Let me just comment that the convenience of a permanent home is nothing compared to the rewards of your family traveling together and bonding with each other. It made me happy to look at Andrew, Peter and Asher all occupying the same couch and talking and Jude and Daniel playing in the trampoline. It reminded me of my own bonding moments with my siblings. I'm thinking that those sibling bonding moments "might" happen rarely if you guys live in a permanent home and the kids have their own set of friends to hang out with in the neighborhood. You have good children and it helped that you traveled most of the time so the siblings become each other's best friends. Your setup might not work for all families but then each family dynamic is different and we all need to receive different inspiration from heaven on what will work best for our own family situation. Thank you for letting us a peak in your family!

If you go to the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert and the Natural History Museum they are REALLY close together so nice and easy to go between - there's even an underground tunnel between them in the tube station (on the non-pay side), so you don't even have to get rained on! The British Museum is amazing too though.

I moved from PHX to Seattle over 30 years ago and miss the sun. Seattle is very much like England as far as dark and dreary skies. To help alleviate SAD, turn on all the lights in the house and leave them on all day. Open all the curtains. Eat lots of greens, citrus, and mushrooms. Take saffron capsules, turmeric capsules, B12, and vitamin D. Go outside regardless of the weather. Smile until you feel it. Pray until your knees hurt.

To help my kids with, “Is it time for?” I put a color code on a clock for certain things. Ours was for time up and breakfast, school, breaks, free time, ready for bed time.

Lol I am just the opposite of most people..... I HATE THE SUN !!!!!!!! I HATE HEAT !!!!!!!! Big wind and rain storms make me smile.... I get so excited !!!!! I will cook a big comfort meal or big pot of soup.... Get errands and chores done early and I will sit in my recliner in my pjs and watch it outside..... I sleep like the dead during a severe wind/ thunder storm :). During end of spring and summer I whole up in My house with a/c set to 60'..... I only do errands and shopping first thing in the morning.......retiring to Ocean Park Washington in a few months and cant wait for the cloudy windy rainy weather and 95% less heat and humidity !!!!!!! I would be in hog heaven in Britain !!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, no problem. Just so you understand you’re a clinical introvert. Nothing wrong with that, but just understand you’re reaching out to a minority. That’s okay and hopefully for them they will find your comment quite comforting! For MOST of us ... We are somewhere in-between your complete comfort in “hunkering down” shyness, and venturing forward and thriving on connection! I think this is what the Knorpps are experiencing! All spectrums perfectly normal!

I just spent a few months taking care of my very ill sister....it was very hard to feel any hope at all, as she is fighting stage 4 cancer. We were in the northwest of the US and it was dark and damp and cold and I so wanted to appreciate each moment we have together, but it was so very depressing...and then one day the sun came out and she actually got up, smiling, made her breakfast, took a walk down the driveway...we both felt so uplifted by the sun....and felt grateful for the day and for a brief time all was back to 'normal'....so, I am with ya on the power of sunshine .....🌞

Anytime you are making a change for something new, something better, something harder and more rewarding there is always a shift in convenience. 👍

Yes Esther! My family have loved visiting Egypt, and my mum travelled there continuously since her teens, so our house is full of Egyptian artefacts (and a few other eras and cultures). We've always loved history and it is amazing, Luxor is an incredible sight, the pyramids are so much bigger, and closer to the city than you'd expect. If you can, making the trip to Jordan for Petra is totally worth it :) Megan, we have a travel blender that also doubles as a drinks cup for days out and is USB charged, they have been a godsend, and about the same size of a coffee flask.

January blues, we've all been there! I have been using my SAD lamp in the mornings (I have a blue LED one from Sad Solutions) and that's supposed to help with vitamin D and your circadian rhythms.
There's so much to do in London on a rainy day, and if you get a day ticket for bus and tube you can do it without going outside much at all!
How immersed in the local culture do you try to get when you're in a new country. I expect you don't watch broadcast TV all that much, but I found when I'm travelling that watching breakfast TV is a really good way to understand how a country works and gets on. I found it very lighthearted and chilled in New Zealand. I would recommend watching BBC Breakfast on BBC 1 (I don't like the morning shows on ITV) but it would give you an idea of what the UK is like!
Happy travels to the British Museum tomorrow, it's great!

Hey You guys! Yes, everything happens for a reason and there was a reason I tuned into your vlog tonight instead of the morning. I was feeling a little blue today today. Started out with hearing the Word of God but I still think it could be the after Christmas crash or just the fact that it gets darker earlier in the winter and not getting enough sunshine. You mentioned to check how you eat and that's another thing I need to keep track of better. Thanks so much for this video...it was not depressing at all, it totally resonated with me. Love you guys!

There are a few people mentioning using Vitamin D, according to Ears, Nose and Throat specialist in Texas, taking Vita D should be accompanied by taking Magnesium in order for the Vitamin D to be absorbed, or use one these: "To continue on D over time, I’d recommend getting D3 in 2000 or 5000 IU capsules. Xymogen is an excellent brand, as is Metagenics. D3 is best absorbed, far better than D2. Doctors often prescribe 50,000 IU as a once-weekly pill, but taking daily doses of D3 (5000 daily until levels increase, then 2000 IU every day or every other day) will serve her well. I, too, am D deficient. And as a Dietitian, these are my recommendations. "

As a Christian we would call it 'listening to the Holy Spirit.' I think that if you guys went to warm, sunny places during winter and went to Europe etc during Summer, to get year round sunshine. :)

I'm glad you spoke about needing to change things as I'm not happy with the job I'm in anymore so I'm on the search for a new one. I've been in my current one since I was 17 and I'm now 26 x

You can go to the Natural History Museum and Science Museum in one day. They’re right next to each other and perfect for rainy day! Lots of nice places to eat around there too x

I’ve got that feeling at the moment too, I think this weather here in England at the moment is a massive factor. The light hours are so short at the moment which is making things tough, and it’s hard to get motivated. X

I'm not religious. I never was its just not how I was raised. Sometimes I wish I was just to have something to believe in. I know its not too late. I'm only 21. I just really enjoy how you talk about your faith and how you continue your faith all around the globe.

Kaitlyn I was the same. Until I prayed from my heart one day, as if there really was someone divine listening. I stated 'I don't know if I believe, but so many people think that you are there. So if you really are listening then this is what I want for... from the bottom of my heart'
Words are not enough to explain but I felt listened to and I very physically felt a pressure lift from my chest. And a sort of un-doubt spread. An acute sense of actually knowing that God, whatever form this divine presence really is, is real.
Thank you for reminding me of this feeling by commenting what you did and prompting my answer to you. I think I needed this. ❤
Life is easier when you have faith but it is still something you need to work at and keep active in your life to not feel lost or caught up in the other sides of life.
But yeah. My tip to you, or anyone else reading this, is this:
If you are unable to trust yourself, but wanting and seeking and longing for that 'something'. (In theology it can be called God making his presence known to you or calling) Then try trusting in that many other people do trust and have faith or knowing. Trust in their faith and open yourself up to the possibility. Really truly open yourself up to the possibility of it.
      Awesome things might happen.

Just ask Jesus if He's real, He'll reveal Himself to you. Have a real conversation with Him, He's a real person, God and Man. Read the Bible, New Testament. You don't have to be raised in it for it to be a part of your life. God knows how to relate to you wherever you're at.

But what came to me so close its interesting how the family is gathering all together and loving all at same time even the adopted one, But what i noticed is that somehow the adopted usually gang up together hahaha guess facial recognition attracts them or their case.

Actually, I found your talk at the end encouraging. Made me realize I need to do some tweaking and get my pilot light up to full. Thank you ❤️. The Dark of winter really does creep up. Definitely need that vitamin D. It's dark and rainy over in the Pacific Northwest too.

I always thought you guys were brave to choose Northern Europe in winter 😱😅! Putting up with the Irish weather and now England - no wonder you feel off. Some of us hibernate for months (Sweden)!
Leave for warmer climates and come back (go to Scandinavia) in May, toward the middle of the month, and you will experience a total metamorphosis of the weather and all the blossoming and the LIGHT! The kids will never worry about their bedtime (but you will). Do your hiking in northern Sweden or Norway. Beautiful!

That just shows how inexperienced travellers they are , they should have spent the winter months in southern Europe and spring summer in Ireland and the uK when its a 1000 times more beautiful with long days

Hey, Knorpps! I moved to England from sunny Texas and really struggled with the winter blues. There is not enough sunshine during the day for me. So I bought a happy light on Amazon (search Beurer TL40 Daylight Lamp SAD Light) and really love it. I think it's helping!
