Like the comment above you said you can literally just play it like a normal JRPG and you wouldn't notice anything and honestly? Making Firion a weaponmaster, Layla an evasion tank, Guy a bruiser tank, Maria a healer/archer and Leon a draining/magic focused damage dealer was easily the most fun I've had in a JRPG to date and yes I've played FF VII and VIII. Especially considering how the WOL in the first game was a blank slate and considering that this is the second game in the series the first one to introduce main characters without blank slates I think you set your expectations too high for that. And the party dying actually made the story more engaging to me by actually driving home just how powerful The Emperor actually is. I don't understand the lack of love for 12. The gamit system was pretty innovative for its time and I personally loved it. It was actually the last one I really enjoyed.
Nah i think perfect is as it should be. The best. In other words FFX is the best out of any Final Fantasy game and I will heavily debate this with anyone.

XV was the first Final Fantasy i ever played. Man, the interactions between the gang, seeing the little cutscene before sleeping, giving them good morning, the Regalia, beautiful world and amazing characters. There was some point, i was saying "bless you" to Gladio everytime he sneezed. That game made me feel that i was part of the adventure, just because of this feeling, i didn't want to make to the end. I stuck myself for at least five months, before creating courage to finish the game. And i knew i wasn't ready to finish when i cried when i saw the wrecked Regalia, it get's me till today.
@@Karkus_de_calcinhaIt's considered one of the worst if not the worst main entry and for good reasons. It was my first FF game too and i didn't enjoy it too much, i did like the same you mentioned in your comment as in the main characters and the interactions between the party, but the rest? Hell nah, probably the worst hack and slash type combat i've ever experienced (i play a lot of that kind of games) enemies barely react to your attacks and do absurd amounts of damage so 60% of my combats were getting one shotted, incapacitated and using potions to get back in the fight, especially with bosses. The story felt way too rushed and you can tell they changed the direction mid way (Development hell, and it SHOWS) chapter 13 was a pain and chapter 14 is also rushed and too short. Lastly the optimization on PC, when entering combat the game had heavy stutter issues, i had to download a mod that supposedly fixes it but barely (at least for me) so yeah my experience with that game was more bad than good, then i played FF7 Remake and i was ready to destroy it if it disappointed me in the most miniscule thing, and thankfully it wasn't the case, it was way better, now i'm finishing OG 7 and then i'm gonna play 6
@@sir_redgrave.sdt86 in my case, i didn't care much about the story, i cared more about the open world and traveling betwen the citys. Yes, it's considered the worst Final Fantasy, but yeah, i'm not caring about that. If the game made me play it for hours, it's a good game in my vision.

I feel like Im one of the few people who likes ff13 it's not the best but I loved the graphics and music and the story was complicated but it had its moments that makes me teary eyed.
The main issue was how linear it was, to me 13-2 was the best of the 3 because 13-3 went back to being linear but this time with a time limit, 13-2 allowed you to travel back and forward to areas or timelines you previously visited allowing for better exploration
13-2 and LR was alright (especially LR), but 13 is one of the worst FF game. Only one FF game was more bad than this and that game is 10-2. 13 was just bad, but 10-2 i just want to banish from existence.
@@WittyCorvian I agree 13-2 was much better and was very enjoyable. But 13 is linear but if you don't mind it, than it's not that bad I feel like ff 10 also has linearity but ppl don't give it flak so ig it's really comes too preference but I loved 13. I like the idea of having dislikable cast and seeing them grow into better ppl it was new and fresh.
@AerionTargaryen 98 10 had it's linearity sure, but this all changes after Zanarkand where you can revisit places you previously went to for things you missed with the airship, this is why 13 gets so much flak and 10 doesn't so much, i don't mind linearity if the whole game isn't linear or the story is compelling, 13 had a story that i didn't exactly care about, 10 had the best story that i have seen from any ff game aside from 14 (currently doing my 1st playthrough of 6 so could be subject to change)
Ff8 fisherman, balamb garden and world music are so calming. I still listen to it. I like ff9 and ff10 music too. Although i rly rly hate ff13 i do like some of the music from it too.
Eyes on me alone win that award. It was close if not THE first lyrical song to play to gameplay. The Extreme perfectly encapsulates what Final Fantasy used to be.
@@nathank2289 The Extreme might be the greatest ost I've ever heard lol, it's very very powerful and has a lot of emotion for being a final boss music. It literally tells a story in itself while being a BANGER and having no words at all.
good story plot too, but there are questions that never got an answered like how the hell does squall survive struck in his chest by blizzaga and fell down but overall it was a great game my fave too
@jinsilverknight899 Most likely, it's an after effect of Ellen's power. Laguna says that when the dreams happen, his team gets a sudden power boost. So sudden healing isn't that much of a stretch.
@wesleytaule1766 Not only battle, also the overworld, but what’s most important to me: No interesting story, no interesting characters, everything seems bland and generic to me.
"FFXV may have problems but it also has an irreplicable essence, its universe and its characters are something that you will not find in any other FF or in any other existing game." I said this in another comment. FFXV is a beautiful journey that I wish I could relive it like the first time. The main characters, despite still being tropes, are incredibly realistic (that is not common in FF), so over time you somehow end up feeling part of Noctis's group and his friends. Really a beautiful game
Final Fantasy XV, out of all the Final Fantasies I’ve played, is ranked rather low (I and II being lower), but I will give credit where credit is due. As you’re exploring, when Noctis and his group begin to talk to each other at random times, it honestly makes them seem so much more lifelike and real. I absolutely love that part of the game, and though I haven’t played much of it, Final Fantasy XVI and VIIR don’t seem to have that kind of feel to it. Also Ardyn’s motives were so valid. He had every right to be utterly upset.

I'm planning on playing Final Fantasy 6 for the 1st time soon
Probably the most accurated ranking I've seen
Can't talk about xv, bought it but haven't played it yet
Ya know, I can't really think of any other franchise where the expectations for each game are so high, that a B- or a C are considered abysmal failures.
Ff2 and ff13 are far from being bad games imo, but when compared to all the others in the series boy do they struggle
8 was a masterpiece, I don't care what anyone thinks 🤷🏿
FFX was my first ever FF game so I’m biased by saying FFX is the best FF game of all time… followed by FFX-2
Unpopular opinion: 13 is better than 12. Change my mind.
The disrespect to 12 is so annoying
Such a classic man
0:14 I like when he said it two times in two final fantasys in a row
I don't understand the lack of love for 12. The gamit system was pretty innovative for its time and I personally loved it. It was actually the last one I really enjoyed.
is homelander above the goat or is the goat above homelander?
Goat above Homelander.
Nah i think perfect is as it should be. The best.
In other words FFX is the best out of any Final Fantasy game and I will heavily debate this with anyone.
Homelander is above them all. Second is Goat. Third is WOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I will take an "I mean it's alright" for 8, as an 8 stan. You are safe, for now.
Playing through ff6 as an adult reminded me of playing chrono Trigger as a kid
Still cant beat the feeling of playing ff7 when i was 10 years old it was such a unique experience for me and my first introduction to steampunk worlds
FFXV is one of the greatest games of all time…. How dare you!?
People need to put more respect on XV. Idc what people say, it's a GOAT game
Same for XIII
Final fantasy 6 is the game that has the most potential for a remake.
If FFXII have one fan, i am this fan.
If FFXII dont have any fans, i just dont exist.
12 is just alright? You're kidding right?
Totally agree with 13 though
The combat is trash
@@efinate002 nope
Shit
@@efinate002 no
I'm currently upto FF12 and yes 4 and 6 were amazing.
I completely agree with Final Fantasy 4 -7.
Ff1,2,3,4,5: I dont play
Ff6: Perfect
Ff7:Very Perfect
Ff8: ... i hate the gameplay
Ff9: A masterpiece
Aside from FF8 i agreed
It was my first FF, so I might be biased by nostalgia, but XIII being a piece of dog sh*t is bs
Do people really hate 13 that much ? Like I thought it was great and beautiful music . And 15 is a great game too .
So can someone help me understand which one is better between "It was Perfect" and "The GOAT" lol
After playing Stranger of Paradise FF1 is even more 🐐
Just called 12 “alright”
Ffxiii wasn't bad at all it just needs a remake to fix that.
To me FF 3 is the goat because I played with my friends and let me tell you this: I've created an yggdrasil of lore for our characters that link other games as well, including beyond FF series lol
Played FFVII 2022 then FFVIII in 2023 now FFIX in 2024
X's fine, just dump Tidus and Rikku, you have almost a game, they just need like a world and less hallways with some teleports
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is pretty good
This fandom stay sleeping on 12.
Like to this day I still don't understand why they have numbers
This is my favorite rating system that makes some sense 😂😂
675 likes and no replies? Lemme fi- JK I'm not that guy
@MasonFoosPro-jw7rg Don't worry you can be 676 😉
I can't tell which GIF is more positive , which denotes a higher rating : The one where Homelander said it was perfect or the one where that guy screams it's the GOAT
@@AndreiSorin1994I personally think the goat is the highest one. And the highlander perfect is a close second.
Is charlie hyping higher than homelander?
As the one FF2 fan in the entire world, that hurt.
I've always really enjoyed FF2, I thought the leveling system was pretty unique. And HIGHLY exploitable lmao. Story was fun too
I liked it better than the OG TBH.
Wait there's a nother fan beside me 😢
What are you talking about? I am the one and only!
@@evanias1822 FFII fans gotta stick together, there isn't many of us.
I feel sorry for you if 15 is the first final fantasy you ever played
@@andyloaeza8476 why would you feel sorry?
@@Karkus_de_calcinha yeah i understand, if you had fun with it then that's what matters. So far FF7 Remake is my favorite and i'm gonna replay it as soon as i finish the original which i'm very close (still waiting for Rebirth on PC)
Final fantasy 6 is still one of those games I wish I could experience for the first time.
Can you play it on ps4?
Dude do you recommend it?
Time to download it and actually play it through.
@@malikjohnson8459 they put it on the playstation store along with the first 5 games a few months ago
@@xxalphawolfxx9271 I’d recommend playing it and more. It’s a life changing experience. Wish I could relive playing ff6 for the first time again.
Final fantasy 16 joins the chat:
"The only Fantasy here is you, and we'll be its Final witnesses"
Edit:
Thanks guys for the respectful chatting i'm Happy other people loved the game as much as me☺️
Idk... it was kinda like that Dark Knight Rises, "My name is Robin" moment if you catch my drift.
It's the biggest piece of dogshit
- John Final Fantasy
16 was poopie
@@mitchkupietz for some things yes, for lots of others no.
Dlc was not as good as expected but I really enjoyed the game for some boss fights and the music arrangement
Final fantasy XVI “it was perfect everything down to the last minute detail”
So true bestie
I legit cried for two days when it was done. That game is just a masterpiece.
Hard disagree but okay
It's the only thing that has made me cry, masterpiece @@LukaMarie7
The story man. The story
The 8 and 15 disrespect is crazy
I was just about to leave a comment and say FF8 was truly fire. It was before it’s time ;)
XV is an unfinished game but it's not bad, I really like VIII but it doesn't compare to VI, VII, IX and X, those are the best in the series
ff8 is trash 😂
8 is ass in my opinion personally
@@sonysfan19992 ffX not so good either what you talking about?!
XII is the goat don't @me
Finally someone with good taste lol
A wise human
FFX is the GOAT
It’s my favourite FF game
@@CrownedJulz I think you mean Hume 😉👍
I love 15 for the open world and the monsters look so badass. 6 is my favorite. I feel tactics was a tiny underrated also
That’s what I’m saying
Tactics probably the most underrated game in history. I love it so much
Tactics is absolutely GOAT-level.
Currently playing 15 and holy fucking shit this game is slow as fuck and what the fuck are these car mechanics 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
@@originalvox2530 yh 10-2 was a steamy pile of crap, but i would if i may, like to add 12 to that list of stinkers
People really sleep on 12 frfr
Can’t wait to play it. I’m going through all of them from 1-Strangers of Paradise.
Definitely one of the better ones.
@@brotbrotsen1100 it just came out at a bad time. If it was released on the PS3 as a launch title it would be revered
FF12 is the only mainline game that I keep replaying multiple times. I just love the world and the combat system is really fun.
It's one of my favourite games next to Persona 5 and Resident Evil 4.
FF8 is extremely underrated. It also has the best music of any FF, and maybe the best OST of any game tbh.. bangers left and right and never misses.
It literally tells a story in itself while being a BANGER and having no words at all.
good story plot too, but there are questions that never got an answered
like how the hell does squall survive struck in his chest by blizzaga and fell down
but overall it was a great game my fave too
@jinsilverknight899 Most likely, it's an after effect of Ellen's power. Laguna says that when the dreams happen, his team gets a sudden power boost. So sudden healing isn't that much of a stretch.
6, 7 ,9, and 10 are the true masterpieces. 4, 8, 14, and 12 are up there too.
I have never played final fantasy and those 4 are the ones I have wish listed to play.
I absolutely and utterly HATE 9
@wesleytaule1766 Not only battle, also the overworld, but what’s most important to me: No interesting story, no interesting characters, everything seems bland and generic to me.
@wesleytaule1766 I’m always surprised about how different perceptions of the same thing can be, but so be it.
Not 12
FFXV has been an amazing ride, and i will NOT be swayed on this! 😭
@@lucas.lagoriaa YESSIR!!! ❤️
If only it feels like an actual fantasy rpg
With no attachment to versus XIII XV is actually amazing on it's own, especially the royal edition
