The fact that Corrin can sing at all actually has huge lore implications for Fates because if Corrin can sing lost in thoughts all alone then that means she can use Anankos's pendant and her power with the pendant could be much, much stronger than when Azura sings it because Corrin is the child of Anankos

Dang, the JP wasn’t half bad. The English one was rough. If it wasn’t on purpose then I would feel bad poking fun at it but… it has to be intentional, right? No one can sing Lost in Thoughts THAT off key, right?
It feels better because her voice is already melodic and sweet-toned, and she articulates the sounds with more refinement (probably because of how much more narrow Japanese phonetics already are), but you can hear she sounds off. It's more subtle than EN but still very much casual for-fun singing. (the character sounds off of course; the actress is obvy doing it on purpose and doing it very convincingly)

AWWWW MAN DON'T DO THIS WITH ME
Having Azura as my waifu is painful, i can see this but not Azura as an Emblem purely because Camilla is more popular and has bigger boobs
The EN is fair ok, but the JP oh man what a sing!
Now I want Corrin to try: EMBRACE THE DARK YOU CALL A HOME
Is the Japanese one straight up pitch-corrected or is it just the echo making it sound like that?
Japanese sounds kind of robotic like they used auto tune
Good thing I can understand Japanese, because the English localization is just not it. So many awkward and unnecessary changes.
Still better than the engage opening
Why is she autotuned in Japanese
She isn't though
@@Dangsm It's either the effect they put on the voice or it's autotune, it's kinda difficult to tell.
Its funny how she says she's not good...
In English she butchers it, which makes sense but I want to hear it good
In Japanese she KILLS IT, and that makes me happy.... But it doesn't fit thematically
They both make sense, it's just a matter if you prefer her "not good at singing" line being literal, or if you read it as her being genuinely modest.
In JP, Corrin/Kamui said that it's been so long since she's tried singing and my be off, with her second response being, "May I sing a nostalgic song for you then?"
Localization team doing what they do best.
We're going to ignore how edited the Japanese singing is? The autotune is pretty agressive.
Dang, the JP wasn’t half bad. The English one was rough. If it wasn’t on purpose then I would feel bad poking fun at it but… it has to be intentional, right? No one can sing Lost in Thoughts THAT off key, right?
is it just me or Japanese sound way better?
It feels better because her voice is already melodic and sweet-toned, and she articulates the sounds with more refinement (probably because of how much more narrow Japanese phonetics already are), but you can hear she sounds off. It's more subtle than EN but still very much casual for-fun singing.
(the character sounds off of course; the actress is obvy doing it on purpose and doing it very convincingly)
The singing voice, I can agree on.
Both are bad
She says she's bad... Corrin is a Mary Sue in her games and this is the one time she gets an actual flaw and then the Japanese VA goes for the "I'm just humble uwu," approach
Considering Corrin says she isn't good at singing, the Japanese versions sounding better means they missed the point :Y
EN Corrin Wins
Not bad corrin not bad but i liked more Azura
wait her jp voice didnt even sound bad at all why did the localization directed the VA to intentionally make it sound bad wth
I didn’t like Corrins Japanese voice when I first heard it and I still think it’s too girly for her. I thought her English fates voice was much better. But her English voice in Engage just does not fit her. She sounds like she’s form a Barbie movie for some reason.
It's the same voice I'm pretty sure, but in fates you have 3 different voice options, I think this voice is option 1
Just for that im playing with the Japanese voices. Sorry Corrin.
Inb4 JP supremacists
Corrin sounds so generic in japanese. Eng dub takes this one imo.
Even though I hate Fire Emblem Fates, Azura should have been in this game and not Corrin
Because no one in japan sings bad apparently
Why tf they give her autotune
Yeah imma need her to leave the singing to azura
still annoyed they made Corrin female and Byleth male, i think their counterparts were a bit more iconic and more played overall.
Yeah it more reasonable if corrin is male and byleth is female
I forgot male corrin existence because of his hair was.....
Let's just say male corrin hair was ugly to be honest.....
@@artken4901 lmao i see you are Conquest player
Yeah I agree, but honestly after playing Engage I’ve grown quite fond of f!Corrin and m!Byleth.
Though like you said, in my main playthroughs of Fates and Houses I used m!Corrin and f!Byleth.
Sad that Eng Corrin is off key, but JP Corrin sounded SO beautiful!
it's supposed to be offkey 💀
She literally said she's not good at singing mate
@@ArceusDX I know, but I was hoping it'd be that situation where someone THOUGHT they weren't good, but they actually WERE good.
@@pain17ification_Ray_Smith No the whole "oh I'm not THAT good at doing so and so" **proceeds to do a perfect demonstration** is far too cliche
