comon the Masaesali were numidians of north Africa (the ones you call "dessert rome" ;) while the Massaliotes of Massilia were the Phoceans : greeks of Anatolia who settled first in Corsica but moved to southern Gaul after a draw sea battle against a coalition of Carthage plus the Etruscans.
It'a well known knowledge that apollo cannot pronounce any faction names.
Unless he was talking about the faction in current day nice if you look on campaign map

I recently started playing Rome II, got around 30-40 hours in it. Your tips help a LOT in these battles.
I want him to play grand campaign and make a little serie about it just looks fun
if you use a siege machine, try to use normal shots to increase accuracy if the opponent's position is still far away, but if they are getting close and blobbing, try using fire shot,i dont recommend you to use the explosive shot cause it didn't do a lot of damage. if i'm wrong please help correct me

It hits more but kills way less only good on close up archers like gallic archers when they move them close up

Do gates get kill counts?
Defenders killed - 3,361
Attackers lost - 4,427
Gate could reasonably have gotten 1,066 kills
Obviously there are the arrow towers but as no kill counts I'm aware of, this is my thought.

Apollo you can play yes your grace although it doesn't have a good graphics,it has amazing story
I think they were attacking the gate so as to spread the defenses out

Bruh they charged into the gate Id only do this in thrones of Britannia in campaign cause it won’t matter if you lose 300 men in the gates they replenish so fast and usually you’d have almost or all your units with around 3 shenrons so yeah ontop of that the most garrison you can have is 13 in thrones in multiplayer id only charge the gate if I have massive archer support
If you play here's a tip: don't say a no to your little daughter she will eventually unintentionally save you
I have an army idea on a map with a wall like the one in this battle. I could use spears to hold an enemy unit while I flank with a sword or other unit with good killing potential but the rest of the army I don't know as I don't have the game just an idea for the beginning engagements

in a bigger tournament.
Or multiplayer campaign but with maby a few friends or something
First! Yes! A video finally!
Rome is best used by keeping its army in formation.
Never split up the army like this player did.
And never put your general in harms way.
The roman units can keep each other’s morale high if you keep them close.
I usually go for a double line formation with weak units up front and elite units behind. Cav on the flanks and general and archers follow behind.
Always attack in formation as this is what Rome is good at (whole army fighting in formation)
Let the front line absorb any charge then push up the elite units to support keep alternating like this and I guarantee you Rome will flourish in any fight that doesn’t have pikes involved.
Use the archers wisely a volley here a volley there. Have cav wait for a perfect opportunity to wrap around for hammer and anvil. The general unit I never have as a cav unit as cav seems to die pretty quickly so use and infantry unit for the general and keep him close by so you can protect him.
I would send an ROM replay but every time i try to open it it crashes. might just send the file

I am not some kind of stone cold pro when it comes to total war but there was some really questionable tactics utilised in this siege. A general would have his head taken for these decisions.
