For you: • KEN HERON - DJI Phanto...
Not boring at all. I'd like to thank you back Ken. Educating and entertaining at the same time. Great job. Thanks! Sorry about mess'n with you a couple of times in the comments.... I'm not actually sorry but just trying to finish on a high note.
Thanks for the high note Dale!
I'm so glad you enjoy the videos.
Always fun and entertaining watching your videos. Thanks Ken, keep up the good work!
Well Ken, I think you may not imagine, but you have portuguese followers to your videos... I leave in Portugal and you were the push I needed to start flying drones... Thanks for being who you are...
That's so great!
Thank you for letting me know, Paulo. I love the Portuguese people!👍
Ken you're awesome! I love your videos and special thanks toElliot Franco for your service and sending Ken the nice gifts! NYPD is the the best in the world. I am a tail dragger pilot in Austin Texas who recently got his 107 Commercial sUAS license. I am learning so much from you and love your presentation style!
Thanks Ken!!!
So glad you're enjoying the channel bud!
Thanks Ken I love your videos. I am a Mavic owner for 8 months now and I got a lot of techniques from your awesome shots.
Thanks!
Ken, I once heard someone say that our Norman Wisdom was loved because of the happiness he brought, well you are clearly loved and appreciated very much just like him. Thank you. Robert Kelly.
Thanks for the positive comment, Robert!
That is the MOST conservative flying I've ever seen you do!! Very impressed!! Must have driven you crazy not to do any loops or flying through any openings. Great self control!! I mean I KNOW it was a customer and all but wow, still impressed!!! VERY well done!!
NGKF... the company that fired me to cover up their beer drinking, violent mood swings on the job, and unsafe work conditions. I hope you got paid really well for shooting a video for them.
The irony is, I'm watching this video as a result of them, thus starting my own arial business. Thank you for sharing. Your tips and comments are very helpful. And I love the personalized touches on the drone and goggles.
Wow! That's kinda ironic.
Best of luck with your biz!
Ken, just found your channel a couple of days ago, and I must say every video I watch I love you more. Thank you so much for these, I am learning a lot.
Thank you for taking a moment to let me know!
I'm glad to help any way I can.
Wow. Thanks for the lesson. this clearly shows how things are different here in East Africa.
You're welcome!
What's different?
Hey Ken. I'm digging your vids. Fellow Nashville-its here. Well, Gallatin to be more exact. I'm glad you are teaching all this from TN, because it makes your vids all the more applicable to me, being also in TN. I've owned a drone for a whole 3 days now. (Phantom 3 Pro) I Did some stuff with it in Mississippi already, for a big house. Stoked about the future! Thanks for all your vids! Now, learning about getting my P. 107 Cert.
Thank you, Ken, for putting out these videos. They're always entertaining to me, sometimes I learn more than I laugh, other times I laugh more than I learn, but there's always a little bit of both. Except that one sad video.. still, to me it feels like it all comes from the heart, so just please keep doing that.
Buh and bye😉
Great video Ken ! Good to see a real paying job and your approach to it....
WOW! Thanks for the mention... Enjoy the trinkets.
That was a real nice thing to do, I was enjoying the stuff you sent to Ken lol
I live in Texas but am from LI
Hey, I check your channel and saw the drone vs hawk video, oh my! that was close man, drone pilots must see that!
That was really cool.
Very nice of you my friend, lots of good people in our community.
Elliot Franco pretty cool of you to send him stuff. NYC is the best. I'm in SE Massachusetts. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the city!
Cool video, Ken! I just acquired a used Phantom 3 Pro for my first drone. Can't wait to take it out this weekend and fly it!
Congrats Brandon! Have fun.
Awesome video, thank you Ken Heron
Thx for sharing. A few tips/remarks. You did a good job covering the building. However the sun was still way too high which explains why the walls of the building look so dark. IMO since you mentioned the owner had a special interest in the truck loading zone, I would have done a POV shot of the path a truck would take from the entrance to the dock. Also unless I missed something I don’t get the title of the video. It sounded like a warning... But it seems I missed what you were earning us about. Thx again
Watch again.
I am working towards purchasing a Phantom 4 and getting the part 107 license. This is a great video for anyone looking to get started making money with their UAS. I don't think there are many licensed operators in my area so hoping business will be plentiful.
Sounds like you've got a plan!
Big fan Ken! That commercial work was excellent. Gives me inspiration.
Wow Ken, this is something I have been thinking about trying to get into. This video will help a ton, thanks for sharing.
Glad to do it.
Best of luck!
Hey ken, thanks for the videos I am a photographer/videographer. In just a couple of minutes I have learned more about drone flying and what I need to get in order to be certified here in the state of TN. You are much appreciated!
Loved the horse and cart on the road at about 1:30.
I used to drive a horse and cart here, and it was fun, but a wee bit on the slow side :) .
Yeah, we have lots of Amish people here.
Ahhh, of course :) .
Thanks for that.
Hi mr ken. I from indonesia always watching your amazing aerial video. Good job mr ken.
Thank you Goweta!
You are a hoot! I enjoy your videos as usual... thanks, your friend
Much appreciated Winslow!
Yet another awesome video. I manage to learn something every time you post. Keep rocking it. BTW,nice horns!
Learning is fun.
ever since was a kid loved rc. great to see responsible drone pilots and having fun with hobby. do you fly reguler rc planes.. if you find out the drone pilot tring to film a jet landing in henderson nevada and posted it on face book.faa looking for him. great job on your channel
That was a great video Ken. He be happy with that job you did for sure. Thank's my friend.
it's amazing how a simple-subject video can look so well. Great work and music, we adore your videos!!! Great wishes from all of our team at the far far away state of Israel.
Thanks so much Israel!!
I just love watching your videos! Keep up the awesome job!
just love this channel ....good quality videos
I am a soon to be drone owner BUT before I spend that kind of money I want to make sure I know wtf I am doing or else I could end up on the wrong end of the law. I just want to say thanks man, out of all the videos on here yours are the most informational, yeah the drone footage is killer but I ONLY subbed because you are also hilarious!! Thanks again, peace!
Welcome to the channel Bill!
Great job Ken.
I learn a lot from you...drone flying you funny and I love watching your videos
Rudolph from Trinidad.
Thank you Rudolph!
If you have cool video from Trinidad, share it with me here: kenheronupload@gmail.com
Your videos definitely make me want to buy a drone. I've wanted one since they were made. Your video came out amazing for the property. How long does a battery last? Which kind of drone do you use? Thanks!
Thanks Ken, I've been studying for my part 107 test. Seeing your 107 card really inspired me. Really appreciate it!
Have a great 4th of July.
Safe flying!
Great Steve! Good luck with the test.
Nice video Ken. A lot of people don't realize that using drone footage in monetized TH-cam videos is also considered commercial use according to the FAA.
Very true. "In furtherance of a business" as they would say.
Ken Heron yep, what a lovely term. Before I got my part 107, I got a call from the FAA because I done drone footage of a farmer harvesting rice (all for fun) ...supposedly it furthered his business lol
Okay that truly helped. Got some great ideas watching this. Want to go try some of those maneuvers at my favorite practice location. I keep studying and waiting to save up the fee for the Part 107. Great work sir, thanks again.
Another interesting video Ken. Nice to see what it's like to do a commercial shoot. In Canada to do any commercial work you need an SFOC (Special Flight Operations Certificate) the fine for doing work without one is $3,000.00 or about $2,315.00 US. Too much for me.
WOW! Canada just doesn't like drones. Dang.
Yeah, I finally get my drone and 2 weeks later Transport Canada basically shut us down in most areas.
Nice brother, thanks for sharing
how much is the Standard rate for that kind of work Ken? thanks godbless
Awesome once again mate
Hi Ken thank you for that awesome video.!
Really enjoy your vids. Thanks for the info, humor and overall professionalism.
Thanks for the nice comment Brad!
Hi Ken. Nice video, I'm picking up tips on angles etc, thanks. Take care. Peter.
Awesome!
loved your vido i am not licends or have a 107 how did u start too get your concats
Wow very nice instruction. I knew those wires were going to be a hazard.
I have been posting my videos and pics on Facebook in my area with a good response. I have had offers to do work in the area but I don't know if I want to make it a job as I am having so much fun with it!
In the UK, we are not allowed to use FPV headsets and have to have physical line of sight of the SUA at all times, up to 500m from the pilot in control. What are the rules where you are, Ken?
We can use goggles as long as we also use LOS a bit and have a Visual Observer.
Ken, Thanks for the video buddy. Great work walking us through the process. Being some what of a fixed wing pilot, mentioning the preflight planning did my heart good. I unfortunately don't own a drone yet, but when I rotate back home the Mavic Pro will be my retirement present to myself. Cheers,
Thanks bud!! Happy retirement!
Great job Mr Ken 🤓
Thanks!
Great video. Thanks for all the great content.
J C .... It's like looking in the mirror... I must be your English brother. Spooooky . I've got loads and loads of planes and Quadcopters but I don't have the skill to take video like you, it's awesome, very interesting to watch all the way through. Good luck for your future. Andy.
Thanks Andy! Same to you.
Happy 5th of July, Ken Charles! That's some fantastic looking rear loading docks!
Some of the best loading docks ever!
Since you have an Inspire have you tried using those goggles for the second camera operator controller?
Hey ken, I see you use fat shark, can you tell me we're I can find a complete walk through on how to connect the djI goggles to a phantom 4 this would be very helpful , as my goggles should arrive soon . Can't find any videos on a step by step hookup, with film wear etc... thanks much and keep up the good work,
Thank you Charles!
Maybe this will help: th-cam.com/video/uoOMThLZXQk/w-d-xo.html
I learn a lot from your drone fly..... Thank you very much.... Awesome job done .. I think you cover everything as per client requirement and looks great....👍😀👏👏🤘
Thanks Rajesh! Glad to help.
Happy 4th Ken!
You are the Drone King.
Thanks!
Now I need to find a drone QUEEN!
Go to San Francisco.
This is good stuff. Educational and mildly funny. : )
Looks good Ken...
Wow, you can't hide anything from the drone. You can see as soon as it's in the air that they have a drainage problem along the south and south west side of the building. It looks like the water got high enough to flow over the curbs. Looks like a neat way to make a living.
Thanks again for the interesting and informative video with your touch of wit and wisdom thrown in for good measure.
What's your radio station. I'd love to stream it and hear what you sound like on the "other" profession.
Thanks! thefarmradio.com
But it's not worth listening to.
OK. I won't. Well maybe just once.
Great video and tips for creating a professional aerial Ken. I hope you get more paid work.
Me too Steve!
This is my second video of yours that I've watched, the first was of that amazing house in TN, I am so excited about becoming a licensed drone pilot. Thanks so much.
Thanks and welcome to the channel. Happy flying!
@@kenheron I appreciate that, so what drone do you use, drone darts is recommending the Mavic 2 for doing weddings, real estate, and roof inspections, and is there a business that you recommend to teach you how to fly a drone commercially. I'm thinking about using dart drones in Atlanta GA, being as though I live in Mobile AL, It's about the closest place I know of, then again I've just recently started researching this as a small business opportunity. Last question, I hope I'm not getting on your nerves, but there are free videos on TH-cam that go over the 107 course needed to get a license, and then there are online courses charging $170 and up, do you have a recommendation there as well. Thanks in advance, and I look forward to your next video.
great video
Great video ken! How about a video of how you hand it off? I’m guessing you don’t pull the card out of the drone and just hand it to them? Might seem like a silly question but I’m both slow and new! 😂 keep up the good work
maybe if someone asks if you’re allowed to fly for money or something he has it to show them
I'm studying for my 107 right now. Have a job lined up to do some drone shots for a documentary on wild horses. Thanks for your video channel. Love your enthusiasm. giddy-up!!
That's great! Here's a video I did with some horses, if you're interested: th-cam.com/video/JtOqhTRhPvg/w-d-xo.html
good follow at the end of video. tracking is what I need to work on. my thinking is to put a 45mm lens on so I can get close ups without spooking the horses and learn how to Track with that. thanks for the link. I see you wearing your googles down there. got mine on order.
I guess I'm missing the part where you have to take a test??? According to the FAA registry I went to, you select either recreation or business/commercial, pay $15 when checking out, they email you certified documents to print as proof of registration.
I was referring to the FAA 107 test for commercial drone flying.
Thats what I was talking about to. Before you pay, its asks you for either recreational or commercial. It said nothing about having to take a test for business or commercial.
Amazing...
great video, thanks
Enjoy your vids, peace from Columbia TN
Thanks Elizath!
Thanks for the tips for establishing shots! I'm lacking the cinematography part in my vids
You bet Jorge!
Great info Ken. As always it makes my day
Awesome video dude! I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a Mavic 2 pro, have a couple jobs lined up via a wedding photographer friend, and think I could make it worthwhile as a side gig, anyway, thanks to you guys giving us noobs a glimpse into the industry.
You're very welcome Jeremy!
Glad to help.
Best of luck with your venture!
Awesome video.
Just curious, for business, is a spotter required?
Nice job Ken
Congrats on 18k subs Ken, I knew you would be big 👍🇺🇸🧀🔦
Thanks so much Al!
Exciting times.
Guy, you are hilarious! Hey, you are officially my favorite drone buddy on TH-cam. Love the comics...👌👏🤣
Thanks so much!
Happy Fourth of July Ken!
Hey from one Ken H. to another, I love your vids, your sense of humour and your political incorrectness is a breath of fresh air. I’ve just got into Drone flying in the UK and I’m loving seeing how y’all do it in our old former colonies. You make me laugh so much I’ve almost forgiven you for independence. I have learned tons of stuff from you and I just wanted to say thank you and keep up the great work.
Thanks!
🇬🇧👍
I don't know if you were told to pay attention to the docks you should have flowen then in a sideways fashion. That's just me. I do enjoy your videos.
Great video, excellent footage ✈️😊
Very informative video, Ken. Thanks for the tips!
Very good
Excellent video dude. Happy 4th July - down with the British! And that's from the UK!
HAA!! I think tea tastes better with harbor water!!
Great video. 👍
Thanks Ben!
Good on you Mate, and hi from Melbourne Australia, Say if you are droneing over lol.
I'll be in Sydney sometime this year perhaps. 👍
@@kenheron catch up cool
That was pretty cool. What does one charge for something like that if you dont mind me asking?
Thanks!
Prices fluctuate depending on market size. Check out the competition in your area and adjust your prices accordingly.
#53 Thumbs Up and NO- repeat NO- Thumbs Down thus far. At least I thought it was interesting, Ken. Very Useful once I find the time to get the license.
Very good! So glad your thumbs are UP.
The best part my day was discovering your channel!!! Loving it :)
Great! Welcome Craig!
Ken, what is a fee range for this mission...understanding that every market is different.
Check your local competition, then set your prices accordingly.
Ken, great videos. Do you have any videos for help for us startups regarding marketing mainly local seo stuff? Its insanely confusing and costly. Any help is much appreciated. Keep on flying and teaching the masses!
Thanks!
Maybe this:
th-cam.com/video/vpUeevt03RE/w-d-xo.html
You got some great shots in there bud, Always nice to get some gifts from fans, Any chance you can do a video on how to deal with exposer, ISO settings and stuff like that, If you have done that already my bad.
th-cam.com/video/G2OdoK1pMxg/w-d-xo.html
@@kenheron Thank you, Will have a look now.
3:24 of course, it would have been nice to shoot some footage of a track backing up at the loading docks 😇
What kind of filters (if any) did you use on the shoot? The sky came through nicely.
Thanks! I used a Polar Pro ND-8 filter.
Glad to hear that! I just invested in the Polar Pro set, but haven't gotten them into the air yet. I can't wait for a clear day when I have off!
BTW, I just passed the 107 temp cert is in hand and am eagerly awaiting the permanent one.
Thank you for the videos, you do nice work!
Great video!!
DRONE TOURISM could be another area where one may be able to make money with Drones, one could get permit from the city/county to fly drone around a historical monument or something like that (for e.g. Statue of Liberty in NYC), then let tourist enjoy the flight wearing VR Headset, they get an immersive FPV experience & feel as if they are really flying! along with this the Operator may offer to take 'Dronies (Drone Selfies: photos + videos)' for the tourists and give it to them on a memory card, so that tourist may share it on there social media. Drone Operator may charge per flight/person or offer a package (FPV + Dronies). Wouldn't it be better than hiring a helicopter.. City/county can earn revenue from issuing monthly/quarterly 'Tourist Site Permits (TSP)' to drone operators and this would be a great way to generate employment opportunity for the City/County. Permit issue process may be automated on the lines of 'FAA drone registration' process via dedicated website or app. The drone operators can make money and be self-employed, with secured business, as the tourist footfalls are assured and they don't have to do any marketing to find business. Drone Operators can start with entry level drones that are suitable for this type of work and upgrade as an when there earnings increase. What are your thoughts about this idea? Keep up the good work.. Thanks.
Found a brilliant example of Drone Tourism!! Please see - th-cam.com/video/vDVfYvMxZtI/w-d-xo.html
While a spotter is a great idea and provides extra eyes while flying it is not required under Part 107 only 333.
Aeroworks Productions no you need a VO or visual observer to fly legaly under 107.
Great video. Ken where did you find the mini hdmi to mini hdmi cable?
+Ray Lugo Thanks!
That cable comes with the Fatshark goggles. You can also find one on Amazon.
Ken Heron Thanks Ken found them. Just order them. 👍👍
Awesome video Ken, I enjoyed all!!!
Great!
As a Pilot you did an awesome job making the video. As an owner of property management company I think the client should have spent some money cleaning the place up a little and some paint here and there.Grass growing in the parking lot. Water puddles on the roof. lol Video is great though
Thanks!
hey dude, that drone is goldmine ;), wish U good jobs!
Thank you Juergen!
Ur welcome!
