You can't say that on a Jim Harbaugh video!!
Need a new pair of Jeans so I've just ordered one.
@@jamesknapp64 let’s gooooooooo
I legitimately think Chargers threw like 5 teams off their goals because they picked Joe Alt first
The Titans definitely. They acted like they thought J-Rob was back at GM. Who else?
Probably what happened to Atlanta
Facts, so many o line men went in the first round
@@DominicRogers-gs1fm So Many
yeah who needs 2 left tackles
As a Chargers fan myself, it still feels like a fever dream that we got Jim Harbaugh as our HC. I'm just hoping this will be different from here on out for us. ⚡
Same man! It’s been rough as a bolts fan but hoping we finally turn things around and I think Harbaugh is the guy to do it.
Don’t count on it.
It won’t! Chargers gonna Charger, as always
Yeah and who were our coaches previously? I’ll wait
I'm also a Chargers fan but I'm not super high on us booming out this year. I think it's a couple years out.
I remember the twitter meltdown I saw when the chargers took joe alt over nabers. It was so ridiculous
I don't know about a meltdown, in a way, the Chargers had the FIRST pick in the draft. Everybody knew it would be Williams, Daniels, Maye and Harrison - so the draft really started at #5 - with highly sought after QBs (McCarthy, Penix) on the board. They could have traded back and gotten Fuaga (who playes RT) one of several other top T prospects. Alt's been compared to Eric Fisher - as a Chief fan, that's not good. Fisher stunk his first few years and his entire career in KC was him doing well vs weaker OLBs but getting smoked by good ones.
The Chargers could have traded back - gotten a stud T - and a WR, possibly even Bowers. Sorry, taking Alt at 5 - with Slater at LT - was dumb...not as dumb as Atlanta taking Penix at 8, but a close 2nd
I thanked every Raiders fan I knew for the new coach after the second Vegas game⚡️⚡️
Was it torture or happiness that the game fired Staley but at the cost of 63 points put up on ur team

Hey can we tell Harbaugh to tell Spanos to get the Charger girls back? I went to a game and they didn’t have Charger girls! Not having cheerleaders is unamerican!
Joe alt may have the very best offensive lineman name of all time.
JOE ALT - it just sounds a colliseum pillar, a tree trunk, a 1970s Tackle
Damn, is this what having a competent HC and GM feels like? I'm a little nervous lol!
Ive been through hell as a Chargers fan for 42 years! This is the 1st time ive had real hope since Marty Schottenheimer (#rip) Ive told people as well, to temper expectations THIS season bc there's lots to change, not just the roster but we gotta fumigate the "Staley Stink" outta the building, then next season we have $100 million available cap and FA's are gonna wanna play for Harbaugh, and with Herbert having a real line and a an ACTUAL running game! Alt was a great pick! The Chargers were 24th in pass pro and 30th in run blocking! Our line went to shit after Linsley got the heart ailment ( non emergent) and was shut down in week 6 ....big changes are happening for this organization!
I feel your pain. Fan since 81.
I’m a new fan, 42 years sounds worth it still somehow, big respect ⚡️
I became a fan during the Tomlinson, and then Marty era. Marty has been my favorite coach since, and its not even close. The season hasn't started yet but Harbaugh's energy sure is infectious and I'm rooting for him to be a transcendent leader for our team!!!! Whos got it better than us?!?!?!?!
Do you know about Slater at LT? Yes, Alt was the best LT prospect in the draft - picking 5th was an incredibly valuable trading chip...
This draft was LOADED with tackles - they could trade back - still get a RIGHT tackle AND a (more) talented WR prospect desperately needed since they jettisoned all their WRs and have only Quinton 'hands of stone' Johnston - who right now looks like a bust. They'd better hope McConkey - 9th WR off the board - works out...
I'll bet Minny would have parted with both 1st round picks to get to 5. In that case, we're talking Fashanu or Fuaga at T and Thomas, Worthy (maybe Bowers) at WR, which to me feels safer.
I guess Harbum looked at what Mahomes has done w/ garbage at WR for the past 2 seasons and decided Herbert can do the same... give him a great OL and he'll make what he's got at WR work. Herbert is good, but he ain't Mahomes.

@@CokeZorro Bro, how lost are you.
As a chiefs fan this draft was kind of terrifying for us. Joe Alt is the Jason Kelce type that will continuously get better throughout his career to the point that once he sees it happen, he can stop it. Putting a rookie Joe Alt against two teams in the raiders and chiefs with very dominant DL players will only develop him faster as I don't see him ever getting worse from it.
It's scary but the whole league was going to inevitably get better, and the Chargers and Bengals being situated where they were in the draft was very serendipitous for building their offensive lines, even if that placement was because of QB injury among other issues that cost them playoff appearances.
A better example is Brock Bowers is the Travis Kelce type
@@jbkmjl You mean Travis? And I think he's been comped more to Kittle than to Kelce.

Im pessimistic about this season but at least we dont have to deal with staley anymore
Relax. This is supposed to be a multi year rebuild, and the moves the Chargers have made look better with each passing day. People didn't like the Joe Alt pick until Tackles started flying off the draft board. And the Junior Colson pick CAN'T be overstated. Dude's gonna fit in perfectly with Jesse Minter and Harbaugh bringing their schemes with them. Junior Colson and Derwin James will be the perfect combination, just you wait. And hey, if the 2024 season comes with growing pains, that's another high draft pick for Harbaugh and Hortiz to play with. The Chargers will have ALOT of Cap Space to work with in 2025, even after the extension we'll inevitably give Rashawn Slater.
@@mawile2468 have a 1 year rebuild with prime herbert isn't a good thing... having a multi year rebuild is ever worse... he's only on a 5 year deal and the chargers have already wasted 1 of those years...
@@derekconstantino7759 I might be crazy, but I feel like this is going to be more of a rams style rebuild than a saints one (lol). I know this season won't be for a deep run, but this dead money situation will resolve, and moving forward I can see 2025 being the first genuinely good year for us in a looooong time.
Have you seen the schedule? 10 wins easy. That will be good enough for a wildcard.
@@michaelbell75 I'm sick of the Wildcard tbh. I would love for Harbaugh to bring us a division title. A division title would be even more satisfying considering Andy Reid's in the division, and it's been 15 years
The chargers brought back Brandon Staley because they were waiting for Jim harbaugh to complete his last year with Michigan. There was a quiet report where harbaugh secretly met with the chargers after week 2 which led to his hire after the season.
Remember Jim Harboughs 2011-2013 Niners. Dominant trenches, heavy run game, use of option. Greg Roman was his OCO and the Ravens OCO 2019-2022.... Expect the offense the Ravens just jettisoned lol.
1:00 Its probably fair to mention the Raider's game was much more of a mutiny on the coach, than an actual game. With QB1 out for the season and no hope in sight, the players just ran out of motivation.
8:34 Palmer (#5) is an option everyone sleeps on. He's not MW or KA13, but he has made some big plays and in many Herbo highlight reels. And he was the guy Herbo chose the 50 yard long ball to close out the Raider game in Oct 2023.
I don’t think people understand how HANDICAPPED NFL defenses are coming up this season…all running backs will develop a style like Saquon where they just need to set up defenders in a position where they absolutely have to hip drop tackle them…defenders will be caught thinking…touchdowns will be scored
Damn you’re right.
Dudes act like Joe Burrow is miles ahead of Herbert. Look at the numbers. Joe also has three great wide outs. I was telling my friend Kurt has outplayed Joe every year since draft and started a argument. You know dolphins wish the got him....
The way you beat the Chiefs and Mahomes is the same way Harbaugh has won everywhere - in the trenches. Smash mouth football.
Harbaugh is the best coach we’ve had since Marty shotty let’s see what he can cook.
Jim is one of those coaches that no matter the talent he’ll find a way to win.
The only wrong thing they did is hiring Greg Roman as OC. Harbaugh could have hire other of his buddies such as Tanner Engstrand, the passing game coordinator of the Lions or Pep Hamilton, who was Herbert Qb coach in his rookie year.
It was with Telesco who drafted and only got a quarterback right. He did nothing else. What else has he gotten right? I'll be surprised if Quinton is in our team next year
As a chargers fan I feel like I’m in a constant cycle of excited for the season then disappointed in the season I hope this year is different.

Boom! Great attitude. Harbaugh has already lifted the mood. Seeing guys like Brendan Rice break into tears when drafted by the Chargers (and not because he's sad) is refreshing.
Chargers usually do most thing right its the bogus officiating that stop them more often than not

Dear God, before I wake up from this dream please let the Bolts win a SB
I like the direction but the pass catching room concerns me as a defense there is no viable threat I fear in the passing game and stacking the box feels easy
Happy for Chargers fans. As a Jets fan, I don’t think there are many fanbases who have seen misery like we have, but Chargers fandom I imagine experience a very unique pain; having two back to back elite QBs in Rivers and Herbert and wasting their talent has to be infuriating. I don’t see the Chargers going all the way this year, because of the lack of talent at WR and on defense, but they’re finally on the right track with a legit coach.

I'd bet this comment doesn't age well. Their head coach is great with coaching up QBs.
@@Ryan-wx1bi So? Doesn't the OC call the actual plays? Anyone familiar with Greg Roman? Based on his track record he _hates_ star QBs. (& yes, there are several examples of HCs having problems with their players succeeding).
Between Lamar's two MVP-level seasons Roman reduced him to 16 TDs to 13 INTs. That's less than half & more than double.
If anyone asks, I can link multiple videos showing how. Generally 1) he sent receivers on routes that angled in then out, putting the defender between them & the QB. That way Lamar couldn't tell how much separation they had or if they had any.
Couldn't pass to them.
2) He sent receivers on route where they only looked for the ball after arriving at the exact same spot as each other, literally tiring them by sending them to run for absolutely nothing. 3) My favorite is him sending *All 4 Receivers On* identical routes that all turned inwards at the same time so they started in double coverage & ended in quadruple. No check-downs.
4) He *always sent the man in motion **_away from_* the side he ran to. That way he always sent extra blocking away then tipped off the opposing defenses where he was going. He did this for Three Full Years & either no one on the Ravens noticed & _only_ people on the Ravens didn't notice, or it was part of a deliberate attempt to sabotage Lamar netting the huge contract. Whichever makes you think he's competent I'll let you all choose.

You’re talking about the past. This guy is talking about the 24 Chargers. If you don’t get it yet..
Next year the 2 starting offensive tackles at LSU will both be 1st round picks next year. They will both be true juniors and have been starting at left and right tackle from day one. The left tackle will probably my go in the top 5. Their RT will go sometime later. The left tackles name is Will Campbell. He is fucking great. Freshman All SEC and All American a 2nd and a 1st team All SEC. Campbell is 6’5’’ or 6’6’’ 325 lbs and has 34 inch arms. He is prototype size. He had a lot of power but he is also a technician and can also move and run.
Yes! It’s the chargers turn! ⚡️⚡️
The 24 draft had potential to impact the chargers in 2 to 3 years similar to the lions 21 draft only difference they took the wideout in round 2
Alt and Harrison will both be superstars out the gate, bosa and mack restructuring they contracts can add more depth which they need first before they worry about star power outside of alt and Herbert
I’m a chargers fan and I’m just gonna trust Jim and his process and this is by far the most excited I’ve been for a season plus I think my expectations are realistic. You should split the reg season with the chiefs and make the playoffs.
They have their franchise qb, stud left tackle, star head coach and a great edge rush duo (if healthy lol) they have everything you need to rebuild I think they’ll be a playoff team in 2025 and be contending they are a team that I think had a A+ draft got a future star right tackle 2 stud young receivers, a young star linebacker and more. They are in a prime position to turn their franchise around. Now let’s hope they don’t charger.
Yeah I know that if this does not work out. They could be forced to trade Justin Herbert to Titans.
9:30 crazy how bad those defenses are considering Herbert almost took them to the playoffs in 2021 and did in 2022

All the troubles were defensive, time after time Herbert had them up within the last few minutes of games and the defense blew the game
Defense blew the game or Staley made a terrible call. Almost without fail. Almost lost to the vikings last year because he wanted to go on fourth. By some miracle defense held out.
Despite (or maybe because of) my Ravens allegiance, a part of me want to see the Chargers succeed. In spite of what you may think of the owner (and I will gladly ream him over the coals if you want me to), that should not drag down the rest of the team via proxy, especially since most players and personnel do it for the paycheck, not cause they like the owner or anything.
The Chargers have pieces on both sides of the ball, but I always advise tempering expectations. Yes, I get Jim started his 49ers tenure 13-3, but not only did he have a talented roster to work with there, it also happened over a decade ago. It will take him a while to adjust to the current game, so I say be a little patient.

Do u think QJ could double his production as possible WR1?
QJ came into last season as a really weird pick, almost as bad as Atlanta this season. He was drafted ahead of more 'complete' options like Flowers, which is pretty inexcusable, because he is a freak athlete. The downside is he's 1 sided and struggles to make those reach for the sky grabs (that a guy that tall and explosive should have in his repertoire). Starting behind Williams and Allen was always going to kill his production, especially with Eckler being a key receiver too. Towards the back end of last season I saw everything i need to see to believe that he can get 1000 yards this season. he played both sides and was MUCH improved. If he can work on making leaping grabs he'll be elite IMO, and if it remains a weakness he might be a bust compared to other receivers in the class but he'll still be a dangerous (but less consistent and more limited) player.

Huge chargers fan, and I've said this is what needed to happen since the day we lost to vegas. We have done everything right since that day, sack BS, lose the last 5 games (a couple of them were winnable even for us with a qb2 and we were absolutely right to turn belly up) finished with a worse record by far than we could have in a season where we lost about 5? games to great teams by 1 score, and have recruited the best coach, and drafted impeccably. People laughed when we cut allen, williams and eckler, saying we had no recievers. Well now we have real running backs, our cap situation will be miles better moving forward and we have cut williams who while mercurial, never plays, and Eckler, who is a brilliant receiver and impossible to stop in the red zone, but is one of the worst running backs for yardage in the NFL.

Spanos is a screw up. He is like Jerry Jones except he doesn’t have the deep pockets or the fan support. Charger will be decent but he will screw it up in season 2 or 3.
I would feel a lot better about their chances if Corey Linsely were to miraculously come back, but right now I think they have a lot of holes on their roster at CB, IOL, IDL, LB, TE, and WR. If they can fill some of those holes next off-season before Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack start to regress, I think they have a really good shot
They addressed literally all of those positions this offseason. Legitimately signed someone at all of them, and drafted 3 WRs, the best linebacker in the class, IDL, and two CBs. They will continue to build on this is the point of the video
now this may be the funniest vid you have made, the chargers and your precious vikings are the same team in different conferences, they always have a kick ass roster every year, projected to possibly go all the way every year, and every single year they both shit the bed and fail very hard, they both are laughable, disagreeing doesn't change that, good luck
"kick ass roster" I'm crying 🤣🤣🤣🤡
You must be like 14 because the Chargers kicked ass in the mid 2000s with Schottenheimer and Turner. They won their division 4 straight years starting in 2006 when they went 14-2, and those 2 loses were by a combined 6 points. Turner got them to the AFC Championship game the following year. I'm ok with not being the fantasy team next year I just want to win. I think we need to come to terms with that. WOn't be flashy but will be worth it.
Chiefs only averaged 17ppg last season and won the Super Bowl. Its not always about scoring a lot of points....
@michaelbell75 Wrong! Chiefs scored 371 points over 17 regular season games for a .21.82 average. If you had a QB with 20 % of Mahomes post season success, I would consider the Chargers a threat.
