Very good video, like all the ones you do. Although I have a question, having the MK2 PP version is it worth switching to the M3? The liners are the same, the final power is the same, I don't think anyone wants to shoot pellets at more than 880 fps or slugs at more than 1000 since the transonic zone is very unstable. What does seem like a success to me are the tolerances of the barrel and the magazine are smaller and that is something positive, but enough to change the platform? I do not think so. It is true that if I did not have the mk2 I would buy the M3. For me, spending money is not justifiable. I called the airgun store a couple days ago where I purchased my M3 in .25 caliber and asked about the slug power kit and was told the M3 didn't need it and that it was just for the M2. However, I keep seeing videos and forums where it is being used on the M3. I'm pretty sure I saw a video of Ernest Rowe adding it to an M3... I think in that video and other posts that the M3 didn't need to rubber ball and possibly not the lighter spring. If that is the case then maybe all one needs are the two spacers for more power on the M3? Maybe the slug probe adds more consistent slug seating but I can't see how the power would be affected much unless seating depth is important? It would be nice to get a consensus on whether or not the slug kit is needed and how much of a benefit one gets from the kit. Thoughts? Can you comment on how the gun performed prior to the slug kit vs after using the same ammo/slugs?
I have heard the same thing from some other people 🤔 some people also reported that there is already 1 spacer installed from the factory. Not sure if there has been a update on the M3 installing this from the factory already now compared to mine that is one of the first M3 to be made . If that is the case on yours then I guess the only thing you need is a slug probe 🤔

Thinking about switching my M3 from pellets to slugs. Do you notice more fouling in the barrel from shooting slugs then pellets? Do you have clean the barrel more often? How many shots before cleaning?
Nope , I barely clean my barrels. I do clean them when the gun is new from the factory and maybe if the accuracy starts to drop I do a quick dry pull true and that’s about it
the manual says dont exceed the 170 bar on regulator 1, when i sat my reg1 to 175-185 the reg fills up to 200bar if i leave it over night, maybe exceeding the 200 mark as well as i am limited to read only 200.
🤔 the first reg can go to 200 bar without issue. But there shouldn’t be any creep . I have my 1st reg set to 185-190 bar and have no problems creeping. The only time I have creep is when I come from outside to inside and change temperature. The air between the regulators heats up expands slightly pushing back on the first reg opening slightly until the pressure equals, 1or 2 shots usually fixes that . A fix to your problem if it’s different then mine could be a quick rebuild of your 1st regulator
Hey bud. I noticed on the video you were having trouble getting a low SD. I’m having exactly same thing. Looks good then start getting random high numbers. What’s your suggestion to fix this. Turning Valve knob slightly or micro wheel.
Yes it’s pretty hard to get it low , I don’t know if you have seen my harmonic tuner video on the private range ? Between this video and that one I spend a lot of time getting it better and I managed to get it much better . How I have done this is with opening the valve to number 5 then looking for the regulator pressure I needed and balance between the hs tension to get the velocity I wanted . Then I slowly turned in the valve until I sa the velocity drop . Added another 1/8 turn inward on the valve know and raised the regulator 2-3 bar . I tend to get a better es with pellets then with slugs but I think that’s due to the sealing of the skirts inside the barrel
Thanks a lot I appreciate your help. M3 is tougher to tune than MK2 for me. Still figuring it out. The barrel tuner looks like the way to go I’m thinking.
The FX mk3 gun that I am purchasing comes with a 25 caliber FX Smooth Twist X Superior (STX) barrel. I was told that I can shoot shoot 25 caliber slugs with this Barrel or do I have to go to the heavy liner? I was also told I need to pick up the Slug Power Kit w/Tungsten Hammer. Is this correct?
Maybe a stupid question, if i tune at high regulator presure, i get less shots. If i would turn the powerwheel down from 16 to 1, do i get more shots per fill?
Excellent videos, good I have informative💪🏼 Suggestion: I remove the rubber ball from the flow valve when installing the power kit and in your same setting I stay at 1020 fps with h & n slug of 30 grein. that allows you not to open the valve so much since the 3m has two rubber balls to hit the c1. it's just my experience friend. greetings from Chile ...
Yeah, the rubber ball is not needed and I found the factory spring to be a better fit with the valve effect changes made to the M3. I currently run mine with the front reg wide open and it is more consistent with fps spread.
@@Airbuks Super! So well install the huma sv2 transfer port and take out the extra hammer weight, it was just wasting more air. Your videos are appreciated💪🏼 a hug🤝🤝
I have a question, they say that the pressure of the capsule should not be lower than the pressure of the regulator, so how in the video is the pressure of the first regulator set to 185 bar, but the pressure of the capsule is lower about 160 bar, does this not cause the first regulator to fail?
Hi , what they main is that you can shoot below the pressure off the second regulator. The first regulator doesn’t matter . To explain a little bit : The first regulator in the bottle adaptor is to prereduce the pressure of the bottle and prepare it for the second regulator. The second regulator is setup to shoot , so the gun is tuned to be balanced to the pressure of the second regulator so if you keep shooting when the bottle pressure comes lower then the second regulator you are overpowering the valve and could damage it . Hope this makes sense
Awesome video I have my m3 22 700mm shooting zan slugs 33 gr at 1005 to 1010 fps first reg is 195 200 bar sec reg is at 165 bar pw is on 3 fine adjustment is on 3. 1/2 lines oh yeah that rubber ball i took it out of both of my fx mk2 and m3 to me it was causing inconsistent on fps
Hi mate hope all going great your end , I want to get shooting slugs 34 g ones at the moment 1st reg is at 180 2nd reg is at 150 ; macro is at 10 micro just over 4 on quick tune, valve is maxed out I am shooting jsb king heavies with that tune 34g very accurate at 90 yards FPS are 840 53FTLB is that right for the JSB heavies would you say?? Also got a power kit put in ?? But looking to use 34 g slugs now any suggestions thanks mate ..
What barrel length are you using ? With those settings you should get faster fps 🤔 With that tune 840fps can be accurate with pellets, although I like to shoot them around 880fps . To shoot slugs you need some more velocity in my opinion 🤔
I admit that I know very little about high powered air rifles and what they are capable of doing,as I watch this video I have no idea what is going on here and what the point is in all these adjustments that seem to never get to where you want it to be. All these adjustments on the gun seem to just be too many options that really seem to be unnecessary and complacated just to get at hitting a target and be accurate at doing so...but maybe im missing the whole point here,in doing all this is just fun and make you feel( lack of a better word) Smart? 🤔 I got interested in doing research of these new air guns with the power of actually using them to hunt medium and larger game without the big Bang that lets everyone know in a one mile radius that you are there....But after watching this video,I think I will just stick to my rifles and handguns, the ammo that they shoot do have several differences for types of game which do include grain amounts and distances but seem to be a lot simpler than All these issues with air power adjustments, guages, pellets vs slugs and their grains, and then all the parts to make these air guns work...A whole different world here...wish I was a lot younger, then maybe it would be worth getting to know both worlds...👍😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.
Just get a chronograph like everyone and do you own tuning. Not any two gun is the same. You can have a base tune but you’ll still have to fine tune it

@@SuperSamiam25 so you have the power block but no tungsten hammer then ? The reason I ask is that some places still have inventory from before the upgrades where announced
You need a lot more then a good tune to get it accurate 😉 do you have a tungsten hammer , brass reg piston to go to 170 bar + , cf liner sleeve , barrel tensioning kit ….. 😬 ?
@@saviofalcao670 I haven’t tuned mine to that as of yet but you could try 170bar on the second reg, valve at line 4+ ( 5 ) , macro on 16 and micro on 4 just be aware that 170bar is about the max capacity of the regulator
Hi mate.i have finally tuned mine to shoot 900fps as I'm scared to set the reg above 170bar ....it shoots great ..only question is there is a set screw near the trigger just before the second reg adjustment screw which is obstructing to put the Allen key in regulator screw.

By chance could you do a .177 tuned fx m3 shooting 20 grain slugs 🙏
🤔 not for the moment sorry

The FX mk3 gun that I am purchasing comes with a 25 caliber FX Smooth Twist X Superior (STX) barrel. I was told that I can shoot shoot 25 caliber slugs with this Barrel or do I have to go to the heavy liner? I was also told I need to pick up the Slug Power Kit w/Tungsten Hammer. Is this correct?
Hi! Just bought a M3 .35 cal what reg pressure do u recommend on Reg 1 and Reg 2?
Maybe a stupid question, if i tune at high regulator presure, i get less shots.
If i would turn the powerwheel down from 16 to 1, do i get more shots per fill?
Yes correct
Excellent videos, good I have informative💪🏼 Suggestion: I remove the rubber ball from the flow valve when installing the power kit and in your same setting I stay at 1020 fps with h & n slug of 30 grein. that allows you not to open the valve so much since the 3m has two rubber balls to hit the c1. it's just my experience friend. greetings from Chile ...
Thx for the tip mate , I will try that straight away , I installed it as it came with the kit 👍🏻
Yeah, the rubber ball is not needed and I found the factory spring to be a better fit with the valve effect changes made to the M3. I currently run mine with the front reg wide open and it is more consistent with fps spread.
@@Huben3DParts thx for the info 👍🏻
To explain a little bit :
The first regulator in the bottle adaptor is to prereduce the pressure of the bottle and prepare it for the second regulator.
The second regulator is setup to shoot , so the gun is tuned to be balanced to the pressure of the second regulator so if you keep shooting when the bottle pressure comes lower then the second regulator you are overpowering the valve and could damage it . Hope this makes sense
thank you you are the best
DO U SHOOT DOWN TO YOURE SECOND REG OR THE FIRST THANKS

Thx for the comment 👍🏻 other people commented aswel that the rubber ball isn’t needed , love to get feedback and improve my setup thx to it 🙏🏻
Hi mate hope all going great your end ,
I want to get shooting slugs 34 g ones at the moment 1st reg is at 180 2nd reg is at 150 ; macro is at 10 micro just over 4 on quick tune, valve is maxed out I am shooting jsb king heavies with that tune 34g very accurate at 90 yards FPS are 840 53FTLB is that right for the JSB heavies would you say?? Also got a power kit put in ?? But looking to use 34 g slugs now any suggestions thanks mate ..
What barrel length are you using ? With those settings you should get faster fps 🤔 With that tune 840fps can be accurate with pellets, although I like to shoot them around 880fps .
To shoot slugs you need some more velocity in my opinion 🤔
@@Airbuks Hi mate 700mm barrel. 25
What tune would you suggest to try ??
For jsb king heavies 34 gr, and 34 gr slugs ?? Thanks for your help ..
I got interested in doing research of these new air guns with the power of actually using them to hunt medium and larger game without the big Bang that lets everyone know in a one mile radius that you are there....But after watching this video,I think I will just stick to my rifles and handguns, the ammo that they shoot do have several differences for types of game which do include grain amounts and distances but seem to be a lot simpler than All these issues with air power adjustments, guages, pellets vs slugs and their grains, and then all the parts to make these air guns work...A whole different world here...wish I was a lot younger, then maybe it would be worth getting to know both worlds...👍😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.
please let me know how to set 953 fps on jsb 13.43grain pallets. 177 cal on fx m3 600mm barral.... please reply brother waiting your correct answers 🤔
Hi mate , I sadly enough can’t give you any settings regarding the 177 as I don’t own a barrel kit in the 177 caliber . But I might get one soon
@@Airbuks ohh... no problem... thank s for reply.
Just get a chronograph like everyone and do you own tuning. Not any two gun is the same. You can have a base tune but you’ll still have to fine tune it
Just received impact M3 .35 ca 800mm barrel all stock out of the box. What parts do I need for the slug shooting upgrade?? Very confusing.. Great video!! Thank you sir..
I don’t have much experience with 35cal but I think you could benefit from the tungsten hammer .
Did your M3 come with the new power block installed?
@@Airbuks It comes with everything all the new M3 come stock no up grades
@@SuperSamiam25 so you have the power block but no tungsten hammer then ?
The reason I ask is that some places still have inventory from before the upgrades where announced
Hello mate , please can you suggest me a tune to shot 40g .22 h&n slug ,thank you in advance ....like 950fps
You need a lot more then a good tune to get it accurate 😉 do you have a tungsten hammer , brass reg piston to go to 170 bar + , cf liner sleeve , barrel tensioning kit ….. 😬 ?
@@Airbuks i have tungsten hammer,
@@saviofalcao670 I haven’t tuned mine to that as of yet but you could try 170bar on the second reg, valve at line 4+ ( 5 ) , macro on 16 and micro on 4 just be aware that 170bar is about the max capacity of the regulator
@@Airbuks thanks
Hi mate.i have finally tuned mine to shoot 900fps as I'm scared to set the reg above 170bar ....it shoots great ..only question is there is a set screw near the trigger just before the second reg adjustment screw which is obstructing to put the Allen key in regulator screw. I think i just stripped the regulator brass screw because of that
hey bud any chance you can tell me if shooting 34 grain slugs is bad for your gun
It can handle 34 Gr very well 👍🏻
any chance you might know what reg pressure I'm looking at?

Didnt u observed hammer spring ovepower?
What exactly do you mean , after installing you need to retune the hammerspring offcours
@@Airbuks if I will use your approach to tune my gun(sniper M3) then I will have horrible incositency no matter what I will do. For my gun, if I need to shoot knockout 25.4gr. 300m/s(980fps), then open Valve MAX(6mm valve seat on mac/mic 1/1, FX slug kit with polish hammer/spring/rod, superior heavy barrel, carbon sleeve, harmonic tuner), set macro/micro to 8/3 an increase reg only. then I achieve avg:300m/s,spread:4,STD:0.8(21shots), if you touch PW then PW 10 if ne, 12 increase DEV and 14 and move is crazy(STD/Spread). I dont know on what BAR I m on 2nd reg because gauge broken but if you change only a spring tension then is it a spring over power(or behind progression)? I dont know...
which setting of m3. 177 cal.. 1sr reg? 2nd reg? microµ ads? valve? 13 grain pellets.

Hi mate when you adjust the hammer spring I noticed you don’t pull the bolt back first does this matter if you don’t as I thought any adjustments it had to be uncocked .
Thank you ..
Indeed any hammerspring adjustment must be made with the impact uncocked to prevent damage. Don’t get this the wrong way but I am not sure out off your explanation what you understand what’s uncocked .
If I would pull the bold back I would be cocking the impact 🤔

My plan is to tune to shoot slugs to maximum 30Grains .
My question: the standard barrel can be used to shoot slugs? If it can what the maximum slug weight is recommended?
Another question: after upgrading to slug power kit . All the the hammer weight is installed and slug pin probe and barrel is twisted and installed on slug air inlet, can you shoot pellets ?or once is upgraded to slug you have to shoot slugs only.?
Thank you I will appreciate if anybody can help to answer my questions.
👍😊

That is very difficult to explain mate in a message 😬
There are a few things to take in consideration, first is that the 25 cal is the most difficult one to tune for slugs . Why I don’t know 🤷♂️
Second it all depends on what parts you have in your setup?
@@Airbuks I have the pin probe for 25 cal installed, that's all
Everything else is standard as far as I know
Can't tune a barrel that's 3-6 months back ordered..
