A year ago i had nearly book the top spec Tata Harrier in the Red shade, but luckily as fate had it for me, i found a very good Toyota Fortuner 4wd type 2 owned by one of my friends! Bought it from him and now i live tension free with unmatched reliability and good service!!! 👍

Agreed.... I hv faced a similar situation. The fuel pump started leaking without any impact or accident and the clutch assembly had to be changed. But the workshop team simply said that max 10,000 kms it needs to be changed. Definitely poor service n substandard parts were used..... Overall not recommended... Till Tata takes it up seriously to resolve the problems..... Otherwise Very unreliable vehicle. Can give hand anytime

We had owned TATA ARIA, its first ever premium SUV. First 1-2 years were good, car is super comfortable but later on problems started, service centres did their job but it was a temporary solution. There were times when car didn't start and towing was the only option. 2 years my dad literally suffered, he was scared to take this car out because he has to go usually out of station. Now after 9 years I thought that TATA has improved but again, it seems that things are still the SAME! Had literally the same issues which are discussed in this video, felt like I was thrown in a flash back! Yes the car was great in terms of comfort, but if it will not start, then its of no use! Purchased Toyota Innova 2016 model and after 6 years, it's still working just fine.

I was thinking about buying tata nexon EV these days but after hearing about tata's service experience and dealership experience from various people now I'm thinking it's not a good decision to go with tata
Kudos to you I also Ford Figo Diesel 2014 sold recently due to its age and rule of diesel cars in Delhi NCR and now going VW Polo because that is the only car left as per my test.
Thankyou @arunpawar for raising such issues and actually taking a stand for owners like these who are very humble and against those service stations which are taking advantage of such people. Hope the issue resolves soon. And Tata has really lost its reputation for authenticity and reliability.
I've been using tata harrier for over a year now. Got friend using for about 2 years. Touchwood no issues yet and I'm really happy with the experience. But such videos do induce a kind of tension. Turns out a lot of faulty cars are somehow leaving the production line and ending up with customers. Because if a harrier is having issues it keeps on having issues. Others run trouble free. To add to the problem, the service centre people have no clue on how to fix an issue. You will have to take it to the main service centre of your state to find a person to find the issue for you. Proper Quality checks and training service centre manpower has to be done ASAP.
My relative bought altroz xz ..but within 1 month it has shown so many problems....service centre tried everything but stil problem persist, the problem is regarding turning rod of the car...every few km's car alignment gets disturbed and huge sound everytime while passing through even small potholes in speed of 20

Lesson for all 1. Don't accept delivery unless you are satisfied with pre delivery checklist. Make payment only after inspection. 2. Mal function indicator light has list of error codes. Check the manual.

I'm a proud owner of tata altroz Xz+ diesel manual And my friend is a proud owner of harrier dark xz diesel manual We never got any problems in any of aur tata, I also owned old tata cars, like indica vista , aria and safari storme... Thanks to berkely tata motors chandigarh for their immersive experience of every car delivery or service, always supported our tata cars, as I can say best tata service center in chandigarh... So sad to hear this man's story, really never thought that some dealers can fool people to this extent.. The company will give the normal piece as other but dealers for their profit, exchange parts like injectors, brakes, tyres (especially), engine parts,battery and electronic parts etc... There should be laws against the dealers from the company on the authenticity of the product or vehicle...
Has been 10 years of my lifetime experience with automobiles.. bought 2 bikes during college and 3 cars in all my bachelors life. So far i’ve only bought second hand automobiles and i’m very proud that never faced any of these issues… my friends and relatives were never in favour of me buying second hand and everyone in my life always discouraged me about buying second hand. Yes bro exactly, there are so many misconceptions about the used Market in India, like if you know what to look far in a used car that can go wrong then you'll almost never make a bad choice but most people don't wanna do that work, these kind of incidents are proof that even buying first hand vehicals doesn't garuntee a fully functioning automobiles.
Bying new cars is a self proud of self but some people think that as its new and as it ,should be no issue as normal,,,,and the problem is that your car get depreciated quickly,,and on other hand people that buy second hand cars can be profitable and its all about luck also..
There was a time when I loved this car, I was actually planning to go with Tata harrier for our next vehicle, then one of our relatives bought this car and had some minor quality issues here and there, he also faced poor service and support from Tata and now seeing all these videos and articles of good customers paying the price of poor support and management, I've totally changed my mind about this brand. For this price I would rather go with Mahindra Xuv700 or Jeep Compass, those are much better in terms of quality and after sales support.

I think Tata folks helped him more than any other vendor do. They fixed most of the problems.. coming back to tyre, it may burst due to many congratulations.. And no vendor take responsibility for tyres, it's always tyre manufacturers to fix that

Moral of the story. Pre delivery inspection is a must. Any fault, refuse to take delivery of the car. Never sign on dotted lines any where prior to PDI.
I am the tata car user for last 10 years. I also had very bad experience with Tata dealer service. Even though, Tata is producing good cars nowadays, They need to improve a lot in the dealer service experience. Hyundai and Toyota is king in customer satisfaction.
I remember our relatives bought Indica years ago and it had same issues. Since then we bought Maruti Suzuki and never had any issues. This is our 5th Maruti and all their cars are great.

Agreed.... I hv faced a similar situation. The fuel pump started leaking without any impact or accident and the clutch assembly had to be changed. But the workshop team simply said that max 10,000 kms it needs to be changed. Definitely poor service n substandard parts were used..... Overall not recommended... Till Tata takes it up seriously to resolve the problems..... Otherwise Very unreliable vehicle. Can give hand anytime

We had owned TATA ARIA, its first ever premium SUV. First 1-2 years were good, car is super comfortable but later on problems started, service centres did their job but it was a temporary solution. There were times when car didn't start and towing was the only option. 2 years my dad literally suffered, he was scared to take this car out because he has to go usually out of station. Now after 9 years I thought that TATA has improved but again, it seems that things are still the SAME!
Had literally the same issues which are discussed in this video, felt like I was thrown in a flash back!
Yes the car was great in terms of comfort, but if it will not start, then its of no use!
Purchased Toyota Innova 2016 model and after 6 years, it's still working just fine.

I've been using tata harrier for over a year now. Got friend using for about 2 years. Touchwood no issues yet and I'm really happy with the experience. But such videos do induce a kind of tension.
Turns out a lot of faulty cars are somehow leaving the production line and ending up with customers. Because if a harrier is having issues it keeps on having issues. Others run trouble free.
To add to the problem, the service centre people have no clue on how to fix an issue. You will have to take it to the main service centre of your state to find a person to find the issue for you.
Proper Quality checks and training service centre manpower has to be done ASAP.

My relative bought altroz xz ..but within 1 month it has shown so many problems....service centre tried everything but stil problem persist, the problem is regarding turning rod of the car...every few km's car alignment gets disturbed and huge sound everytime while passing through even small potholes in speed of 20

1. Don't accept delivery unless you are satisfied with pre delivery checklist. Make payment only after inspection.
2. Mal function indicator light has list of error codes. Check the manual.

The company will give the normal piece as other but dealers for their profit, exchange parts like injectors, brakes, tyres (especially), engine parts,battery and electronic parts etc... There should be laws against the dealers from the company on the authenticity of the product or vehicle...

There was a time when I loved this car, I was actually planning to go with Tata harrier for our next vehicle, then one of our relatives bought this car and had some minor quality issues here and there, he also faced poor service and support from Tata and now seeing all these videos and articles of good customers paying the price of poor support and management, I've totally changed my mind about this brand. For this price I would rather go with Mahindra Xuv700 or Jeep Compass, those are much better in terms of quality and after sales support.
