Lived in Wyoming for a few years, and much of my family is from that area. If you haven't yet, check out Thermopolis!!! Cool little fossil town snuggled in a valley of dormant volcanos, and the world's largest man made hot springs! It was quite the tourist hot spot (for WY) in the 70's-90's but is incredibly under appreciated now, small little gem town!

Thank you for the driving information. I am trying to get from Washington State where I was visiting a family member back east or any way out of here without having to go through treacherous terrain. In the past I drove from Wickenburg Arizona up 89 all the way to Glacier NP in Montana and I don't have the stomach for it again! I may just go all the way back down to I-10 to get to PA unless you can suggest a quicker way...at $5.50 a gallon!

My husband used to work off shore on a oil drilling rig. The "saucer" looking things are self propelled, self up-righting escape pods rather like a boat in case of emergencies. They motorized to help people get away from the drilling rig in case there is a disaster.

4:30 Yep. Those capsules are used on gas rigs and oil rigs to escape in the event of an emergency. I've also seen oval-shaped ones. I've never used one, but I know people who had to sit in them as they were let go into the ocean, for safety training.

Hey Eric. You should consider turning off your ground effect lights on your RV and trailer as you go to bed. Adding unnecessary light pollution can detract from the night sky for people who want to go to remote places for star gazing. It is not easy to find truly dark places at night so not adding superfluous lights can keep these areas more natural.

The big boot at L.L.Bean in Freeport Maine is much bigger than that sneaker. Even the mobile "Bootmobiles" are bigger. I think the shredded material is all Crocs, but I have no idea where they'd have come from. The survival capsules are modern enclosed lifeboats for ships.

I believe the person who said oil rig. Remember, only 2 or 3, maybe 4 guys went on the Apollo missions. Those are very clearly made for 10 or 12 or more people. Seats all around outside and in the center. Astronauts had to lay down while descending back to earth. Definitely not designed like that inside. Google or youtube would show old videos of space capsules. They ain't these.

Its pronounced poo-dur river. I've fished the hell out of that river when I lived near Denver 😂rivers are coming down fast, runoff season is just about over. I can't wait, that's when the really good fishing starts. I'm down in Durango Colorado now. I'm afraid Eric is too afraid of mountain driving to ever make his way down here though 😂 maybe if he came in from the south through New Mexico

Yep I giggled when I heard him try to pronounce Poudre. I'm headed to Durango next Thursday. Looking forward to Wolf Creek Pass. 😄

Have you ever thought about selling a booklet of the coordinates of the places you boondock over the years?
