I think I redid that mission for 3 hours when I first played trying to get every single enemy responsible for that incident. Then after that I truly was a menace for the next 2-3 missions after as well.
Bit late to the party, but I can confidently agree. I was playing the game for the first time, and despite watching multiple reviews on it, and knowing what happens in Journey Home, it hit me like a truck when it happened in person. It was also the first notes played after his death + the missing man formation which finally broke me
I think what makes AC5's story so good is because it focuses around your and your squadron. While outside characters are brought in with you. You get that emotional attachment and bonding throughout the story. This is why you feel so emotional over Chopper's death. We knew him. He was our friend. While the other AC games focus on the outside characters more so you don't have that tight knit bond with your wingmen.
Reminds me of my first playthrough. After taking my time with AC4. I blitzed through AC5 in the span of 2 days. The story is just peak Ace Combat, of course Zero is still for me.
and its not like shattered skies is bad by any means, its great, unsung war is just a level above even that though i gotta give it to zero. unsung war made me feel, zero made me question the nature of humanity
@@cpob2013 Odd thing is i feel the enemy AI was way better in 4 than the other 2... Yellows really made you work for the kill most of the time meanwhile in the other games you can just go LOL 4AAM BRR and take out even the named squadron bosses in one pass if your lucky
So awesome you got to playing the e holy trinity of Ace Combat games! I bought AC5 when the flight stick combo came out with the game. Sadly I never got to playing it until last year. AC5 is truly an epic game and the flight stick elevates the experience to a whole new level.
I actually consider Ace Combat 5 my first anime lol. I must have been 6 or 7 when I played it for the first time and the degree with which I vibed with the story telling was a clear indicator I was destined to be a weeb (AC storytelling is very anime). In fact half the voice actors in this game worked together on the Code Geass dub lol: Nagase, Capt. Bartlett, the briefing Narrator, and Thunderhead are all in it.
Yo! Just my two cents on Long Day should you return to AC7, but I LOVE the F-22 with XSDB (homing bombs that can lock onto four different enemies at once, have AOE, and reload really fast). I can very reliably clear the whole map of ground units on ace difficulty with that setup. Will be pumped to potentially watch regardless of what you choose, though!
I used to dislike Ace Combat a lot cause how dumb it was (this is when I was younger) Now I love Ace Combat cause it just leans into absurdity. While I still have skme of gripes over some aircraft designs and such, I just accept it all cause the world is meant to be absurd. It is the cool factor. And now here I am today Played AC7, PW, WT (i hate the grind), and DCS. I still think scinfaxi design could have been better for aircraft recovery. Though Alicorn did fix up with that, even if the runway is short. Oh yeah lets not forget, AC has amazing music that I enjoy. To the point it inspired some music for current WT aviation tracks and even some maps.
My man went through a whole character arc playing this. He truly is one of us now.
To be fair AC5 is hands down the best game in the series. Even with how old it is now.
2:19:32 Mission accomplished, followed with immediately exploding by some grave misfortune. One of us, one of us
It's just a rite of passage at this point.
Till this day, Choppers death is the only time I’ve cried over a video game

1:31:14 Pilot Marco, callsign: "Meatball". 😂
Had a false start, but mad respect for completing the trainer jet mission on the first (proper) try.
Funniest moment of the stream. goofball Marco FTW

Ace Combat 5’s second half is such an emotional rollercoaster that stays with you for a very long time
My favorite mission is 8492 and ghost of razgriz. FA-22 raptor is my fighter of choice.
Marco genuinely surprised when Anti-Ship missiles do more damage to ships.
I AM HERE TO SALUTE CAPTAIN DAVENPORT !

I still haven’t gotten over Chopper’s death all these years later 😢
Seeing you ignore the F-15 hurt
The protagonist jet got shafted
Such a colossal jump in quality from Shattered Sky to Unsung War!

Some of them from the Bleach dub too lol
Wow, you’re going through this game so fast I feel like you’ll probably be done with Zero by next week
The Four Wings of Sand Island 🏝️
Awesome stream. Thanks for the fun times
Mission 16, "not that much left"? XD Hehe, I'll have to see what you say around mission 30!
Choppers death... that was too sad
AND YOU HAD TO KILL HIM TWICE
6:13:25 HE REALIZES

With my highest respect, captain doesn't approve choppers' deaths,

Play ace combat for years I know where the jammer is only you have to take them out first and then transport
I hope that someday, marco can play AC3 with the english patch.
If there's a game that needs the remake treatment, it's the full version of AC3.
I wish I coulda been apart of these streams! Sorry I couldn't make it too em!
DONT apologize !
ice cage remains to be one of my favorite soundtracks in this game
Fought off the Migraine for this stream! Worth!
❤️❤️❤️
