Somehow the two don't conflict with one another- I mean, sure you have the moments where you can hear one melody over the other, but then they come together to equally clash it out. Like any good Hunt, it is a dance of death between the orchestrated and the metallica that is DOOM and BloodBorne.
The DOOM version is obvious louder, but yes. They work well. The beautiful epic sarrow of the original, and the brutaltality of the rock works so well.

It's not often I hear a song and tear up. Fromsoft music does it the most consistently, and this is no different. To me, it invokes an emotion I haven't felt since the first time I listened to Ludwig, The Holy Blade.
Really didn't like this at first. I got to the chorus out of curiosity, but oh my GOD am I glad I did. Both versions compliment eachother so well, I want this in the game!
