We love out Spirit 1 - bought it a couple of years ago for our large dinghy that we use as tender to our 24' sailboat on strong tidal waters for day/weekend sailing. It's great - so quiet and the battery has never got anywhere low for our uses. We've even yesterday tried it with our dinghy lashed alongsode our 1500kg sailboat and we were able to push both up and down the harbour (light tides and wind), but it sadly wouldn't be enough to get our sailboat out over the sandbar. We'd really (REALLY!) love it if you came out with a 2kw version with detatchable battery we could drop in our sailboat's well and then we can get rid of our 5hp petrol main propulsion outboard. With our boat on a swing mooring and no marina access sadly the Navy 3/heavy battery option wouldn't work for us as we would struggle to recharge, but if the was a 'Spirit 2' as the other poster suggested we could take the battery and outboard home with us to recharge (and buy a 2nd battery for more range etc if we need to go further).
But honestly - for those looking for a 1kw/3hp your Spirit 1 is highly recommended - we were so amazed it could move both out dinghy/sailboat for our 'test' yesterday. But we'd be very glad if there was a Spirit 2 coming soon (hoping so)

We need a spirit 2.0. Lose the cables! (Like on the new torqeedos) And a bigger battery.
I am waiting for that to happen, than i buy one.
