    My favorite Soto story is when one of his Minor league coaches told him to upgrade from the air mattress he was sleeping on and Soto was basically just like “nah, I’m not gonna be around here long enough to need a real bed”

      @@trippyson8902 Juan Soto: When I was promoted to AA I was sleeping on an air mattress. The manager we had told me: "It's a long season, we want you to sleep on a regular bed" then I told him: "Don't worry, I won't be here for a long time", 7 days later I was called up to the Majors.

    Soto is an outstanding hitter. The eye discipline, the ability to hit to all fields, the power. Guy can be one of the greats if everything goes his way.

    I’m here after his homer in the ALCS. hearing how dominant this guy was in these minors and watching him lick his lips at pitches from a top notch reliever like Gaddis with two outs, two strikes… I have no words

    Soto is probably one of my favorite current players in the league right now.
    But as someone who loves and wants to play baseball for a living, it's hard not to think it's impossible when you're not someone as talented as Soto

    • @passdagabagoul4369
      @passdagabagoul4369 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s not easy. Unfortunately, unlike basketball, which has opportunities to be a professional in practically every country, opportunities in baseball are far more limited. This doesn’t mean you can’t do it though.

      @Falllll 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      If it helps, Soto's one of the best hitters in the game and a good candidate for a record breaking contract. You do not need to be nearly as talented as Soto to go professional. He's been around 80% better than the league average hitter this season. That means that there are guys out there who are about half as good as Juan Soto at hitting a baseball and still professional position players. Some of them are even considered good/decent players, usually by virtue of their ability to play defense.
      That said it's still nearly impossible. But I hope you make it.
