Nomadic Fanatic can single handily end the sever drought problem that is effecting lake mead and the hoover dam. He just needs to spend the summer into the fall in the lake Mead, lake Powell area. He has a chance to become a real hero. I hope he will man up and bring his rain cloud to that area.
When we moved to Crescent City on Californias north coast the first thing we found was that every restaurant in this town serves GREAT fish. Great fish sandwiches, great fish & chips, great fish dinners, even great fish tacos. Well, except for the fast food places. Its great to live in a town with 200 commercial fishing boats in the harbor bringing in fresh catch every day. !
I used to Boondock there myself last time probably about four years ago. I’ve seen this dynamic elsewhere in the West where I travel. I think it’s happening because they don’t want people who are homeless living in their RV on their property. Some people are homeless and they live in a RV. Other people are houseless and live in a RV but they are not broke like the homeless people living in a RV. I have a classic RV in mint condition and sometimes security people confuse me for somebody who is homeless living in there RV four somebody that’s houseless. One day in a Walmart parking lot several people came up to me at the same time to complement me on my rig and the security guard told me I was being a nuisance and I needed to move along.

Eric, I live in Ocean Shores, and I didn’t see any rain until Tuesday night the 5th, and I only know that because the ground was wet this morning. It was an absolute war zone here for a couple of nights. Didn’t faze my dog at all, even when I took him for a walk. I thought maybe he was going deaf but he can hear me open the refrigerator from the bedroom so I think he’s just dumb. I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t find a space at the County Park or anywhere else for that matter. I knew where you were going to camp and I thought about coming over to see you but I’m a great-great grandmother so I didn’t think you’d be too excited about that.

The casino probably accomplished what it intended. They were probably having problems with the type of people staying for free. I don't know...but that's another way of looking at the situation. Keep up the good work!
That is exactly what they are doing, boondocker RVers don’t tend to bring in enough revenue. Unless you are dropping 1200 to 1500 a night on top of the rate, you’re not even in the ballpark.

Greedy casino for sure. Player #'s must be down. No brainer....$5 more for full hook ups. I'd be all over that. You also nailed it about the RV casino patrons ! Used to be a similar deal at a casino by Albuquerque, NM. Started out $10 fee(electric site), but gave $10 voucher to play in casino. I'd easily drop a hundee in there gambling and/or dining per stay. Raised prices, no vouchers, no more me. I now simply drive on by.

My family hit Ocean Shores at the Canterbury Inn for years as a kid in the 70's-80's. Remember the leaning boat beached on the shore, unreal for years of exploration as a kid. Fishing off the docks for bulkheads. Learning to love smoked salmon. Good memories. Happy 4th from Canada .
Sounds like bad lot dockers screwed it up for everyone else. We're looking to move towards Washington state. Ocean Shores is one of the communities we are looking at.
The casino charging for parking is likely not a monetary thing as you’re looking at it. Considering how bad the “RV” living has become out here, my guess is they are simply trying to prevent free loaders from boon docking there. You obviously are not abusing the system and they should give free passes to those they know.
Best thing you can do, concerning the Casino, is to write them a letter. (or if you don't want to do a letter, leave a review.) Don't rant and rave, just point out how many times you have been there, how you tell all your friends and viewers its a great place. But your going to stop, its not longer a good deal, you can get more at a lower price nearby, That you will be moving on and will not recommending it any longer. Thank them for all the years you have been coming there and the wonderful meals. Will it do anything? Maybe not, but it will let them know your opinionm and maybe if they get enough opinions from other customers they may rethink the change

There's a fun little casino in Tokeland. Up north a bit is Washaway beach. Nice quiet place to boondock. It's a place where the neighborhood and the streets are falling into the ocean and the homes are abandoned. Pretty cool. Not on tribal land and the cops are based in Raymond.

Camping is no longer affordable. Especially in Washington State. I used to camp it grays harbor ORV with a family of four cannot afford it anymore. It's only a matter of time until Capital Forest is no longer available for camping. Sorry to be a downer but I'm just venting.

Love the videos Eric, I am absolutely the same with my beard, every single year, I clean shave and keep it growing for a couple of weeks and end up having the same length and cut. Every.single.time 🙂 As a biker of more than 20 years (and only about 10 driving a car), I absolutely understand, Betty is a lovely beast, but you would need a bigger Class A with a trailer that could carry both Tater and Betty. I had 4 Harleys at one point, one of them a custom build, sold them all and bought a small 300 cc naked bike. Yes, the Harleys were lovely, but I ride much less now and the small one is just more practical. Hugs and kisses to the kitties, I have 4 of my own!

I Love Ocean Shores!!!! We usually camp in our van at the little campground right at the edge of town. It runs right alongside of the entrance road to the ocean. We like it. We live in maple valley, wa. Have a great day!
Eric, just a short rant…. Please don’t call the Quinault Beach Resort Casino “Quinault”. I live in Quinault, and as you know it is nothing like the casino! Since they built the casino, everybody who hears I live in Quinault assumes I live at the beach, including people who live in this county. 🤪 If you come our way this year, if you want to enjoy the lake, drive up South Shore Road farther then last time. North Shore Road has been mostly bought up by the park and they have shut off most access to the lake. Up South Shore past the lake there are a few places by the river that you can pull over and enjoy. You can turn around at the bridge. Ps. Today there is a heavy mist. Makes me wonder if you are here since the rain seems to be following you this summer🤨😂

Alternative theory on the boondockers at the casino. They are purposely pricing them out because, lets face it, boondockers cause trouble. If they aren't paying to be somewhere, they tear the place up. That's why so many places are changing to not allow boondockers.
Perhaps the casino is doing their best to eliminate the rv crowd. Pricing boondockers out so they will not use the land. Maybe the casino wants to expand.

I always told people who weren’t from the Pacific Northwest, that Western Washington had two seasons, the rainy season and the Fourth of July.

Im sure you already thought of this is there a trailer long enough and strong enough to hold the bike as well as the smart cart . But I’m sure that’s to much weight on tilly the second

Love the videos Eric, I am absolutely the same with my beard, every single year, I clean shave and keep it growing for a couple of weeks and end up having the same length and cut. Every.single.time 🙂 As a biker of more than 20 years (and only about 10 driving a car), I absolutely understand, Betty is a lovely beast, but you would need a bigger Class A with a trailer that could carry both Tater and Betty. I had 4 Harleys at one point, one of them a custom build, sold them all and bought a small 300 cc naked bike. Yes, the Harleys were lovely, but I ride much less now and the small one is just more practical. Hugs and kisses to the kitties, I have 4 of my own!

I can't help but wonder if the casino was having issues with "campers". I totally get where you are coming from and agree it sucks. Indiana Mouse was very cool!!

I suspect the Casino Boondocking Crisis, is probably more related to problems with people in rolling outhouses and those that will trash the place and the paying customer pays for it again. Just a thought.

I Love Ocean Shores!!!! We usually camp in our van at the little campground right at the edge of town. It runs right alongside of the entrance road to the ocean. We like it.

Eric, just a short rant…. Please don’t call the Quinault Beach Resort Casino “Quinault”. I live in Quinault, and as you know it is nothing like the casino! Since they built the casino, everybody who hears I live in Quinault assumes I live at the beach, including people who live in this county. 🤪 If you come our way this year, if you want to enjoy the lake, drive up South Shore Road farther then last time. North Shore Road has been mostly bought up by the park and they have shut off most access to the lake. Up South Shore past the lake there are a few places by the river that you can pull over and enjoy. You can turn around at the bridge. Ps. Today there is a heavy mist. Makes me wonder if you are here since the rain seems to be following you this summer🤨😂

man. you are not a motorcyclist. i live 30 miles north of Seattle.i ride almost every day. you know it rains alot where you are. if you go a little east like on hwy 2 Leavenworth area its been great riding weather. go where its not raining! i haul my motorcycle on the back bumper, then i pull my jeep. maybe when you get your class A back that would work
Maybe Quinault doesn’t want boondockers.. sounds like they raised prices to say we don’t want that element here (free loaders).

Pretty area, but $40, no amenities, boondocking using your own power and water. Seems rather high. Plus patronizing the casino? I would look for a place to stay elsewhere. This inflation is getting out of hand all the way around. Very cool finds at the thrift stores. Daily videos are pretty fun. 🙂👍
Alternative theory on the boondockers at the casino. They are purposely pricing them out because, lets face it, boondockers cause trouble. If they aren't paying to be somewhere, they tear the place up. That's why so many places are changing to not allow boondockers.
Perhaps the casino is doing their best to eliminate the rv crowd. Pricing boondockers out so they will not use the land. Maybe the casino wants to expand.
