ppl).. same goes for the sound of the weapons but better you can say.
And smth I hate also is the voice acting like okay... lin a3 have only like 2 or 3 voice lines in combat and the idle animation is just 🥲🥲🥲 and if you pay attention to your own character animation after using weapons like my char always try to take off her mask which she doesn't have when I use Lin weapon😅 And even tho you cannot get the lines at a0 it should be a3 always (but all this is not a big deal)
Lastly we have the main story it have no depth and it is not engaging, not fun at all everything was moving since the start at light speed you dont really understand enough and no feelings you can get it was always very shallow.. And the characters story is just a skip button no more
Good things about tof is you can chat with random ppl and waste 2 or 3hour everyday if you want to waste some time and ofc you are committed as f2p to do every single thing everyday and it is time consuming (And I'm the one who was thinking that genshin consum a lot of time..) after that we have the crew you can do things tgh and you have end content like harrah 2h to do... with the worst lag in history even If you have the best internet with the best rtx graphic card can't do anything with your 20/30fps or no weapons or relics you can use... another good thing they are fixing the grappling bug tmr as well so if we had again like the 2nd abyss map who doesn't have lin (a6) will feel pain...
There is more but I think this can give anyone a fraction of what we have 🙂
@@The_Eye_of_the_abyss it's a shame, truly. I like the whole premise and idea that they put into the game, sadly it is not executed well by the developers. I've been loving post apocalyptic futuristic cyberpunk type of game, sadly this one is not the best out there. I'm not trying to bring out hate for comparing games, but even a game that has smaller budget like PGR is a lot better than this.
Thats exactly true. Especially there are many content that is coop locked while there arent many people on the area
The game has a very confusing foundation, it's trying to be a alternative to Genshin but the single player open world experience is terrible, it's trying to be a MMORPG but I rarely encountered any players every play session while exploring except for world bosses and other certain activities.
@@LeanneKrv Trust me it is not a shame, when they are going insane.
-Lin a6 flying trick got fixed
-Ruby coming in a couple of days
-2.3 update will introduce alyss frigg rerun, Umi, fenrir and maybe saki. So 3 new banners 1 or 2 reruns
-2.4 update will introduce Icarus, altered queen, lan, tian-lyra reruns 3 new banners and 2 reruns.
If this is correct I can literally drop the game without any regrets bc it is beyond being insane for whales or dolphins... What about f2p players? They are saying fck off yall, If you used to have 40% whale dmg you will have now 20% now or you just have to pay for it....
Getting content is nice but paying the price bc we should line up with the Cn without giving us time and shoving 5 or 6 banners at once with only 5k or 6k dc in total every update is unfair for both whales and f2p ppl.
Tof was supposed to be a genshin killer but it was to busy killing it's own game lol 😆

What differentiates from ToF is Genshin have active and supporting their community. I saw they always have some competition from fan art, cosplay, giving out many merchandise as the prizes. Not to mention the festivities they did in some countries, a lot of collaboration including with KFC or Gaming chair, Huawei special phone edition, etc. Genshin or Hoyoverse spend alot to stay active with their fanbase/community.
Compare to ToF pr, what they have done? I remember ToF had collaboration with some streamers during their initial release, but after that? For those who haven't realized yet, imo, to me they just milking the global players after getting ditched from the CN ver players.

Due to i currently playing 3 Gacha (more before this) and having work i have to much thing to do so i don`t have enough time to play the game and i got Genshin on top of that so exploring 2 world that consistently update to be bigger would be a massive hassle to play and i can`t drop any of the Gacha i playing since i invented too much too so i can`t just abandon it.

That there would show how generous they really are.
The game was too "empty" for a "MMO" title. And the lore is kinda bland and skipabble so yeah the game gets you bored easily
I was honestly hoping this game would get better and have been lurking some dedicated ToF streamers to see when a new character or region would finally draw me in but so far it hasn't. Half the advertisement comes from streamers and based on Twitch, there's not a lot of people streaming it these days. When I drop in they're always complaining about the hacks, nerfs, and bugs in game. And to cope with it, their communities continue to compare and slander Genshin or "G game". It just doesn't sound fun to get into.
Actually a game is a lot more fun when you don't get involved with the community or just media surrounding your favorite game
You'll most likely come across the bad side of every popular game

Also dropping this video before 2.2 update, do you have a grudge with this game?
Game had a rough start, but i believe its getting better, especially catching up to CN content. New water biome, new 3.0 cloud biome, new characters, more exploration, more challenges. I believe the game will still live on with a small community. Too many games out there and high expectations. Blue protocol coming so theres big competition there. Tower is slowly ironing out all the bugs. Regardless, We shall see what the future holds for us. As of now, i enjoy the game. I love all the new updates/ content they drop every 2-3 weeks
just a bunch of copium here.
oh come on.. did they even play their game? how many months is it and still the bugs are still there. Many players say that 2.0 will be great but still nothing but a dlc and saying 3.0 will be greater is like forcing its player to suck the developers cock for the 3rd time hoping something great will come out of it.
luckily I got off the boat almost after the first week, and now I'm still waiting patiently for the moment when wuthering waves is released, I really appreciate how transparent kuro games is being regarding development, they show the bugs and failures that the UE gives to the parkour and combat system or how they recently embraced the alpha meme being "daughter" of vergil in PGR (BTW the new alpha is MOTIVATED)

I had problems with its confusing UI where I had difficulty navigating the dailies and battle pass. That was a big turn off for me. Not only that, the combat controls were clunky. I also felt overwhelmed with so much to do that I had hard time catching up and not being able to understand the game mechanics well.
Even though I already spent a little bit money on the game, I have never bothered to open it again 3 weeks later after trying it out. I wish the game had been more polished on release.
Big turn off cuz ui was hella complicated.
Same. But also because I am on the lower end when it comes to PC gaming, and I can run other "demanding" games fine on low to medium settings (Genshin, Subautica, etc.) However, ToF was clunky and laggy, which was a big indicator that the devs haven't optimized it completely, and that turned me off from playing.

While story is a good thing in mmo, most mmo players don’t really care about story and would just skip anything to get back into action
Yup, that's what I said! Time-gated story was a bad idea!
What feels weird is traveling to and walking up to Amber to talk to her... while playing as Amber, in Genshin. That game has problems.
@@jasongrundy1717 Can you really call that a problem tho? Its understandable cause it's a gacha game and you own that character specifically. And you turn into the traveler if you talk to them anyway.
@@Stixxy It's still better idea than Genshin, where you rush through content and don't have anything to do day after update.

It was the "deleting your entire account" hack that was the final straw. Sad, I hoped maybe when 2.0 came I'd jump back in but...oh well =[
Nope. Every month it continues to decrease in popularity.
It's almost on 2.2, they're rushing to reach CN
Promote what you love instead of promote what you hate.
Played the game on release, but dropped it a a few months later.
For me it was because of 2 reasons:
- First - PvP modes. PvP combat in this game is atrocious and one of the worst i've ever experienced, compared to games like Kurtzpel and many others. And they are forcing more PvP modes into the game with Solo Battle Royale, Team Battle Royale, Guild vs Guild PVP battles with PvE mix and maybe i forgot something else. Partly because gadgets are beyond cringe when you can use them in PvP.
- The second reason was back then when they didn't punish cheaters. And even to this moment i knew at least two people on discord who managed to evade the ban, but not like i care, since i don't play the game anymore. Why would i play the game, when someone could just cheat and get whatever they wanted, that was my mindset back then and i wasted, maybe, like 50$, so it didn't hit me hard when i decided to quit.
Lol, i have moved to ToF after reaching AR60 in genshin. And I'm not gonna lie, I'm pleasantly surprised with how good it is.
I'm here for the long run now.😁
I hate that people think you can't just play both. I love both genshin and tof , but I end up playing tof more just cause of the type of game it is. Genshin I play for story and finish exploration whereas tof has more grind and multiplayer for me. They're both great! 🥰😇
@@skylerfreeman1173 yea they both good on their own ways
I play tof more cause it is more interactive with players,u can play around kill boss with so many players, chat
While genshin you wait for the update for high quality story, visual, music, new character too
But at some point its a little tiring, but i couldnt let go one of them as i alr grind it,especially genshin though
I'd say in some ways it was a victim of it's success, the hype of 'the next genshin' got a lot of players and CC's to play who were never going to stick around, they just didn't want to miss the hypetrain, a lot of those same CC's made fun of Genshin's hype then it blew up so there was a crowd there just to be there, however the dev's couldn't tell the hipsters from the mobile gamers and took their numbers to mean they could do no wrong, and that didn't turn out so well.
Its just my opinion, but i actually prefer tower of fantasy over genshin. The story itself was interesting, character creation is cool, soundtrack is fire, Shirli is best friend, and mia is way better than paimon. one cooks you food while the other probably eats your food. Regardless, i hope the problems gets addressed. I really like the story they got going.
Laggy as hell, laggy cutscenes, boring ass story, bad voice acting, soundtrack was ok, shirli boring as fuck, next caller
Story is too short lol But still worth at least but I Don't like most of the player were overproud with TOF and roasting genshin impact as "Look at this dude TOF genshin killer hahaha" But he didn't realize The dev of TOF were caught plagiarism from hoyo games🤣
Uhh, that's how 90% of MMOs work dude. You have a mass influx of players the first week, 80% of them leave after a month...and the population slowly declines from there, with maybe occasional bumps due to promotions and returning players. There's very few MMOs that start off slow and grow larger, and there's very few with the staying power to maintain a large player base for extended periods of time. But that's ok. You only really need like 100k people logging in to a game daily to keep it going strong.
The funny thing is, NIKKE is also already in decline. The price for their in-game stuff is absurdly insane.
Yup. Level Infinite aren't doing too great with their games.

Right now my biggest annoyance with the game is how quickly they are rushing units in order to "catch up with CN". You have this accelerated timeline with not enough rewards to compensate for it. Really annoyed I have to skip Lyra. At it's core though it still is a fun game to play. I have an A3 Saki with the wedding skin and could go on and on about her. Just for me how they are doing their timelines have removed a lot of wind in my sails. Was getting into it and spent a good amount of money into the game getting myself started. Now my excitement has started dwindling. Still am excited for Alyss as a frost main though I only have 53 pulls saved currently. At this point I have spent enough money into the game to where I am not really willing to stop playing it. Not playing it as much since I recently got my ps5. However, I will be sticking with it until Alyss is released. Then there is a chance I may leave the game myself if my outlook just doesn't improve. It does have potential still but just all these rushed banners is like eh. It might be beneficial to streamers and whales but for me eh. I hope to see things improve but we will see.

@@purona2500 In ten years this game might not still be running. A lot can happen in the span of 10 years. You also can have pop up games that can take over in that time. It's likely fair to say I won't care because likely I will be too put off of the game and spending my money on a different game.
Game looks fine to me. Has anyone done a study on what percentage of gamers have ADD? Seems like no one can play a game longer than 2 weeks without being bored and moving on to the next popular thing.
Honeslty rather have a really good day story then a week worth of clunky story.

Poor ToF, it had and still does in some cases potential to be a great game. It combines mmo grind elements from classic anime mmorpg like Eden eternal/aura kingdom with more modern open world gameplay like botw and ofc genshin. It had raids, guilds, pvp and ofc community. The combat system tho clunky is fast and reactive. Feels like someone's first attempt at making a platinum games style combat but it's fun nonetheless.
What it horribly lacks is a thorough polish. If I were to describe ToF it is a collection of great ideas and awesome mechanics.... Held together with duct tape.
It really is sad, altho I'm in a sinking ship but I'll continue to enjoy this game casually. Haven't sinked in much money in this game and from the looks of it I'm now f2p but I'll be there on ToF's last day.

Y'know ... I'm sorry, but full stop. I am sick and tired of having your awful videos come up every time I search for info about a game I play. You do the same thing with EVERY MMO. Bullshit clickbait titles, tits and ass thumbnail, needless incitement and enrilement to get people to hate games that they may have never even tried.
FYI, to the people reading this who may be interested in the game: Every problem he listed in this video has long been fixed. There are still hackers on the two largest servers, Solaris and Nightfall, but I've been playing on a mid-pop server since launch and have never seen a single one. Not on the leaderboards or in person. The worst things I can say about the game? World bosses lag hard with 30+ people, the story's pretty bad until 2.0, and shop pricing outside of the monthly passes is way overpriced for global. Other than that, it's an extremely fun Genshin alternative that caters to people who enjoy multiplayer over singleplayer, but with a lot less polish.
Try it, look for a good guild with people who will help you get geared and catch up, and you'll have fun. You honestly don't even need to spend, most limited banner characters are great at A1.
ToF is ranked #272 on the global revenue chart on appmagic (all regions) for December. For a game of this scale and its initial production cost of over $718 million dollar USD (5,000,000,000 RMB), They haven't even recover 10% of it yet.
Makes you wonder, how long can they keep this game running? Are they even breaking even with the maintenance and employment cost at this point? Who am I kidding? The game is published by Tencent, and Tencent is the Chinese Communist Party's proxy trojan horse into the western world, they have bottomless amount of cash lol. Just go watch "How One Company Destroyed An Entire Country" video.
ToF fans justifying these stupid decisions by hotta has to be one of the funniest shit around
Fr and they keep defending it in the comments like they are getting paid 💀
I played for hours every day up to Lin, saved my red nucleus and got her to A4. Then never logged in since! For me I like to collect all the different units. This game punishes this approach instead leading you select one unit and to at least A3 them before they are even remotely usable thus not collecting 80% of the banners. This is just for me unsatisfying. Combined with truly awful drop rates, outfits that cost £100, unfriendly community, cynical pay to win progression, hacking, poor quality, hideous gacha, and empty servers. They took a game that had more potential than any game release this year and flushed it down the toilet. If you want the exact opposite of all of this from a developer that has poured love and care into their game which is a masterpiece, a strong storyline and adorable loveable characters, who respect their players and strive to improve the experience week on week, pick up Path to Nowhere......
"at least A3 them before they are even remotely usable" what are you talking about? there are so many units you can just A1 and done: saki, umi, Fenrir, alyss, claudia and soon fiona... maybe more but those are the only ones i payed attention to.

To all the hopefuls: the story past 2.0 really has a tough time holding itself together. Yes, minor world building is done, but it's not cohesive to the prior region. The grind becomes near impossible to do in a timely manner if you're mid leveled. Every farm takes an exorbitant amount of stamina, meaning you'll hit bottleneck after bottleneck just to raise your raw stats. Equipment has to be rerolled for sub stats, but Joint Ops are not guaranteed drops for mid level 60s (about the point that you beat the Aesperia story), meaning that you'll flounder around a lot in Vera. Weapons, besides some of them needing dupes to be viable, also need Matrices which again have to be grinded for with no guaranteed drops.
Even Nikke is more straightforward and has lower price points. And unlike Warframe, which can be just as confusing, if you're stuck in the midgame, you can't join a common loot cave with others since they are beyond your power and level bracket. They have their own equipment to farm as it is.
And me who play and wait for 3.0 no matter what
