- Mike is leaving us for a quick trip to Austria and while we are happy that he got the chance to go we also know that we seriously NEED Dad! He's seeing the sights with his brother to visit their grandfather's POW camp and we're trying to make things work without him!

You have awesome children. I notice that Esther is so good about helping out when something needs to be done, when Eve or Jude need to have someone hang onto them or hold their hand in transit. Esther is mature and responsible. She is a great big sister.
Andrew looks so handsome in his jacket! He's such a wonderful young man, he's going to make someone very happy one day.

I am so enjoying watching you and all your family travel. My daughter and her partner have 8 adopted children, all from drug-addicted mothers. only 6 of them still living at home now. They have 3 older boys who are in college and 2 boys and 1 girl at home. They homeschooled all those kids. My daughter is holding down 3 jobs to finance them. The other Mom is the stay at home Mom. They also have a big bus almost like yours they have had to travel in. My daughter plays the piano and organ for the Methodist church there in Las Vegas for 4 services. Plus she is a professor at UNLV where she teaches Social Service 3 days a wk. Then she works for Hospice 3 days a wk. AND she is going to school online for her Doctorate now too! So watching your family reminds me a lot of her family now.

I have these on in the background while I'm working this lonely pandemic Thanksgiving week, and every now and then something gets me laughing, like "Mike's out the country. Eve: Yaaaah!" You all are such a gift to those of us who are being forced to spend a lot of time alone this year. Well, not forced. We who recognize it's what we need to do until the vaccine comes through and are getting through it as best we can.
We love you to. I so much enjoy traveling with you and seeing your children respond to life. Best Wishes

Hey M! When I rented a car in Ireland last year, I learned very quickly that I should say, "driving on the OTHER side of the road" and not the "WRONG side of the road!" ha For Irish and UK residents, it's the RIGHT side of the road! :) And I don't blame you at all for not wanting to drive much. It's SCARY! I was driving down a very narrow street in Galway and my driver's side mirror HIT the passenger side mirror of a parked car! I was TERRIFIED! Luckily, no damage but it's SO hard to gauge how close you are to cars on your left from the RIGHT SIDE of the vehicle! I feel your hesitancy, for sure! :) Teresa

My dad was WW2 bombardier .. he got shot down , and spent almost three years in a POW camp in Germany .. the POW camp where he was,,was the camp where the Great Escape took place ( he was there when it took place ) . If you haven’t seen that movie , try to !! It’s incredible movie ...

A quick observation, over the time you've been posting (I'm a long time subscriber) I've noticed not only has your video/editing quality improved but you've developed an amazing his/hers proportion of on-camera "face" time. Few couples filming/vlogging manage this balance quite as well as you folks. I think this may be a part of your ongoing success (other than your 11 individual personalities and the "traveling hoard" factor) so keep up the good work!

I lost my husband of 45 1/2 years in August 2017.....it is hard being alone, but I was the one who did most everything around here except for the man things, plumbing, carpentry, taking care of the car, etc....I am having a very hard time with those things and my income is not enough to hire people to do them....but God always provides ...I am getting used to being alone at night but I don't sleep....which is so exhausting...I miss him so very much and I know there are many out there in my shape, men and women....I do know I will see him in Heaven again one day but its not like having him here now...it is very comforting to know....he was my high school sweetheart and will always be my sweetheart...we had 2 children, a set of twins, boy and a girl, but God took our daughter, Sarah to be with him at birth, leaving us with our son, Scott to raise for Him...he lives a long way from here but is working at a Church, the Music Director and using his God given talent for God...I am so proud of him but I miss him too...I wasn't able to have anymore children.....more than likely they too would be living away so I do the best I can here with God's help....sorry, didn't mean to tell you my life story...just touched by you missing Mike...Hope he and his brother have wonderful time together...see you next time!!! Great vlog!!

Sorry about the lost of your husband, I understand that I lost my husband 10yrs a go and Sunday was are 51st anniversary and I was so sad. And I still feel alone. Thanks to all of you for your kind words and your prayers.....the night I wrote that was a very hard, lonely time....no sleep plus the emotions can be so hard....Thank God I have him in my heart and to carry me (us) through these hard times....My prayers are with each of you as well, some have loss your sweetheart, others have broken hearts for different reasons but one thing we as humans share are hard times and good times....My Daddy used to say, If it never rained we wouldn't smile when the sun was shining bright!! I see that all the boys always wear white shirts & khakis pants to church, is this just for ease for traveling or is it a for specific dress code for reason? I love that they always dress up for church and not just jeans t-shirts like so many young people do today. Love your family!
I just started watching you guys about a week ago and I’m in awe! I think it’s so amazing how you guys manage 9 kids! Also love how well everyone gets along! My siblings and I (it’s 3 of us) cant even be in the same room for longer than 30 min 😂😂 cannot wait to see more videos, also hope you guys will travel to Germany. It’s beautiful there!

Austria looks beautiful. Dinner looked amazing. I loved the Vienna Opera House. If I'm not mistaken the Sound of Music was filmed in parts of Vienna. Little trivia for you.
The architecture in Vienna is amazing. Glad you get to go and spend some family time with your brother.
You will enjoy York. Use the hop on hop off bus in York. Walk the wall for sure. Meghan, I drove all around the UK for 3 weeks it was frightening the first few days. Motorways were fine but in towns with the roundabouts it was scary. You can do it. 👍

Hey M, can I ask which camp your grandfather was in? My grandfather was MIA for a long time and my grandmother got a letter he had smuggled out of the camp that told her he was alive. He was part of that final march west that the POWs were forced to endure. Those final 86 days impacted so many of the POWs.
I just want to say, Thank you Knorpp and South family. I love your videos and watching your travels, but the family moment and the conversations today with Megan and the older kids, talking about what happens when there is only one parent at home. How very relatable (not a word?), but still. Even though I am not a kid living at home anymore, and my brothers and I are all grown up (some still live at home thought), those kinds of moments of together, living out memories and things, still fun. I appreciate your authenticity in all of this.
How lovely for Mike to catch up with his brother! And to go to see where their grandfather was imprisoned is so poignant. Brava to Megan for holding down the fort while Mike was away. Y'all have a true partnership, which is cool. Megan is the ideas person and Mike makes it happen!

Have you ever tried spraying your church clothes with some water and throwing in the dryer? Maybe it doesnt work as well as ironing but thats what I do if I need something unwrinkled. Loved this video! Thanks for all the work making these for us!

I just discovered your videos on the weekend and I am already a "fan". :) It is nice to see a family who gets along so well. The editing of the video was really great and it was interesting to see my own city through the eyes of a tourist. (regarding the CAT, there is a cheaper option that doesn't take much longer. CAT is pretty much a tourist thing, locals use the S7.) And you could have taken one of the trams that go pretty much around half of the ring street. It is an easy way to see most of the important sights for less money and more flexibility. Just in case you ever come back. :)
The hop on hop off buses are fantastic for seeing cities in a short amount of time.

I just want to see you visit Scotland and Slovenia. Andrew needs to see St. Andrews in Scotland. It's a university town and very beautiful. St. Andrews university is 3rd best in UK, after Cambridge and Oxford.
If you ever visit Austria as a famly, Graz is another very beautiful town. My favourite in Austria. It's in the south, very close to the border with Slovenia.
Good video. We have seen Mike alone when you are away and now you when he is away. It is good for couples to have time like that , but good to see how each misses the other - filling in things you don't normally do. The kids are great too.
Oh my gosh! My husband passed away 6 years ago. It was SO hard to get used to being alone at night.
One night I had such a weird nightmare that I called my son and had him come and spend the night at my house.
Thank God for our sons.
And BTW Andrew looks great. The style suits him well.

I’m at university in York! It’s such a beautiful city, if you have time I recommend visiting the museum and the museum gardens, walk round the city walls they’ve been there since the roman times, and also visit the minister, it’s amazing. Can’t wait for you to see it!

I also watch chick flicks when my hubby is away. Lol. For me, I find an empty side of the bed harder to cope with than strange noises at night, but then again, we have a large dog who guards us also.

Megan, you should visit the Jorvik Viking Centre when you are in York with Andrew. It's a great interactive museum about the Vikings and their presence in the city, very popular attraction. I LOVED it as a kid!
