The Raiders are Klatoonians of which one, named Barada was in Return of the Jedi. Also it's George Lucas paying homage to The Day the Earth Stood Still (Klatau Nikto Barada). Just a fun fact.
It didn't try too hard just to tell a good story or had the need to want to please anyone it just needed to tell a good story and that was all it needed to do
My favorite thing about the Mandalorian is how they kept themselves from telling the "Save the galaxy, all life everywhere is at stake!" overly big stories we kind of expect from Star Wars, and just did small stories. The life of a single child is at stake, and we care more about that than we do about the big story First Order blowing up a whole solar system.
Damn I love your videos. They bring the exact mix of genuine positivity and honest criticism I've been trying to find in the Star Wars community. Also you have such a great variety of interesting SW videos too. The new format is working very well for the review! Especially the world building section was very appreciated since that's one of the most interesting things about SW. I'd say one thing to improve is that you could do less explaining of what you're going to do instead of just doing it (by that I mean explaining the structure of your video). But this wasn't a big deal or anything, just came to my mind. Awesome job dude, can't wait to see what the future holds for your channel!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I’ll definitely take what you said about the structure into mind. These comments mean the world to me so thank you! I hope you enjoy what’s to come
Hey, just want to say I love how your how your channel is a Fandom Menace free safe space that also doesn’t shy away from constructively criticizing Star Wars for it’s flaws. In fact, you’ve definitely shown me that the sequels aren’t as bad as people say. Keep it up 👍
9:00 The culture and diversity of different worlds is one of the most important elements of StarWars and where the sequels went wrong. This is also one of the many reasons why The Manolorian is the best product StarWars has made in years. 🔥
Bro, you just single handily made me realize with 7 minutes and 36 secs that the reason Djin wants to regain his place with the children of the watch is so after they view him as mandalorian again they’ll follow him and with the dark saber and after he brings together the other mandalorians he can change all the rules and unite the entirety of his people.
Grogu isn't a real character because he's a baby- I love it!😂😂😂😂 Thank you for your honesty. I love little Grogu, but it's true. Babies don't really do a hella lot. They cry, sleep, pee, poop, and say goo goo ga ga (not really but you know what I mean).
i love all the lothecats showing up in the mando, really makes me think the show is silently calling to what the ashoka show is gonna follow, SW Rebels
Are you planning on doing best scene videos of the animated shows? I think it would be great! Doing one per arc would probably be too much but one per season I think would be great. Anyways all your content is amazing :)
Even as someone that loves all three seasons I can confidently say the first season is the absolute best A solid self-contained adventure that wasn't concerned with anything but itself.
And season 2 is great too! And not just cause of frickin O.G. Luke Skywalker turning up. Yeh sure season 2 Mando did feel alot like a kind of "fetch-quest" type series. But it's honestly cool Favreau made it like that because he was actually trying to set up a kind of branching out for future spin-off shows. Yeh the first season of Mandalorian is just awesome. From the moment it opened, and our mysterious Mandalorian character takes out a guy using the frickin door! That and the episode where the Jawas strip his ship and run off with ALL his parts lol; and he doesn't just go and kill them all (cause you know Fett would have in a heartbeat), there's this nice playful kind of thing that goes on, and Mando has to get this egg that they want, all just for the yolk which is a delicacy. Those are the two main things that had me hooked straight in, cause i was seeing grittiness, but also the show wasn't afraid to have nice, jokey kind of quirky comedic parts, which is alot like George Lucas's storytelling sensibilities. So it made me think, shit, this guy Favreau he get's it! He understands how George crafts starwars. I can't wait until Favreau get's to make his own starwars movie. With Favreau's experience as a solid director, and Filloni's immersive knowledge of Starwars lore and his storytelling skills, they make a great team.
Just because Andor was great… doesn’t mean Mandalorian is now bad. I hate what Disney has done as much as the next person but people who say this have a bad mentality.
Also Jon Favreau's use of the Volume is perfect in The Mandalorian. Kenobi over-uses it i think. But then that shows Deborah Chow's inexperience still.
What makes Star Wars for me has nothing to do with the characters or the action. It is the music. It emerges you into this world that makes YOU feel in a Galaxy Far Far Away.
Big Star Wars fan since seeing New Hope in the 70's but terribly disappointed in the releases after Empire. Fantastic review of The Mandalorian which captures and revives my love for the Star Wars franchise.
I think the first season is the best, for having no Cameo Characters, Like Bokatan, Ahsoka or Luke. Also, the beskar armor sucks, becase it doesnt have any colour, or paint, and it makes Mando invinceable.
I would highly recommend you to watch EFAP's take on the Mandalorian. You just might change your mind. I dont think that mandalorian or book of boba fett is good at all.
@@thegoldman25 Can you please tell me the points that he was wrong about? It sounds that you are just a salty fanboy who claps at the shining lights. "The Mandalorian Season 1... Why It's Great" ? The answer is simple. It is not great. It's a mediocre at best cowboy show, that has barely any good elements in there, but disney, with their utter garbage work with the Star Wars universe dragged down people's expectations to the level where anything that is not negative looks great. And of course there is baby yoda. Second season is better. Still not great. What makes a show great is the story that it wants to tell. Mandalorian fails at that.

The design of the raiders in Chapter 4 is corny, but it’s pulled pretty much directly from ROTJ so I think it works.

The TIE Fighter comment wasn’t quite right. We have actually seen this before, with slight alterations, in the Rebels series
I miss when this show had charm. Before it became The Cameo Show in S2 and about the New Republic and retaking Mandalore in S3.
