All the defensive big names have come out saying they're with Allen. I think carmicheal's corpse having its hands strangling the offensive side of the ball hurt the offensive sided guys and the way their locker room was tied up last year. OTA turnout is good, brand new offensive scheme that a lot of the players are clearly excited about. Dennis Allen is not a good head coach but there's an argument to be made that a 2-win improved head coach deserves another shot
Dennis Allen is a defense guy.. The offense was the problem. Pete Carmichael was trying to run the Sean Payton/Drew Brees system without Brees OR Payton. It was never going to work.
It’s because he did so well as DC in Payton’s final years he was bound to get a real chance at coaching the team. I’m hoping if we suck this year he gets shit canned tho… my main issue is D Carr, the team does not fuck w him and he’s a crybaby pig bitch. I don’t like his attitude and his decision making is amateur at best and beyond fucking moronic at worst
I will say this is the be the most excited I’ve been to see the preseason, specifically for QBs I can’t wait to see: Spencer Rattler play as a Saint Justin Fields play as a Steeler JJ McCarthy play as a Viking Michael Penix play as a Falcon Caleb Williams play as a Bear Drake Maye play as a Patriot Bo Nix play as a Bronco Jayden Daniels play as a Commander Since most of these guys probably won’t start when the regular season starts
It's all very true. Giants were too quick to paid Danny Jones just cuz of ONE good season. Raiders, there questions lie in QB, who is there guy? Saints, they got a not so good QB and coach so they gotta figure out what to do with that. And Patriots, well, this is just a new era for them entirely. It's the Jerod Mayo era now and they're just predominantly trying to shift away from all Belichick related things. So I'm not exactly as concerned with them, speaking as a big Pats fan, they can do whatever this season. But with Giants, Daboll really needs to make a plan here or he will be getting the cut sooner than later. Raiders, they just gonna have to roll with AoC and see what happens. He might not be the guy but he could buy time till they get a better QB. And Saints, they should continue with Carr and let Spencer watch for a while
They had to. Not resigning Jones meant entering a freefall, since they didn't have an answer on their roster, the playoff win put them too late in the first round to draft a likely answer at QB, and free agency really wasn't any more promising than their draft prospects. The amount Jones expected absolutely provided a $10mil-$15mil handicap they had to deal with, but they also had even more bad Gettleman contracts coming off the books, so it was a very livable situation if they played their cards right. Not only did Schoen not move the roster forward significantly, but everything with DJ hurt them after he was paid, from his regression to the injury. You can't just run the same scheme year after year, and so since they had to move away from the idiotproofed scheme that got Jones that contract, it just did not work from there. Daboll has the skills to make this work, but my faith in everyone else in that organization is shot, so unfortunately, he's probably going to have to be a hero in his second chance, if he's one of the lucky few to get one after a disastrous first shot.
Saints went from being perennial contenders to absolute mid every year. Feel bad for their fans, seems like every season for them since 2019 has been groundhog day and they keep just kicking their dead down the road which keeps then stuck there. Then they make weird moves like signing derek carr for big bucks as if theyre just a qb away from competing. Its pretty bizarre tbh, feel like brees covered up alot of flaws with the the saints org and FO
The Patriots first 4 games are the real life version of that scene in SpongeBob SquarePants where he gets shredded by cheese graters and giant clams near the road.
I think the Raiders will probably be competitive at least in 2024, may finish with a winning season. We will see playoffs again in 2025. No matter what, I worry about 2026 no matter which coach or QB we have. The team is built around guys who are 26-32, and a couple of DL cornerstones when most DL don’t have a long shelf life.
Drake maye isn’t starting this season. All reports show he is going to sit and develop. Patriots are trying to win a bowl they are rebuilding not just the team, but culture. After several bad years of drafting it is going to take more than one season. But they will be better.
Situation for the Chiefs, specifically at QB is pretty bleak. The Mahomes contract is one of the worst in history atp, the Chiefs dug themselves a hole that’s going to be hard to get out of. I don’t see them doing anything until Mahomes is off the team.
As a very real chiefs fan, I think the only way for them to get out of it is to trade Mahomes for an actually talented QB. Someone like Ryan Tannehill. I hope the chiefs do this, like I said as a very real chiefs fan and definitely not a Chargers fan
They don't care, them generational QBs make it easy to team build because they need next to nothing. Might even get a couple more rings. Worth it to hit the cellar for half a decade afterward
Love your videos. Usually. Reviewing the Giants poor 2023 season without even mentioning the oline is malpractice. It was a historically bad oline, and the root of most of their problems.
I never really leave comments but i’d just like to let you know i’ve been watching a lot of your videos over the past few months and i really appreciate the analysis and research that goes into each of these videos
You didn’t even mention how dj got killed every snap last year. The giants situation is bad but not bottom 4 in the league. If dj is bad this year you cut him since his guaranteed money is over with. Then you just draft a rookie qb next year with your top pick and pair him with the now pro experienced nabers. NO ONE IS SAYING DJ IS THE ANSWER, BUT HAVING HIM FOR THIS YEAR LITERALLY MAKES PERFECT SENSE IN A REBUILD SITUATION
New England really should play Brissette as long as possible. If they're fully out of contention by week 14, maybe then have Maye get some experience, but that kid definitely needs to sit and learn for awhile. For his own sanity. I suspect Brian Daboll will be safe for another year, so long as Drew Lock shows some promise (I don't think Jones will last long as the starter, assuming he's even the day 1 starter). Dennis Allen strikes me as an insurance salesman who walked into the wrong building one day. I genuinely hope Gardner Minshew proves he more than the lovable journeyman with the Raiders. He truly *should* be a Raider and if the NFL script writers were feeling nice, he should be a successful Raider.
Ok so the Giants aren't in an ideal position - for sure. And a lot of that does stem from Jones's contract. However, some key things that you glossed over: - Jones's contract had an out built in after year 2. Almost all the guaranteed money was frontloaded, so DJ was incentivized to play well over a longer period to make most of the total contract. And if he didn't - and continues to not - well the Giants can bail after this year. - Most of the receiving core of the Giants isn't as bad as people make it out to be, just unproven. Slayton is their mr consistency, and solid as a WR2, and Nabers has a ton of upside. They just need Robinson and Hyatt to develop well to turn the corner - RB room is kinda mid, yeah. However keeping Barkley was never going to net the Giants any progress unfortunately. - The OL is also a major concern. AT is awesome, but everyone else needs to prove it. Hopefully the veteran additions mix well with Neal/JMS to form a solid group - The front 7 is legit. Dex and Burns will be dangerous, Thibs is coming into his own, and Okereke/McFadden were super underrated, the secondary will need time to develop, as it headlines mostly 3rd year pros and younger. I think that's the key word for the Giants for things to start looking up: Development. There's Rookies and 2nd year guys all over, in starting roles, at basically every position. If those guys are able to develop into solid starters, then the future looks bright under Daboll If not...lookin like back to square one
@@spidamitchell8311 I mean, you have to consider the surrounding circumstances. There was no QB on the market or in the draft that year they could reasonably get without mortgaging their future, or taking another big risk. Not like a guy like Will Levis or (as we saw) Tyrod Taylor changes much about this Giants team So while Jones got overpaid, he was coming off his best season ever in terms of efficiency. The value on QBs is generally pretty high, and finding a replacement would be even more expensive - either with money or draft picks (which would further reduce the options for rebuilding the team) Heinsight 20/20 ofc, they shouldn't have given Jones that contract at all. But in the moment...yeah it made more sense to go with the guy that was running the offense well and showed great upside as opposed to finding a plugin vet and surrendering the season to being only ok. Think of it this way: Mac Jones peaked early on his rookie deal, then showed he wasn't able to rise above the situation he was in. Jones peaked late on his rookie contract, muddying the waters if he was a victim of circumstance or not. Now it's clear that - barring some superstar season which MAY get Jones out of a jam, the Giants are ready to move on (they did try to trade up for Maye after all)
Not a single thing mentioned about the Patriots injuries last season? Lost Judon, no Gonzo, at times playing CB4 & 5 as starters…? It’s a two year rebuild- very different than the Saints & Giants
Man you’d think the NYGs weren’t the youngest team in the league that went to the divisional round just the second before last and it’s not like Daboll didn’t win games w/ Tommy “Jersey Shore” DeVito an undrafted rookie
The giants winning one playoff game against a fraudulent Vikings team means about as much as the jags winning because the chargers blew it. They won a wildcard game then got spanked by a contender in the next game.
I feel like the raiders take is kinda mid. How do we know if they have a guy or not they have a solid floor backup and a 2nd year qb with solid upside if he develops. I get the corner position as a question but the corners aren’t even terrible. Jack jones and Nate Hobbs is a very solid one two
We cut Brightwell a week and half ago. Dante Miller is the other running back in the room. But it shows you how much Gettleman and the second half of the Reese tenure missed draft picks.
Reese was actually cooking besides Ereck Flowers, Eli Apple and Evan Engram. Justin Pugh proved to be a good starter for 9 years in the NFL, David Wilson got his career unfortunately cut short due to injury but was a All-Pro level player his rookie year. You could even argue Engram's failure in NY was more the head coaching situation and not him with McAdoo and Shurmur
As a Saints fan, Derek Carr almost definitely isn't the answer, but Spencer Rattler might be. Even though the top of the roster has a lot of vets, we've also been drafting pretty well the past several years, and have one of the youngest receiving cores in the league (plus a hidden gem at RB behind Kamara in Kendre Miller). Plus, the offense will look a lot better with Kubiak at the helm (anyone would be an improvement over Carmichael tbf). I think this year is one of those "sneaky" rebuild years, where we try to win as much as we can with a mostly veteran roster (which may only be 8-9 wins max, which can still win the division) while developing the young players and getting Rattler ready to take over with the young talent at the skill positions. What really needs to change is Dennis Allen at HC. Guy is a good defensive mind but not a leader of men (as seen when the team completely disrespected him last play of last year). Need a guy with a backbone to lead this team.
The Raiders take is crazy because as it stands right now no way in hell 4 QBs go in round 1 next year. This QB class looks way more similar to the 2022 class than the 2021 or 2024 one. Things could change, but as things stand saying 4+ QBs are likely to go in the first round next year is CRAZY…
Sanders (Deons kid), Ewers (Texas QB), Auller (Penn St), UGA's QB and Ward (Miami's QB) could all end up as First rounders next year. Remember Joe B went from Day 3 or undrafted to undisupted 1st overall pick. You never know whose gonna be a breakout player and who busts. Also the Chiefs traded up from 27 to 10 for Mahomes, Raiders could easily move up to 8th next year to get their guy
@@jamesknapp64 For sure, they all could. Jayden Daniels went from a projected 6th rounder to the 2nd overall. On the other hand, Will Levis went from a projected top 5 pick to a 2nd rounder. Going into the season it is largely considered the worst QB class outside of 2022 in recent memory. Shedeur comes with lots of baggage and we just saw Rattler drop to a 6th rounder for stuff he did in high school. Ewers is in rumors that he may not even start the whole season for Texas. Aller was absolutely awful last year. Beck is solid but he doesn't jump out as a prospect. Ward is incredibly inconsistent. To say at this moment that 4+ will probably go in the first round is just crazy when there are barely even 4 QB needy teams in the NFL.
I bet Teams stay away from Sanders because of Deion. Also I bet Deion has Shedeur positioned to pick where he wants to go ala Eli Manning John Elway! Don’t draft me, I’ll sit out!
Carr was good down the stretch with arguably the worse play caller ever in pete, with kubiaks new scheme influenced by his dad and kyle, there’s no telling what we are capable of this year but i can guarantee you right here we will win 7+ games because that’s how we have been not good enough to get double digit wins but not bad enough to get a top 5 pick since Sean left + our defense is borderline elite to that alone wins us games, quit having people just hate the saints because we used to run the NFC and now we don’t So y’all kick a man while he’s down 😂
As a life long die hard saints fan, I don’t agree completely but I won’t argue. We will see, I’m commenting so someone can bring me back after the seasons results. 😅 Hopefully for a victory lap, probably not tho 😭
I love it when someone says the giants skills positions are all bad and makes Malik Nabers sound better than them all when he hasn’t played a single snap
Literally Singletary had almost 1000 rushing yards last year in 10 GAMES PLAYED, Hyatt, Wan'Dale and Slayton is an amazing WR corps behind Nabers. Obviously the TE room is in question but you don't necessarily need a good TE to have a good offense look at the Dolphins last year. It just shows you who actually knows Giants football and who doesn't
@MosheGoldbergTheKing now list the hits and also Burks Williamson Dotson and Johnston are in year 2/3 so it’s too early still for them and Ridley literally just got paid too money and Brown will get paid too that’s not a bust WRs are just more likely to get passed around ex TO and Moss
@MosheGoldbergTheKing no matter the previous stats and situations they are still both the WR1 on their respective team and been WR1 on multiple teams Brown w/ 3 Ridley 2
For jones’ contract, he’ll only get paid for half that when let go after this year IF he doesn’t have a stellar season. He has to throw 35-45 TDs and have less than 7 INT. Then again, the O-line really has to improve this year since it’s a team sport.
@@isaiahh4108 for me that’s the bare minimum which won’t cut it for Joe and Daboll, they’ll release him. If we’re going to be paying him +$40mil a year he has to fully take advantage of the weapons he has and I have confidence the oline will be better with the additions.
As a Saints fan, I am convinced that Dennis Allen is our biggest problem. In my opinion, he showed how terrible of a coach he is when he threw the team under the bus and apologized to the Falcons (FTF!). I doubt a single player in that locker room has an ounce of respect for DA, and that will be a problem. I do think Derek Carr is a better QB than people give him credit for, and I'm looking forward to seeing him with our new OC. Also, we need to utilize Taysom Hill more. When Hill gets the ball, Saints tend to win. I hope Kubiak uses him appropriately!
it’s incredibly unfair to call the giants skill positions just straight bad when they had probably the worst situation in the league last year and they’re all like 22 and under besides slayton the guy who has produced pretty consistently over the last 5 years even with bad qb play and he’s only 27. just a lack of understanding from the general nfl fan i guess
That's how it always is with people against the Giants because of how big the market is. The Giants arguably have the talent of a top 15 team and definitely on paper can compete with the Eagles
That is some crazy cap hell the Saints are forcing themselves into when they're not even winning the division. We've seem Loomis have some wicked good drafts - especially 2017 - but...is he really making them better at this point in time?
And Javon Baker the rookie WR for the patriots better be a starter this year. He is quite possibly the best WR on the team. JU JU and Baker and Polk would be my starters.
We needed QB, WR, and LT all equally. QBs are by far the hardest position to find. Even if you sign a "solid QB" (there is no guarantee that one is available so it would be foolish to rely on that) and have a great roster you still won't win anything (look at the 9ers for the past half decade). If the goal is to be mediocre then sure you can be upset about them taking a swing on Maye
There is going to be some free agent veteran wr next off season Higgins (if he doesn't get extended), Brandon Aiyuk as of now Patriots can pick one of these guys up or someone else Hopkins 2yr deal? and continue to rebuild the roster I personally think that they should continue to rebuild the oline so that Maye doesn't have defenders in his face and by building the oline it can improve the run game which can take pressure off the wr
Who would you rather have right now as a staff and roster, Dallas, Giants……or Washington? Honestly give me Washington going forward. They are pointing way up while the other two are bloated and plummeting.
This video is a clickbait, his argument was terrible. Coming from the guy who was so high on the Giants last year, kow he sees them as bottom 4 lol. I agree that we need a new qb, but that is not a situation "to be scared off" Next year we cut DJ, invest more on DL and OL..
Wow the Patriots are so jacked up. Here are the 40 times for their top 4 WRs. 4.52, 4.53, 4.54, and 4.44. They have Tyquan Thornton who is a 4.28 but that roster reset list you showed didn’t have him listed. They listed Ja’lynn Polk, Javon Baker, Kendrick Bourne, Demario Douglas. 2 of those guys are rookies and 1 will be a second year player Douglas and he is 5’8’’ 190 lbs and they have once true veteran in Bourne. They have a good TE in Hunter Henry and if the Patriots roll with Caden Wallace as their starting LT then he is in for a rude awakening. He is a rookie 3rd rounder. And he may be really good but going j to the season and the draft without someone who can definitely start at LT was a huge screw up. That’s the second most important position on the offense LT. And they will have a rookie QB Too!! Not good. And aside for Thornton who they have t played very much in his first 2 years there is very little speed on this offense. Like I said earlier the top 4 WRs they had listed their 40 times are 4.52, 4.53, 4.54, 4.44. As an example the Bengals top 4 WRs are 4.34, 4.59, 4.45, 4.43 and the Bengals TE is 4.54.
As a giants fan it’s first time in a long time I’m not excited for a season. They didn’t do enough to fix the oline so the oline will suck again and I’m tired of jones
Everyone was ranting recently how Dabo was the greatest coach in the league. Never a good idea to hype or pimp any nfl player team or coach, if you don’t want to sound stupid.
I don’t get why I got shit for saying the Daniel jones contract was a overpay! Many people were saying they should pay him that since he was good and what else and I said don’t overpay.
There are some good QBs coming out next year. The Giants are almost surely going to get 1 of the best to start new with a new coach etc. A complete scrap and rebuild. If Daniel Jones doesnt look like Mahomes and get at least a playoff win, I'd say its over for this Giants roster
I mean this roster isn't ideal but it has young talent that could devleop well if done right. I would even say that its better than the roster that went to the playoffs. Completely blowing it up would mean giving up on that talent and would put us in an even worse spot. The giants should just see how this season goes but try to keep a similar team (other than Qb of course) and make needed changes.
The Saints are always in cap hell, and I do not understand it. Like Dallas pretends they can't pay anybody, but the Saints legitimately cannot. Personally do not know what is worse. But when your division is soft as baby doo doo I guess that is passable.
Why does no one talk about the giants horrible Oline. Everyone blames DJ but the man needs time to throw the ball. Hopefully the line actually protects DJ this next season
I don’t understand why the cowboys are always in the “Contenders” talks. What the Fuck have they done to earn that? Ik it’s just national media who props them up but it’s ridiculous how they’re always considered a contender
Analysis fail. Giants had the worst OL in the NFL last year, giving up the 2nd most sacks in NFL history. 99% of QB’s would fail with that pathetic group in front of them. Giants front office continues to miss on most draft picks for the last decade
The saints take is bullshit. Trading off talent and rebuild is by far more of a crap shoot than what the saints are doing. Carr an the saints were one missed field goal from winning division and keeping the media darling love and the packers at home. Considering they kicked the crap out of division champ bucs and finished with the same record. The bucs backed into the playoffs and had a playoff win against a shit show eagles team. Both of those teams are in a far worse spot. Baker and Hurts paid and truly not great just like your shit take on Carr
Ngl I think if the packers don’t comeback from down 0-17 in the 4th qtr or we make the fg and we make the playoffs at 10-7 people would look at us a lot different lmao
@@kennyjoseph9647 Majority of the QBs to ever win anything were just average. Having a decent cost team friendly deal for a top 16-22 QB in the league is enough to win, as long as your coach can put everything around it together.
About the Patriots WR’s uhh what about Tyquan Thornton?? You know the 2nd round pick out of Baylor in 2022. You know the dude who ran a 4.28 40 yard dash and a 1.41 10 yard split. You didn’t even mention him when listing the Patriots WR’s.
Giants are in so much trouble they got a generational bust at qb & removed there only offensive player in Barkley .. the giants legitimately have a chance at being worse then the panthers last year & that’s hard to do when Bryce is the worst bust to ever live
Hey we will trade Tee Higgins to the Patriots or whoever. They just have to give us a 1st round pick. We know how valuable Tee is a big bodied receiver with some speed and quickness who is a great route runner and the king of contested catches. He is worth a 1st round pick. He was the 33rd pick in 2020. He is just entering his prime. I think a top 35 lick could get it done. Maybe the 34th pick and a player or and a 7th or something. I know a 1st round pick would get it done.
Honestly your Giants depiction is wholly inaccurate. The NYG ownership and leadership has completely understood the situation. Daboll is completely safe this year, as the plan is to move on next year as a fresh start. Also their WR room isnt bad, just never had a QB to get them the ball. Take a look at what they looked like with Tyrod Taylor.
100% no. I think they’re best best is to keep the cabinets stocked and hope to lure a veteran ready to win now, or to give whatever rookie you get the best chance at success.
I feel the Saints are going to crash and burn this season and they are going to completely tear down the roster and fire Dennis Allen and Mickey Loomis. When they fire Allen and Loomis is up in the air but, if they don't great paces of improvement this season, they will be fired regardless of when that will be.
Why do all sport pundits like yourself assume that the raiders would be better drafting a QB. You do realize there’s maybe one generational prospect every couple of years and until manning comes through I’m sure Aiden will ok be better than the likes of nix McCarthy beck and sanders
@MosheGoldbergTheKing anyone talking about sports with a following is a pundit… that’s my complaint about all of them they just hear a narrative and roll with it haha. 😂
90% of championships are won by a top five statistical qb, or a rookie qb on a rookie scale contract. That’s why everyone says they need to draft a qb. It ain’t narrative; it’s how the league works.
@@stoozdee it’s is a narratives that’s not how everybody goes about building a team like wtf did you just say. That’s the most uneducated thing I’ve ever heard🤣 well the raiders got the second best QB in the draft last year. What should they just suck every year until they get a guy that you losers think is worth it 🤣that sounds like a horrible idea
Do you think I care what you think about Carr? Nope, I don't. He's a damn good QB and if he hadn't gotten injured in the GB game where the Saints were up by 17, I have no doubt that they would have made the playoffs, which would have been remarkable considering the fact that his offensive line sucked ass and his receivers were mediocre to average at best. So in the amazing words of my wonderful wife, " Ph uc k...off."
The Raiders are my sleeper pick to finish last in the AFC. No QB. Their RB is Green Bay. Their best offensive player wishes he were in Green Bay. An inexperienced defensive position coach in a division with 3 veteran Super Bowl coaches.
You're just so wrong in every conceivable way. Davante is a Raider, he doesn't want to go anywhere, and the raiders rb room is crazy deep. This is 2024, you don't need an elite rb for a dominant run game. I'd bet you literally ecerything that the raiders place 2nd in the division ahead of both those Mickey Mouse ass coaches in denver and la. 😂
Bullshit. They completely shat the bed last season, and Daboll proved he might be way over his head as a head coach; costing his team multiple games, and petulantly forcing his excellent Defensive Coordinator off the team…
@@elijahechicagobearsboyd5734or the team was dismantled by injury and the worst offensive line most of us have seen in our lifetime. Daniel Jones did not have a fair shot last year. Whether you think he is good or not, last year is not a good benchmark for his career. The defense will be elite. The talent on the defensive side of the ball will be top 10. Wink was a GOOD DC not excellent. While his defensive strategy did cause a lot of turnovers, it allowed the big play to be picked up pretty consistently. The gap between a bad starter at RB and a good starter is minimal. And saying the WR room is bad is absolutely insane. WR is a position that rookies can and will dominate. Nabers will take attention off of Robinson who proved to be a YAC monster last year which leads to more openings for Slayton who is a legit WR2
Jesus loves you!!! God bless! Jesus Christ is King and saves and is the way! Psalms 62 - "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Be realistic man he’s getting at least 4 years, this idea that he’s on the hot seat is a weird one. Giants had a great yr1 with him and last season everything that could have went wrong did, he’s cool
You're being too kind to the Saints in my opinion. There has to come a point where the Saints' core of mediocrity declines to the point that they're just outright bad, and I think that point is this season. Which honestly is the best thing that could happen to the Saints under the circumstances; have a season so bad they're forced to clean house and embark on a total rebuild.
Who do you think has the worst situation entering 2024? 🤔
Panthers, pats, broncos
Eagles hurts sucks they have garbage back seven on defense and everyone got grossly over paid.
The Broncos and the Saints
The Cowboys. They still have a horrible GM that's holding them back from going all the way.
Steelers are in a similar situation to the Saints....a better roster but worse QBs
The giants are building for their future qb1 in 2025 rather than reaching with a lesser team for the rookie qb
I like what the giants are doing. It’s a process but I can see what they are trying to achieve.
Yeah it's honestly not a terrible situation to be in. DJ's guaranteed money is over after this season
They paid DJ a top 10 qb salary for ONE mid season. He is not the guy and they jumped the gun
@@RekttalofBladesdog what does that have to do with them being able to cut him next year with minimal casualties

Saints with Derek Carr - now that’s a tough situation for a franchise. Like a ship slowly taking on water
And he has a bad contract
They should seriously trade mahomes for A bag of chips
Ummm ok. Does 2 rings and a possible 3-peat ring a bell?
Chiefs were nothing B4 Mahomes will be nothing without Mahomes.
Dawg the paparazzi instrumental during the pats segment was cold man, salute
@10:53 I know these are all low lights, but this is a truly terrible pass in every way.
Mentioning Allen Robinson instead of Isaiah Hodgins is crazy work😂
Ok so the Giants aren't in an ideal position - for sure. And a lot of that does stem from Jones's contract. However, some key things that you glossed over:
- Jones's contract had an out built in after year 2.
They just need Robinson and Hyatt to develop well to turn the corner
- RB room is kinda mid, yeah. However keeping Barkley was never going to net the Giants any progress unfortunately.
- The OL is also a major concern. AT is awesome, but everyone else needs to prove it. Hopefully the veteran additions mix well with Neal/JMS to form a solid group
- The front 7 is legit.
If those guys are able to develop into solid starters, then the future looks bright under Daboll
If not...lookin like back to square one
You said it best a lot of people just gloss over a lot of these key things
Them giving that contract was horrendous!
Mac Jones after year 3 got no more chances so why would Daniel get a 6th chance?!
@@spidamitchell8311 I mean, you have to consider the surrounding circumstances. There was no QB on the market or in the draft that year they could reasonably get without mortgaging their future, or taking another big risk. Not like a guy like Will Levis or (as we saw) Tyrod Taylor changes much about this Giants team
So while Jones got overpaid, he was coming off his best season ever in terms of efficiency. The value on QBs is generally pretty high, and finding a replacement would be even more expensive - either with money or draft picks (which would further reduce the options for rebuilding the team)
Heinsight 20/20 ofc, they shouldn't have given Jones that contract at all.
@@dagothurik1815 except the NYGs roster was wayy worse and no matter how fraudulent Minny was they were 13-4 that’s still a good team

I feel like the raiders take is kinda mid. How do we know if they have a guy or not they have a solid floor backup and a 2nd year qb with solid upside if he develops. I get the corner position as a question but the corners aren’t even terrible. Jack jones and Nate Hobbs is a very solid one two
Solid ass team too only issue is the AFC west
I'm glad someone else knows about Miller
Spencer Rattler is struggling in camp and won’t even beat Jake Haener for QB2 lol
Youre football knowledge is in the drain with this take lol
Have a tank battle with haener and Spencer
The Raiders take is crazy because as it stands right now no way in hell 4 QBs go in round 1 next year. This QB class looks way more similar to the 2022 class than the 2021 or 2024 one. Things could change, but as things stand saying 4+ QBs are likely to go in the first round next year is CRAZY…
Its true tho
Im a Washington fan and my favorite players is max crosby..
I think we can win the NFC South and the wildcard round. That’s where it’ll probably end though. We’ll see…
I love you too Football Analysis man
I love it when someone says the giants skills positions are all bad and makes Malik Nabers sound better than them all when he hasn’t played a single snap
Especially since I think Hyatt is the possible star
Literally Singletary had almost 1000 rushing yards last year in 10 GAMES PLAYED, Hyatt, Wan'Dale and Slayton is an amazing WR corps behind Nabers. Obviously the TE room is in question but you don't necessarily need a good TE to have a good offense look at the Dolphins last year. It just shows you who actually knows Giants football and who doesn't
@MosheGoldbergTheKing not recently like the last 10 years
@MosheGoldbergTheKing now list the hits and also Burks Williamson Dotson and Johnston are in year 2/3 so it’s too early still for them and Ridley literally just got paid too money and Brown will get paid too that’s not a bust WRs are just more likely to get passed around ex TO and Moss
I’d be happy w/ 30 TTDs and 10 TOs a mix of his rookie and breakout season
@@isaiahh4108 for me that’s the bare minimum which won’t cut it for Joe and Daboll, they’ll release him. If we’re going to be paying him +$40mil a year he has to fully take advantage of the weapons he has and I have confidence the oline will be better with the additions.
Tbh I figured Pennex was going to the Raiders...gj of Atlanta fucking them lol
As a Saints fan, I am convinced that Dennis Allen is our biggest problem. In my opinion, he showed how terrible of a coach he is when he threw the team under the bus and apologized to the Falcons (FTF!). I doubt a single player in that locker room has an ounce of respect for DA, and that will be a problem. I do think Derek Carr is a better QB than people give him credit for, and I'm looking forward to seeing him with our new OC. Also, we need to utilize Taysom Hill more. When Hill gets the ball, Saints tend to win. I hope Kubiak uses him appropriately!
What people are not understanding is that the ginats 2022 had a worse team than this year, the giants had a worse WR core and defense...
it’s incredibly unfair to call the giants skill positions just straight bad when they had probably the worst situation in the league last year and they’re all like 22 and under besides slayton the guy who has produced pretty consistently over the last 5 years even with bad qb play and he’s only 27. just a lack of understanding from the general nfl fan i guess
That's how it always is with people against the Giants because of how big the market is. The Giants arguably have the talent of a top 15 team and definitely on paper can compete with the Eagles
the it sucks to be in the middle thing does not take into account some fanbases are starved for Anything that looks like decent football
New Orleans was NO surprise at all. As long as Dennis Allen and Derek Carr are there, they will never be a true winning team.
My Patriots are in a very scary situation, in my opinion. They’re probably in the bottom 3 teams.
Mind blown Allen Robinson is still playing and not pushing 40.
Pop or Bourne over Ju ju
100% my issues with the patriots. We needed a wid receiver more than anything else as there are going to be a few solid qb options next year.
Probably will end trading and overpaying for Higgins or Aiyuk
We needed QB, WR, and LT all equally. QBs are by far the hardest position to find. Even if you sign a "solid QB" (there is no guarantee that one is available so it would be foolish to rely on that) and have a great roster you still won't win anything (look at the 9ers for the past half decade).
If the goal is to be mediocre then sure you can be upset about them taking a swing on Maye
There is going to be some free agent veteran wr next off season Higgins (if he doesn't get extended), Brandon Aiyuk as of now
Patriots can pick one of these guys up or someone else Hopkins 2yr deal? and continue to rebuild the roster
I personally think that they should continue to rebuild the oline so that Maye doesn't have defenders in his face and by building the oline it can improve the run game which can take pressure off the wr

I agree that we need a new qb, but that is not a situation "to be scared off"
Next year we cut DJ, invest more on DL and OL..

Everyone was ranting recently how Dabo was the greatest coach in the league. Never a good idea to hype or pimp any nfl player team or coach, if you don’t want to sound stupid.
I don’t get why I got shit for saying the Daniel jones contract was a overpay!
Many people were saying they should pay him that since he was good and what else and I said don’t overpay.
its obvious someone is salty about the playoff lost to the giants.
'Their weapons are bad if you exclude their best player' would work on about every team in the NFL
I feel bad for Daboll, he was handed a literal dumpster fire
I really hope he doesn’t get fired cause he’s a great coach

My excuse for carr he didn't have a top 10 defenese. But in reality he just mediocre for real
I feel the Saints are going to crash and burn this season and they are going to completely tear down the roster and fire Dennis Allen and Mickey Loomis. When they fire Allen and Loomis is up in the air but, if they don't great paces of improvement this season, they will be fired regardless of when that will be.

Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Brian Daboll is gone next year.
Be realistic man he’s getting at least 4 years, this idea that he’s on the hot seat is a weird one. Giants had a great yr1 with him and last season everything that could have went wrong did, he’s cool

It’s like the cowboys but in New Orleans
