How much more? Do not always look at other countries systems. As they say, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. What works for them may not work for you. Different culture, different social system. In Asia they are always worse off than us in Western countries.
@PaulyWally30 Well, it can't be worse than the country keeping 70% of what we produce and not doing anything when we went through a drought. Meanwhile, the capital has everything subsidized, and every federal project is done there. Following the example of the region with the best transportation system in the world and the most developed area in its own country shouldn't be that bad of an idea compared to what we have now.
While I enjoyed the video, I think it’s a flawed analysis of the internal situation of Mexico. The separatists movements are way exaggerated. I think you failed to take into account the Mexican political system, the governing party and the political history of the nation as a whole. The Neza example was completely out of line, it is not a separatist movement or even situation, specially considering that Mexico City had been ruled by PRD since 1997, and then switched to MORENA in 2018. Now, in the 2018 elections the current ruling party won the majority of the votes in ALL the states, except Guanajuato, they also currently rule Sonora, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Tamaulipas and Sinaloa. They also almost won Nuevo León, if it weren’t for a political scandal, they would’ve won. The current governor of Nuevo León even wanted to be the presidential candidate for his party, and, while he had a stand of anti centralism in his campaign for governor, he became almost an ally of AMLO and had a lot of problems with the PRI-PAN-PRD alliance in the local congress. And from here you could go more and more in depth into the political situation in Mexico. Again, I don’t think it’s a bad video, but the situation is greatly exaggerated and your research was not enough to talk about this problem in Mexico, also because, currently and for the foreseeable future, this problem is nonexistent in Mexico.
It’s also worth mentioning that the “left and right” divide in Mexico is almost non-existent, because we don’t have a truly right or left political party in Mexico. Also, states like Yucatán, Chiapas, Puebla and Veracruz are really conservative places, even more than a lot of northern states.
Thanks for the constructive comment, some good points. My point with the left-right was only referring to economics not to social conservatism as I'm aware the left-right dichotomy is not the same in Mexico as it is elsewhere.
Yes, and we all hate Samuel for being an idiot "pocos huevos" and suck it up to the president. The only reason he won is cause his campaign was focused on NL receiving a bigger budget from our own money.
One of the reasons the governor of Nuevo Leon was elected were his stance on anticentralism and his opposition of AMLO policies, so people gave him the benefit of a doubt but he has shown to be a closeted chairo which was not what voters wanted. I don't see this guy winning next time but with the waves of people from the south moving to state i do see it becoming a left leaning state in the near future which is weird how they flee their Morena run state for opportunities elsewhere just to vote for that exact same party that fail them in their state of origin.
Not only northern states needs autonomy, but all the states of the republic must work for themselves and only each state can solve their problems, centralism is the reason for the underdevelpment of the country

Do a video of Bolivia's cultural divide too between Eastern Lowlands and the Mountainous West. It's fascinating. Even the Tarija region is separate too.
@@Epoch_Edge_ awesome. They have even more of a cultural difference than Mexico due to Bolivia's low population density. The mountainous West and center is where the Collas reside. It is predominantly indigenous majority, with a fairly large mestizo minority, and small white minority like Peru. The Eastern Lowlands is where the Cambas live. This region is overwhelming Mestizo with a large white minority and a tiny amerindian minority like Paraguay or the Central West of Brazil. The Tarija region is where the Chapacos live, it is mostly mestizo with some whites and have more in common with Northern Argentina. All three regions have distinct accents and cultural mores. Northern Mexican here from Baja California, this just my understanding from conversations with friends and family so take that as you will, but separatist sentiments are widespread among native Northerns but since people from Southern states migrate continuously into the North it gets muted. However, as the southerners have northern kids they begin to identify with separatism. A lot of northerns would like to be independent or even be annexed by the USA as the only way to improve and get rid of the control from Mexico City. I think that the reason people hesitate on separating from Mexico is twofold, firstly most are not convinced that a northern Mexican nation would be viable due to lack of water and food production, it would be dependent of the USA to survive (which it is currently anyways). Secondly, those that would like to be annexed by the USA at same time fear that they would be discriminated and become second-class citizens and lose control over their lands to Americans settlers/migrants. Northern Mexicans also tend to be more conservative and distrust the liberal influences that would come into the area from the USA (I guess this might be a Baja California concern since we border California a blue state, it might not be the same for the rest of the northern state as they border more red states like Arizona and Texas). As Mexico City and the central states and cities become more liberal with feminism, lgbtq rights, socialism, atheism more Northerns want to separate because all of those ideas have significantly less appeal in the north were conservative (not just catholic but also evangelical, mormon and mennonite) and capitalistic free trade and individualism values are more common.
