I was at a dealership the other day which had one of the Nightsters in stock. They had just put it on the floor. I was the first person in the door that day. I looked it over, but I’m not in the market right now. The next person who walked in bought it. Wow! 2 people saw it before it sold. That’s a good sign.

I have two Harley’s and love them both. As much as Harley has gotten right lately this thing looks and sounds like a Honda at a premium Harley price. I’d be surprised if it’s around in a couple years. Rather have an 883.

I fully agree. The plastic on the touch points of the motorcycle was Harley being cheap. Having said that, I also agree that stock air cooled M8 bikes will have their hands full if they try to race against one of these Revolution Max bikes. The handling of this bike is phenomenal compared to even the Lowrider S. I love my 2023 Nightster Special and can’t wait to see these engines on touring models because the ride is so much smoother than the M8 equipped bikes. Double overhead cams, VVT, and liquid cooling just naturally lends itself to a much smoother ride than the old, and beloved, push rod engines.
With regard to the price all Harley’s are expensive; however, I find it interesting that the motor company put their highest tech engine with all that smooth power delivery on their least expensive bike. It’s in the top three in the Harley lineup for power to weight ratio.

Bought one yesterday. How can all these reviewers miss the biggest flaw on the bike. The heat! It’s crazy hot. I guess that’s the difference between a ten minute test ride and the ownership experience. A beginner cannot ride this bike period. I challenge anyone to ride this bike in a parking lot for an hour in warm weather. It’s unbearable.

Looks just right but I agree it's priced maybe ~10% higher than it should, especially with all the plastic bits.
Hard to get new vehicles nowadays, so they're taking advantage of the situation, but I think they'll lose more market share this way.
The USD is also creeping ever closer to a 1/1 ratio with the Euro now, so US made bike prices seem quite a bit saucy in Europe.

The 1250 version of the Rev Max engine is a beast. I've owned a KTM 690SMC and loved everything about it. I've also spent some time on the 1090 adventure bike and could see myself owning one of those as well. Hoping to ride the 1290 super duke very soon. I agree KTM makes exciting bikes.

@@throttleblip9854 I loved the 1290 but decided the 890R was something I could live with on the daily. It’s amazing weighing in at 406lb with a full tank. Hopefully HD will create something with a fraction of the excitement the KTM’s bring. I crank it and the torque jerks the bike, growling to life(Full Arrow exhaust, not the turd can it comes with). I believe HD needs an exciting bike in the stable, I’m not seeing this as it.

HD jacked the price up on the Iron 883 after they removed the Iron 1200 from the line up. The 883 is now priced at what the 1200 was. As to the Nightster my problem is the bike is over priced. No inverted forks, no dual front disk brakes. My first impressions when I looked at one was it was a Japanese quality finished and not what I expect from HD. The engine is great and nice to see HD adding it to the line up, but the rest of the bike just does not give the HD quality build feel overall. And add on the dealer mark ups it is way over priced. I would by a Scout Rogue or Rebel 1100 over this any day and save a chunk of money. I could add a number of mods to a scout rogue for what it cost to get a nightster after mark up.

Not too bad looking from the side and afar but closer up starts to look less appealing with all the plastic bits and duo black tone . . . and butt ugly radiator. Won't ever call these new bikes "Sportsters" . . . they just aren't by any measure. Will continue to buy real Sportsters for as long as they can be had in the used market . . . which should be for many years to come. Not at all a fan of HD's recent turn. This bike is going to flop. It's ugly for one; and the market for this 900cc water cooled bike at 18k (dealer quote) out the door is very limited. They made the same mistakes as the street but priced it twice as much. These bikes are also only "sporty" in cruiser world. Any 600cc naked bike would mop the floor with them in acceleration and handling. Where is the tach? The Bronx I would be interested in; much better fit for this type of engine. Sadly i think that will be overpriced also like all HD's these days.
