Give the casting director a medal for giving Blunt the Angel of Verdun. She stole the whole movie, her screen presence was epic, Cruise became background noise in every scene she shared with him. the FMB has become an iconic character in her own right thanks to Blunt. I never really cared much about her as an actor before I saw the movie but now I respect her ability totally. Epic job.
junkstuff If he actually picked her because he thought she would be good for that role and not for any outside (promoting) reasons then he is a freaking genius.
KAL EL That's exactly what happened. I believe he was really impressed by her work in The Adjustment Bureau because she had to train a lot to learn the dance moves she had to do in that film, and she did it almost all by herself. Cruise wanted someone who would to most of the stunts so they could get the proper shots and show Rita is all her glory. So Tom Cruise has my eternal respect and he can know at least one person will watch all of his next films. He deserves it.
padamibr Let's hope we wont be seeing her only in trash romance/comedy shit and we will see her again in a big box office badass role, preferably science fiction, because she was so good its not even funny.
That simple look in a basic makeups and a pony tail, genuinely the killer combinations to me. Btw, I don't trust the interviewer Emily. Get out in there!

Tom Cruise actually requested that Emily Blunt played Rita Vrataski
Lol, I cant believe there is someone else who has the exact same thoughts as me.

Emily blunt was the best part of the movie for me and I wish that it was longer than it was and to see what happens after he laughed in the last scene
you hope she knew what they had gone through but unfortunately she doesnt. hence the music that comes on after.

CRF250R1521 Dude same

poor interviewer, shes not a new underdog actress
This guy is out of his league, poor choices of questions.
She’s beautiful. Typical English beauty.

What is that ending character she impersonated from?
Peyton, Em's valley girl accent.
poor interviewer.
Asking her to do an impression is kind of rude. Don't ask actors to perform while you're interviewing them.
I think I'm in love with the interviewer
Very caracteristic
