ERIC!!! That is KELP and kelp water bulbs! Thanks so much for this wonderful trip to northernmost Washington. It’s been too many years since we’ve visited. I told my husband, “OK…we’re taking our Lucy (Navion motorhome) to Washington sooner-rather-then-later!” He said, well, if we are going that far (from southern CA), let’s do the trans-Alaska highway while we’re up there!” You single-handedly created our probable next rv adventure! THANK YOU! 😻😻😻
I once had a cat that would talk back to me daily. It was a Sphynx cat. It would ask me for things with a "chirp". It was quite vocal when it wanted something, making all kinds of "bluuurt" noises. I would talk back to it in similar cat noises. It was great communication!
I went to cape flattery 12 years ago carrying my 2 year old daughter . It had just rained and the trail was more mud than trail. Still one of the prettiest places I’ve seen and well worth it.
Are you sure that was a sea lion statue?? I have Never seen a sea lion with such long and large ears.... And while the snout is close, it still looks more like a canine snout than a sea lion. 0_o Also I am pretty sure that town Sekiu is pronounced See-Que. ;)
The reason I started watching a few years ⬅️back Eric, was I like the way you edit/produce 📸videos. You have some 🤩talent in that field and I enjoy watching your videos because of it!👍
That's such a beautiful, beautiful area. Glad you had another video of it. Excellent campground. That water is so clear, and the foliage is so lush. Loved seeing the Pacific ocean. That definitely would be a great bike ride, just chilly. Kitties happy to have you back, even if they don't talk. 🙂👍
A couple years ago we went to Cape Flattery but I am so sad to say we didn't take the 25 minutes to walk the trail out to the point! After seeing this video we have 2 things on our road trip to see this summer, Lyre River Campground and the Cape. Thank you Eric for another amazing nature video! Well done.
Eric, I've had the fortune of visiting Olympic NP and seeing some of what you are showing us. I just turned 60 which I have to say is hard for me to believe, but fortunate enough to be in pretty good health and physical condition. I know you LOVE your life and how you live it and who could blame you. That being said your physical condition today is going to play a role in what you can do in your future so keep that in mind. Not trying to be your mom or dad here just a subscriber that enjoys most of your content. Enjoy the road and stay safe.
Just added Lyre River Campground to my bucket list and the northern most point on the contiguous 48. Gotta hurry on that trail thing, 67 n counting and the up and back portion may take me a minute, haha. Another great vid. Thanks! Safe travels, be blessed. Excited for our next stop in Eric's Summer of '22 Adventures.
I live within 45 minutes of Lyre river campground. Just east of Lyre River is Reynolds rd off the north side of highway 112. At the end of Reynolds road is a parking area and a lovely loop trail to the mouth of the Lyre River . It's a favorite surfing spot on the Straits of Juan De Fuca. P S, your wish for summer weather was granted. Blue skies and 80 degrees F. Thanks loads. I was enjoying the cloudy, wet, cool spring weather.
Thank you for taking us there to Cape Flattery - magnificent vistas of the sea & land. It sure is beautiful when the sun shines. 2 hours late for cats' dinner - Cat Papa, that's an eternity 🙂 according to kitty tummies 🙂 Keep talking to Tara & Opie - we do all the time with ours - & somehow, they (in our opinion, subjective) become "humanize" - like our human babes, almost. They instinctively know you & vice-versa. Thumbs up & safe travels!
Eric, we're at Long Beach TT and have packs of Camel coasters still in the wrapper that Don got at a convenience store years ago. They're yours if you want them. Let us know and we'll look for them. Can't remember where we stashed 'em and will dig thru our stuff if you want 'em otherwise they're going in the trash when we do find them. Let me know! ~Joyce
It's great to see you happy. 😁 I know you will always miss Jax. Tara & Opie will develop more character as they age... They always do! They each have their unique personalities & they will grow closer to you over time! 💕😽😘😽💕
I could see myself on my knees crying in pure joy over the awesomeness of his gift. Truly an honor to just have the chance to breath a single day on this beautiful world we call earth. May we all be blessed to get another day.
My wife and I visited Cape Flattery on the occasion of our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a demanding hike, but we did it OK. I was stiff and sore the next day, but the scenery was well worth it. That was something I had always wanted to do, so scratch it off the list!
PS- get yourself a nice insulated leather motorcycle jacket with tight sleeved cuffs. Can also get velcro ties for ankles. Most of the cold comes right up through your sleeves and ankles 👍
Great video. Beautiful views. Thanks for tolerating the cold for us. I think you should continue using the bike. It's got to be more fun. Tater is just comfier.
“See if I still fit!” 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣 This was beautiful!!!! Thank you for sharing this!!! I may get there in my lifetime but if not, thanks to you I’ve seen God’s beauty!!! 😘🌿🌊
HR of 168! At some point get yourself cardiac physical. Since you take such good care of your kitties don’t forget yourself. No need to share with us the results either. That’s your business. Just a check-up to see how you’re doing. Nuff’ said and great video, beautiful scenery, thank you as always Eric. Keeping it real!
I love Cape Flattery! It's so beautiful! Thanks for taking us along. You're in your element in Washington. I like that you have a smile on your face. All kitties have their own unique personalities. No two are alike. Jax was one of a kind. I miss him, too. Be safe, have fun.
It’s in the 80’s in Port Orchard now. Thank you for taking us along today to Cape Flattery. You know seaweed is in your ice cream. We always stepped on the seaweed pods, to hear them pop! Washington will always be home to me even though I live in CA now. TAke care and can’t wait to see your next spot. I hope to be in this area late July.
Eric, if you make it to ocean city stop by my fireworks stand. I will give you and anyone else that mentions Nomadic Fanatic a discount. We're located by the "S" curves, wood carvings and small grocery store. I'm looking forward to meeting you!!
I stayed there 4 yrs ago I. The site right across the road from you. Loved it. Took my bulldog wading in the river and have great memories of it. I’m going on a caravan trip to Alaska next year and plan to return through Bellingham and visit a good friend and Lyre river is on my list too.
I enjoy your videos and all the information you give. I am in love with your kitty cats, my sweet Noel passed in 2018 and I still miss her sweet face (she was part tabby and Siamese) Safe travels.
Great video. The motorcycle P.O.V of your ride to cape flattery would definitely have been awesome. The fish statue’s name there in sekiu is Rosie, erected 6/13/05 from what I could find she is the mate for the running fish statue Gil in the neighboring town of clallam bay WA.
Eric hi. I've been watching since you were back in film school. I haven't tuned in in a while. Now you're riding a Harley. Nice to tune in again. Glad you're doing well! Best wishes
I'm one of those rvers that's only tow vehicle is a dual Sport motorcycle .Better option than full on street bikes......When the pavement ends,my ride just begins......
We went to Cape Flattery today and man was it awesome! Drove past Lyre campground but what a great area. Thanks for the inspiration to get us out to see this gorgeous place.
I never been out of Ohio but if I did travel or could afford to, I would like to visit the northwest just from what I see in your videos. Also a big fan of Bonanza the TV show and would like to see the Navada side of lake Tahoe and sorrunding areas.
I'm born and raised in the northwest I've traveled to several states around the country including Hawaii and Alaska. I don't want to sound bias but I will say the Northwest has some of the most beautiful places I've ever been. And if you can make it to Reno, Lake Tahoe I totally suggest that too. I hope and pray you can make it out of Ohio one day.
Thanks for taking us along. Keep moving! You, me and lots of us are out of shape. We can get better!! I'm back at it; because the big garden is kicking my but.
Wow Eric... absolutely gorgeous! Washington has the most amazing views. Such a beautiful state. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Living on the east coast, I have often wondered what the northwest looks like. Simply beautiful! Safe travels Eric.👍😁
I live in Eastern Washington State, I had no idea there was a Northern Most Tip of the United States, that you could visit. How amazing! Absolutely Gorgeous!
OK Eric, it sounds like you’ve never heard of heated leathers? Great invention. Again, remember you’re in the northwest and it is cooler and it does rain. Quit worrying so much about a little bit of water. You do have a rain jacket pants and boots that you could be using to. Have a safe trip.
WOW....That is so so beautiful. Gosh I wish I could visit one day. Thank you for sharing the views and beauty of that area. Those kitties - love them. Would be nice to have a few pieces of the drift wood. But can you take any of that? Anyway again loved this one...safe travels!
Great video of that area! I was at Lyre River Campground (site #5) and Cape Flattery the summer of 2019. Gorgeous scenery all around there. I really miss spending summer on the Olympic Penninsula. Thanks for the memories of what it's like. Maybe I'll make it back there again one of these days....
It is beautiful!! Looks cold too lol!! The other way of looking at that no overnight camping sign is that more people coming through will be able to stop and walk and enjoy the view! 🥰🤷♀️
I support the dude who wants Harley ASMR for at least 10 min at the end of an upcoming video. Just the pipes rumbling dude. Backroads and nice scenery with the pipes.
Yay! You did it Eric! Wonderful video man those views were ridiculous. Now you need to find a good seafood restaurant and have some fresh fish and maybe fried oysters. Tara and Opie would love it! Summer, you want summer, I wish I could send you some of the heat from Phoenix. NOT, I wouldn’t want to wish this heat on anybody. Still waiting for one of your songs and hear you play that new guitar man!
Coolness!!, THE farthest point North West. Wondered bout that. Dad took us up to BC, by way of Port Angeles, but that's as far as I could get, at age 13.
Only trouble sharing these places --- is it encourages others to visit. Making it less availalbe for those who are already having a hard time finding places to go. Rain forests are not my idea of fun, I don't care for wet cold places. However, just from a visual beauty perspective....impressive...most impressive.
HEY. ERIC. I enjoy the bike rides with no music just the pipes rumbling. On your next ride can you capture around 10 minutes or more and put it on the end of your video I had two Harleys in 2005 and had to give them up due to disabilities.
Man, I’m all for this! I hope he sees this and does you some justice brother. I know there are other videos you could get that from but having the scenery also would make it pretty awesome. Good luck to you brother
Eric, please consider exercising more often. you are much to young to be that out of shape. You could be in tip top shape by eating a bit healthier adding more fruit and vegetables. that's not to say you can never eat your favorite foods just make sure to get your veggies first. I want to see you be able to continue to do what you Love doing. Sincerely, Louise
Very beautiful place!! Loved it! Thank you for sharing, because it's a experience I would of never had!! Stay safe!! Hugs, and Have a great week Eric, Tara, and Opie!! 😻❤😻
What a beautiful place, have always loved Lyre river location. We are gonna make it a point to see Cape Flattery when we get up that way at the end of the year. Thanks for sharing.
Eric. I looked on my Atlas for this place. Amazing at the very farthest tip and can’t travel on land any further What a million dollar campsite you and the kitties experienced Looks like a wonderful state to be in Enjoy

Love the chirps! 😻 Some of our cats are chatty, as well! Although, they haven't always been. They seem to become more so (& demanding) as they age! 😸😽
I went to cape flattery 12 years ago carrying my 2 year old daughter . It had just rained and the trail was more mud than trail. Still one of the prettiest places I’ve seen and well worth it.
There’s also a lighthouse out there on that island. One of 5 lighthouses on the Washington coast.

Pretty sure he was messing with us to get us going! 😼😹
The statue is called Gray Wolf and pups.

Cats are creatures of habit, so they're probably "hangry!" 😾 Watch out, Daddy! 😼

Beautiful campground and Jax was one of a kind. I still miss seeing him, but I was glad you showed Tara and Opie at the end.
Hey Eric from across the water there in Canada 🇨🇦 👋🏻
That's not the mainland you're looking at, it's Vancouver Island. Thanks for showing us the sign so I could check out Sekiu.
Jon in rural BC, Canada

Beautiful scenery Eric. I can see why you love coming back to the northwest. Can't wait to see where you are going next. Safe travels.
Wow what a beautiful spot. Reminded me of Peter Pan's Neverland 💕👍
never been to this campground but it's beautiful

This is why they call it Pacific Northwest amazing scenery as u said it would be cheers Eric
I'd say that it look like you were on the edge of the earth. Beautiful and such blue water.
Go on up to Canada. Hell - go all the way up to Alaska! I'd love to see someone drive that trip.
Wow Eric... absolutely gorgeous! Washington has the most amazing views. Such a beautiful state. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Living on the east coast, I have often wondered what the northwest looks like. Simply beautiful! Safe travels Eric.👍😁

Yep “it’s just the vest” 😏
Continental? Isn't Alaska on this Continent? I must have missed something.
Eric is right, he is talking about the lower 48 which is the continental USA.
Lyre River Camp Ground is beautiful! I'd love to visit it some day.
absolute gorgeous scenery reminds me of the movie Goonies that must have been where they filmed it.
Love ocean viewpoints!
It is beautiful!! Looks cold too lol!! The other way of looking at that no overnight camping sign is that more people coming through will be able to stop and walk and enjoy the view! 🥰🤷♀️
Thank you for sharing Cape Flattery with us! I almost moved to Washington State in March, totally regretting the decision now!
It's OK to miss Jax I miss my dog and hubby it takes time
Great surprise seeing a new video. ❤️👍🏻👍🏻. Breathtaking beautiful is an understatement. WOW.
Your videos are just getting better and better everyday. Thanks for sharing and as always stay safe, safe travels, and God bless love ya Nancy
I support the dude who wants Harley ASMR for at least 10 min at the end of an upcoming video. Just the pipes rumbling dude. Backroads and nice scenery with the pipes.
Maybe a series of separate videos like that would be something interesting & different! ASMR Harley ride along! 😸
So beautiful that it almost made me cry.
Yay! You did it Eric! Wonderful video man those views were ridiculous. Now you need to find a good seafood restaurant and have some fresh fish and maybe fried oysters. Tara and Opie would love it! Shared your video with some friends who are close by. Amazing trails and video footage. Summer is coming!
Very pretty area.Chin scratches for the Kitty's.
My sister lives in Port Angeles in a tiny house. I spent 2 weeks there last September. We visited all the campgrounds in the area.
Coolness!!, THE farthest point North West. Wondered bout that. Dad took us up to BC, by way of Port Angeles, but that's as far as I could get, at age 13.

Gorgeous! Thanks for showing this. Its 😍
HEY.
I was there with my kids and husband in 2017...(from the Netherlands)
Aww such lovely fur babies
Thanks for the beautiful ride. The ocean is gorgeous. Washington is a beautiful place. Take care of yourself, Tara and Opie.
Definitely a beautiful campground.
You can tell that everytime you think of jax it hurts very much. We love ya
Eric, Shoei makes a sweet flip-up full face helmet, had mine for 10 years now, great quality.
Such a beautiful place...just be careful at night in the woods 🪵 ❤️
That's clearly a wolf or coyote statue.
It is a wolf. The plaque right under it says Grey wolf and pups. 😂😂
Would love to visit there, love the kitty's

What a beautiful place, have always loved Lyre river location. We are gonna make it a point to see Cape Flattery when we get up that way at the end of the year. Thanks for sharing.
Eric. I looked on my Atlas for this place. Amazing at the very farthest tip and can’t travel on land any further
What a million dollar campsite you and the kitties experienced
Looks like a wonderful state to be in
Enjoy
