    The secret to a great machine is the amount of preventative maintenance you perform on it. And you totally grasp that concept. The company should sponsor you.

    Jon, this is a great review of the machine. The RT120F is a beast and will only get better as ASV keeps growing. Their other machines are great, too!

    Every since i saw your first video i thought that cage around the back was factory .... wow y’all did a great job building that 🇺🇸👍🏻

    I have exactly the same thing, but not the DCR head. I got the BH85SS head. My issues so far are that the air conditioner doesn't work from the factory. It has a leak somewhere that needs found. The shop can do it since it still under warranty. My lift arms also bleed off as well which can be not okay. I haven't tried lifting the cab yet, but read that the lift arms have to be up to accomplish that. If they bleed off... Kinda screwed. I've thrown 2 codes. One for water in fuel so that was easy. The other was for DEF tank abnormal rate of change. Kinda what happens when you're bouncing around. So, for only 61 hours on the machine, I'm not at buyers remorse, but somewhat pissed at it. Especially the AC that I can't fix because I can't keep the lift arms up in the field. It was 112° on the job site today. It was miserable

    Glad it has been such a good machine for you! They should come with a guard on the back! Nice design

    For the amount of work it does in 5 hours of run time the fuel consumption is not bad considering the head you are using.
    The machine is still looking pretty good.

    Any bs emmision engine problems ? I have an 05 rc100 factory mulcher with a 100hp turbo perkins, 2050 hours. My stock rear tube bumper cage thingy is pretty stout. I like your steel plate , nice for counterweight too. I redid my undercarriage myself, filled the rollers with grease the ones I rebuilt and new units with gear oil there's no lube in the bearings except what's packed in them from the factory. Next time I won't be so picky on the middle rollers as long as the idlers are good. I love there cage sprocket I've never had a track come off , and I run my a lil loose.

    Have you done or would you consider doing a vid on how to egress out the emergency exit in case of a worst case scenario? I'm wondering about the emergency exit difference between this ASV 120 vs the CAT 299D.

    Any specific reason you went with the ASV with Fecon head, and not a FTX128L right from Fecon? Price? Or ease of transportation?

    • @UpstateBrushControl
      @UpstateBrushControl  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Both. It's a lot of money and a big machine. It's heavy to transport. The skidsteer is a lot more versatile for our business.

    Glad to hear it’s been a great setup for you bro by the way how does that dcr do in rocky ground and what was the mulchers condition after the job was done thank you for your time and help!

      @UpstateBrushControl  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does okay in rocky ground, we don't have a lot of rock here. It's just hard on the knives.

    Hey man, thanks for the videos you put out. Can you tell me where you got the material to make the rear screen? That looks nice and I've never seen that kinda material before. I'm on the fence on whether I should buy an rt120f, or get a tl12R2. Either way I have to do some extra guarding and protection. Thanks

    Jon I’ve been wondering about that bumper five hours on a tank of fuel doesn’t sound good. How many years do you think you will go before update? ASV factory reps are training the guys at our local dealer tomorrow and my sales rep invited me to go and meet with them. Machine with just a bucket is over 100 k now. Thanks for sharing

      Tell them to make us some steel replacement covers! Mine have a few love marks too John.
      I do love the RT120F. So much more power!
      Getting close to ordering the DCR. Looks like about 29k with a 9 week lead time. Dang.

    I've just about convinced myself to buy one of these machines and start up my own land clearing business. I was quoted the other day to clear my 4 acres at $3,500 per acre cause its heavily wooded. Is this a going rate??

      For forestry mulching, the ASV is the best on the market, in my opinion. The cooling, high flow, ground clearance, and horse power. . . can't beat it for the price.

    Those body parts appear to be fiberglass. They can be easily repaired.

    • @UpstateBrushControl
      @UpstateBrushControl  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know right? I wish they weren't fiberglass, I wish they were steel.

    • @cookiesservices4552

      Jon I talked to the rep and he said when they built the prototype they made those panels out of steel and their thought of it was it added too much weight to the machine so I don’t think they will change that. I told him of your review and he was telling me of a customer that’s running three or four of these machines. I hope you get five thousand hours as well
