I gave the album a listen through from beginning to end, taking Rob Halford’s advice. I love it! The vocals are awesome considering Rob is not a ‘youngish’ man, but I don’t dwell on that. The songs are strong and I take my hat off to the Judas Priest ethos of defending the faith! They don’t make albums for the critics, never have bowed and they respect their fans. I have seen them only once and I am thankful for that. Stay metal!!
Yes it is a good solid album, they are loyal to the cause and not trying to write music that fits anything except their own identity. Thanks for watching
Regarding live experience, you nailed the description there, I felt exactly the same. When I was there live Rob sounded amazing, but when i checked some of the clips i recorded on my phone to send my friends, they said "ohhh...band sounds great but he sounds kinda strained on the high notes" . But it was not noticeable really live
I got the standard CD and was extremely pleased upon hearing it in total. My favorite tracks are not the singles, but the super catchy ones: Sons of Thunder, Gates of Hell, Escape From Reality, As God is my Witness, Giants In the Sky . . . and also the single Panic Attack is gonna become a classic . . the others are great, but more progressive soulful metal sounding, which is a great blend. I give it an A+, one of their best albums: 1-- Painkiller / 2-- Screaming for Vengence / 3-- Defenders of the Faith / 4-- Invincible Shield / 5-- Firepower / 6-- Stained Class / 7-- British Steel / 8-- Ram It Down / 9-- Point of Entry / 10-- Turbo / 11-- Hell Bent For Leather / 12-- Nostradamus / 13-- Sin After Sin / 14-- Sad Wings of Destiny / 15 Redeemer of Souls / 16 Angel of Retribution [not collected yet: / Rocka-Rolla / Jugulator / Demolition / ]
Yes, I agree with what you say that it is a blend indeed with loads of diverse atmosphere. I think I would swap Painkiller and Defenders in your ranking and have British Steel higher as well. Thanks for watching
Started with the exclusive cd (+bonus tracks)…… saw them live….. bought the picture disc… bought the alternative cover (+ bonus tracks)…….. worth every penny….. would absolutely love to see them again on this tour
Enjoy your new acquisition … Back side of the cover: perfect for t- shirt ! United we stand, divided we fall It’s a frase that comes from an Aesop’s fable, from Ancient Greece.

Yes I really think that usually the phones don't do any singers any justice.
the whole album is great . I've been listening to it for a few weeks now . nothing weak on this album .
Thanks for watching.
