Fazer Outrun (a little bit of fun / experimentation - Outrun style running video.

I've been wanting to try something like this for a while, but never really figured out how to get an 8 bit effect (without buying some plugin) in Final Cut Pro. This is my latest attempt. I know it's not that accurate, but I'm nevertheless pleased with end result. I find the best way to get better at editing is to experiment.
For the speed meter, the only way I could work out how to do it was by creating a stream of very short duration titles and changing the digits on each one. Likewise for the score. There is probably a better and more efficient way of doing it. I had planned on resizing the video to a more suitable aspect ratio, but had problems getting it to work properly. Hence the 16:9 and the text overlay being in the wrong positions. 😅
I originally planned to use the proper music, but TH-cam's Content ID system is not recognizing the music, so I've had to improvise. This BGM kinda has the same vibe as the original.
