The reason why i like this songs because it sound like the 90s. 90s songs were the best for me.
I like their style because it reminds me of alot of the British incasion bands of the late 60's and early 70's like The Kinks,The Moody Blues and Yes. They have that swag that all ages can relate

I love this song. I grew up in the 1980s, so this song is not intended for me or my generation, but for some reason the song has such a nice 80s vibe to it.

***** If you look at their influences, they were 80's post punk/new wave and mostly British. The 80's US sound was more like Cindy Lauper, Debbie Gibson, & Michael Jackson. On the sort of "indie" front were bands like Level 42, A Flock of Seagulls, Romantics, Translator, and the like.
Their whole cd is like a 80's retrospect. IMHO it's great stripped down music.

This album has been out for a year and a noth abd I just heard this song on the radio like 2 weeks ago. It blew my mind how catchy the melody is and Sydney's voice is just so laid back and refreshing. The message in this tune can be related by alot of people including myself

I love this band so much.
I love that even though when they are on tour they use a designated keyboardist, in this version she plays the keyboard riff herself. That is a true musician. I think when my cover band does this tune I'm going to ask my vocalist to play it this way. It would save us having to pay a keyboard player his fee. More money for the rest of us. :D

You definitely hit it right on the button. That's exactly why I enjoy this tune SO much. I, myself, was born in 79, so I think of Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Cindy Lauper as well when I listen to this track. It just has a real carefree vibe to it. It also has the potential to be one of those songs that twenty years from now, will still be hot. Who Can't identify with these words. At any and all ages, who didn't want to be a part of the so-called "in" crowd, right? The COOL part, though, is at the end of the day, you DO come to the conclusion that the coolest thing ever is just being yourself. You always want people to respect you for who you really are, not like you for who they see you're trying to be :-). Stay cool, kids! (No matter your age)

I won't say she's a bad singer. I just wish their sound engeneer could turn up the volume of her vocals in her monitors next time. It's damn hard to sing low vocal lines live because the lower you sing the quiter is your voice; you automatically try to sing louder and it ALWAYS sounds unnaturally. So you gotta hear your voice in the monitors really loud so you don't try to shout down all the backline (especially drums).
It's a common problem, actually, I've seen this a million of times and it's the same with me on stage.
+Bohdan Kurch Thanks for the info as I know it is harder LIVE than in studio and can sound completely different! I love the band! The regular videos are really good! This was my 4th Live version video of them and it was actually the best so far! The Warped version from 2014 was the worst and the VHS Live version was 2nd worst! Most likely the sound engineers fault on those 2 cases especially! She also has quiet voice which does not help either! Will always love Sydney!!!! Her voice and the rest of the band sounds better elsewhere as drums guitar etc were off in that WARPED LIVE version of them! Someone that knows tech or in a band like you would know more than the average or even big fan would!
