My issue is the gun has been bugged on day one. The damn weapons projectile doesn't does any impact damage and that like 125 Medium Pen just not exisisting meanwhile the 125 damage from the explosion is dealt. You ever wonder there are not hit markers when you land direct hits with it ya know something that every other weapon does even if they don't have pen to and just deflect. For fucks sake its plasma based contemporaries the Scourcher and Plas Punisher have hit markers on direct hits how is this slipping past people?
@@BlahBohogunI see what you mean... that's crazy if it's not applying the impact damage of the projectile. Like what the actual fuck. I'll report this. You should too.
Shooting faster would be nice, but then it would just become a slightly different scorcher. If anything, I'd like it to do massive damage, and a bigger AOE. But honestly I'd take anything at this point lol
How about VARIABLE charge? Quick tap for flimsy pew with almost no aoe and barely enough damage to kill hunter in the head, hold for longer to increase damage and aoe up to oneshotting hive guards and bile spewers on 3 sec charge
It needs 2 modes of fire. Switch to Semi-Auto Mode to use it like a more powerful Scorcher. Switch to Charged Mode to build it up and fire a far more powerful projectile with a large AoE as it does now, but it needs to hit way harder. It's base stats can be used for the semi-auto mode. Will this make the Scorcher irrelevant? No. Lower the magazine's capacity to 10, and that automatically fixes the balance issues.
@@Baklavah1 if they add a function to quick swap firing modes, maybe. But Steirs idea is personally better in the sense that you don't need to think about swapping firing modes for different enemies, as you can quick tap for light enemies, and click and hold for harder enemies. It makes it a much quicker and smoother transition than trying to fumble around for a firing mode switch.
Balance changes needed: 1. Add 50 damage 2. Auto-fire (hold trigger and it fires at it's normal rate). 3. First round ready. The first round is ready to go and follow up shots need the charge up. 4. Polorized scope, Scope changed to have x2,x4,x6 is also clear of light effects from the weapon. synergies. 5. Electric armor trait mitigates all splash damage from plasma's
Can't agree, needs a lot more dmg. The charge mchanic is its whole identity, so it shouldn't be changed. The purifier shoul be closer to the crossbow than the scorcher.
Idk about first round ready and auto fire, holding the trigger and releasing between shot isn’t that big a deal I think the charge up time just needs to be a tad faster still. But absolutely needs a better scope and more damage, +50 seems right, but it needs to be able to deal with medium units like brood commanders in 2 shots and devastators in no more than 3. 2 shots for a warrior is also ridiculous those need to be one taps, however much damage increase is needed to make this happen is the amount it needs to be buffed and then it will be a really good weapon.
I still don’t like the weapon. It just doesn’t feel satisfying to use, and has little payoff for the charge time. I’m gonna say though, the AOE makes it a better horde clear than the scorcher, and the changes helped bring the purifier more in line with it. It is the perfect example of what a sidegrade should be. It has benefits over the original, but also has some changes and isn’t for everyone. And I certainly know that it’s not for me
Forcing players to wait 1s to charge up is the sure way to make it not enjoyable to use. Like, the effective RPM is similar to the Eruptor, so why does eruptor has 500+ damage, able to close fabs and holes and just slightly less AOE than purifier? Like they both can stagger and knock enemies back. The knock back power of Plasma Punisher is similar or greater than the purifier, so what's the point? Oh medium pen with knockback and larger aoe radius? That's such a niche use case that unless you are dealing with 6 hive guards back to back, any other weapon can perform better.
I actually still disagree that it's a good sidegrade. To most people it just will feel like a worse punisher without giving the gun a good payoff for charging the weapon. The weapon doesn't bring enough utility to warrant the rate of fire or the hindrance of charging( you can't run while charging) the only reason I see to bring it is for it's projectile path. The weapon needs another mechanic to make it more fun to use or it needs to hit harder to be worth the charge. I bet you'll barely see a difference in it's usage rate
@@renski8976keep the charge up the same. It makes it unique. Increase damage by 100 percent then walk it back if it encroaches too much on a support weapon.
@@RiceCubeTechand this is why most players shouldn't be developers. You're suggesting... A 500 damage weapon per shot with lots of ammo... Wtf? That's not balanced. The weapon simply needs a slightly damage increase, like make it 300 damage instead of 250 and it will become stronger but balanced
If you force players to charge up, you should at least give heavy armor pen AND higher effective damage. Otherwise youd have a reverse Eruptor (which is a cooldown) that does half the damage.
Purifier is kinda like the Eruptor in a way. They just decided to not make it as OP on launch, which kinda turned it into the modern day Eruptor. Sadge for both of them.
@@Tamachii12 Purifier has more range and more ammo. And it occasionally does one less shot to kill with the medium pen. It does slightly better against gunships than the plasma punisher. I still think the purifier needs another buff. Like maybe 50 more direct damage. That way it would be able to one shot headshot devastators.
I feel your sentiment. I love how the Purifier feels and plays, but it just lacks the power that a weapon which needs to charge every shot it fires should have. I'm loving the buffed Eruptor though, so glad to have it back in a usable state.
I liked the Purifier before but this patch functionally did nothing which is disappointing. Adding medium penetration was a great start but I hope they realize it needs a real damage buff. 1 shot Warriors and 1 shot headshot Devastators sounds like a good baseline.
It either needs another 100 damage, or half the charge time. Right now it does less damage than the arc thrower, with the same charge time. Idk if it has any major differences in breakpoints. But it functionally feels like a plasma punisher but worse in all ways except range.
I feel like they should lean more towards a sort of heavy weapon like the Eruptor or something. Make it do more damage, have more armor pen, break bug holes and fabricators. Turn it into some kind of pocket-railgun. Then the charge up would be more justified
I had a good experience with the buffed Purifier since I was trying it before, but then also noticed they buffed the Explosive Crossbow. Now using the CB over the Purifier due to higher damage, no chargeup. Pairs nicely with the new Bushwhacker.
It just feels to me like the purifier should be reworked into a dmr offering a higher damage and explosive splash offset by it's charges time maybe a bit more effective against heat sinks too (damage or pen) to make it competitive with scorcher and punisher
I think the purifier still needs an increase to it’s damage, to compensate for the charge up time. Sure it can shoot further than the plasma punisher, but the plasma punisher does more dps as compared to the purifier in the same time frame
@@Deadsnake989It needs to at least do 70-80% of a scorcher’s dps to offset the better ammo econony(from having more dmg) and the stagger it provides. It doesn’t kill things fast enough otherwise
I honestly think that the best way to buff the gun is the most direct: Just make it do a shitload more damage! When compared to the Eruptor, another high-power AoE, low RoF gun, the Purifier sees a little less downtime but less than half the damage. We might need a slightly longer charge to compensate, but I want this thing to do, like, 450 damage per blast. In its current state it's basically the Punisher Plasma with no arc, but at the cost of having to charge up, and that is NOT a fair trade in my opinion.
I think it needs a complete rework. The fire rate is similar to the Eruptor which you don't have to actively charge, can destroy fabricators, and does 570 damage now. I think they should make it so tapping fires 200-250dmg blasts, while charging powers it up, maybe up to 500-600 at full charge.
A positive indication in the game that the charge up cycle is complete would be great. The railgun is in a similar spot, the charging indicator is just not enough to reliably work with in the chaos of close quarters combat. The amount of times I release the mouse button a fraction of a second too soon and shoot nothing is what bungs me up with this gun.
I have to say, i respect your commitment to this weapon. All it needs now is either a faster ROF or enough dmg to 2-tap devastators and hive guards and 1-shot hunters. Well, lets hope for the best
After weeks of not playing, it was the first weapon I picked up post-buff and I thought my game hadn't updated. It's beyond bad. I basically played as if I only had my secondary and scavenged a breaker incendiary off a teammate. This gun needs a LOT of damage buffs to get it feeling OK to use, and maybe a whole different rework to make it feel FUN to use.
I dont mean this as shade since I have not used this gun much at all, but what do you find this gun does that something like the crossbow doesnt do? I am hoping people more experienced with it can give me tips/ uses this gun fits into as I currently do not see a niche it fits.
Nah the gun sucks I used it. it struggles to pop limbs off due to the type of damage it does. but sickle 10000000000 times better… no question it can cripple brood commanders it. pre update it was garbage after update it’s garbage. not seen a single person use it.
I thought when it was revealed that the Purifier would have had scaling damage based on how long it was charged. I thought you'd be able to spam it for puny damage but if you held it for a long time, you would basically charge up a mini quasar shot. I thought that would have been hype but they just made the charge time a negative rather than a positive
@@Mogz-hd From what I've seen of the Purifier, it seems to follow the same logic as the Punisher Plasma's shots, where the further the shot flies, the bigger the AOE and damage dealt on impact. I've accidentally destroyed small squads using it due to its buff, when I was expecting them to survive due to using it pre-buff. I enjoy using it both against bugs and bots, though mostly against bots, because it really chews into devestators, especially heavy devestators. Being able to throw them around with a primary weapon, when it normally takes something like the Autocannon to do that, makes you feel really good.
they need to change purifier for sure, either decrease charge up duration or increase the damage. YOu know What a cool edition would be? To have variabilty of damage according to the chargeup just like railgun. So it can also be used against hordes
Yeah.. scorcher is still my go to maybe blitzer or breaker for close range. But I agree.. needs a better scope.. Here's how I would change it.. I would give all guns new firing modes and changeable scopes. For the purifier I'd give it long range better faster charge, change the color to blue and make it less crazy, add armor pen direct hit impact, stun/stagger, more damage and a default fire with a single press that's weaker than the scorcher but the same and an overcharge feature like railgun.. and buff the rail gun feels like a musket rn. And I'd make the scorcher have a bigger mag (all guns should, honestly) and a rapid fire mode lol Either iron sights or 5x ACOG lol
Its honestly shocking in the video where he shoots a bile spewer 6 times before it dies. Also, it apparently does 250 damage but it can't kill a warrior in a single shot to the head when warrior heads have 110 health? I couldn't defend this gun even if I wanted to.
Honestly if it didn't stagger so much and had a slightly faster charge time it'd be a good crowd clear weapon. It knocking groups away from one another doesn't do any favors.
It's one of my favorite weapons, but it's just not doing it. It needs something else. Either more damage, or some utility; like maybe it leaves behind a plasma fire patch or something. IDK.
I'm an arc thrower nerd, and after not being able to find a cool weapon to base my personality on (Lib Concussive, I wish you could be actually exploding...), I tried Purifier out. I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. Compared to Scorcher AND Punisher Plasma it has way better ammo economy, it stuns the hell out of everything, even not on a direct hit. The range is amazing, it's just a PP with a different role - being more mid-long ranged.
Should have been a mix between the quasar cannon and scorcher, quick pull the trigger to fire weaker shots like the scorcher, or hold down the trigger to charge up but auto releases like the quasar cannon
A simple change which i think would help a lot is to just give it a 2 round burst. The charge time is offset by two fast consecutive shots. Thats all. Would speed up the time to kill and make it feel less shit to shoot, where youre firing slow single shots that dont have enough punch.
The day of the big patch I ran it on a few bot missions on helldive and noticed it's insane crowd control! It can stop heavy devs from shooting and it can 2 shot them if you fire at the legs. On top of that, it's got some kind of explosive property so it can damage heat sinks and gun ships! I now have a new found respect for this weapon as it helps to keep fellow divers safe! I'd even argue it's at least an A teir weapon, thats how much I love it!
Ite so hear me out fellow Purifier Enthusiast, I dont know if its a bug but I found that 4 throwing knifes to a chargers leg kills them (supply-backpack means 40 knifes, so basically 10 charger kills. Behemoth or not its 4 knives.) If you shoot away and get in the rythm chargers are the only thing stopping you from raining down a metric shitload of plasma. Also if you get too surrounded you can orbital ems yourself since you are standing still while firing most of the time anyway. EMS is dope and together with the purifier you basically become a super debuff for every bug. The small machine gun sentry is also awesome for shriekers and kills off everything that didnt die immedietly from the plasma aoe. Take some EATS and you have an emergency if you wiff the knives and of course for bile Titans. Switch Stamina Enhancement for experimental infusion. You want to get out quick since you usually tend to stay still and fire until something catches up to you and you need to stim or you hit yourself on accident. Stim it and zoom out of there. No Support Weapon of course since we are looking for the double barrel shotgun on the map (Its Garbage but so is anything else in this build so might as well gamble for it xD. Match made in heaven honestly) or whatever someone can donate. I am not saying its a good loadout but if you stick to it you can 100% hold your own. You gotta be a special kind of masochist to be into this type of Strat. Sounds like a lot of Copium I know but I love it for some reason.
they should give it unlimited ammo and manage overcharge like the Railgun. Also increase the damage it does. It just feels like a less reliable Scorcher to me.
Been using it for the past two days and its been great on 7 and 9. AOE attack on hunters, being able to stun and disrupt bile spewers attacks has been a blessing and making my team mates ragdoll by shooting near them has been a blast. Fun tip, holding down the fire button and letting the weapon charge up for a couple of seconds lets your character have a chance at screaming maniacally.
not too many primary weapons can get that effect, and it's one I love doing, and I saw a comment about it using the Quasar's 'fire when full charged', it would make it really awesome.
i use this and the eruptor fairly regularly. tip: aim at close target, dive backward, pull trigger on aimed target mid air, surf the blast wave backwardsa few meters. very gratifying with minimal self damage. purifying definitely requires impact fire nades to clear big bug hordes, surf back once or twice and purify. fav side arm is the new shotgun i run the gat turret, MG turret, medium MG, and typically air strikes. clearly a horde clear specialist. bullets down range baby. the eruptor is really my go to but the purifier feels better vs bots. the turrets tear things up while you CC the devastators
I want a hand held stratagem that does what the stalwart does. In a disposable capacity like the EAT with a short call down timer. I use the laser cannon. And sickle. Infinite ammo n dps. I used to also have the laser backpack. U needed stalwarts to do what the sickle does for me. And the gun in this video does the medium armour job like the laser cannon. Which drops medium bugs with headshots. I've been working towards a disposable build. EAT precession strike. Always cluster strikes. And I'd like to get a more disposable, with some stanima. Anti medium and light handheld weapons. With all my stuff droapable and short call ins. Opens up room to scavenge more of the other players' weapons. Because when you do switch. To ur own its only for a moment before its a paperweight. And that is where I also get some of my variety.
One other thing I would like to see is the ability to shoot at 0% charge and gain damage, penetration, and explosion radius as it charges. That, along with a damage increase to hit more breakpoints for 1/2/3-shot kills, would truly make it an S-tier weapon!
It needs a bit more dmg (330) , needs more zoom options, and it should be the first weapon with a passive. Enemies hit by the purifier are plasma charged (imbued with a purple glow effect) and upon their death from any source of dmg they cause a plasma explosion around that enemy. While enemies are plasma charged they take 15% more dmg from all sources. This way it can be more of a support weapon. Give it a role that doesnt encroach on the eruptor, bjudtify its charge up because it has a strong effect and be actually useful. You can target medium threat enemies, tap them once and move onto the next while your team mates who may have assault rifles, shot guns or any other weapon simply gun them down. Plus with the secondary plasma explosion from the marked units you can also offer single fire weapons a chance to clear the light units and give your team mates a form of crowd control via the stagger effect of the secondary plasma explosion. Asking for a bit much, but it would also be cool of the enemy killed by the secondary explosion is incinersted instead of s impoe carcass, because they were "Purified".
The Scorcher is infinitely better than this. It fires faster, it does more dps, you can fire without charging. They have almost the same splash damage and radius. I run the Scorcher with no support weapon, and am able to kill swarms, and every big enemy besides Bile Titans and factory Striders. I have no idea why this is in the game. I can't find a single reason to use this over the Scorcher.
Hi again Mogz! I just commented on your last Purifier video, thanks for your heart :D I can understand that you like this version less than the old one. Funny how I came across your old video first and seem to be late on your new conclusion :) Buuut now I have some questions. :P (Disclaimer: I have no interest in meta loadouts, all I wanna do is have fun - also Iam not at all an experienced player, I just love exploring new loadouts). When you say that the new version is more unforgiving then I dont understand why you leave out the jump pack. Mobility is now even more crucial. The stalwart for me seems to be a bit of an overkill in the crowd control/trash mob clearing department. How about changing it to either the standard medium MG to have a bit more firepower for medium targets? I love playing with turrets but I dont like to rely on them. EATs and the orbital rail cannon are both bad at medium targets. Id prefer the medium MG here. Also personally Id swap the orbital rail cannon for the 110cm rockets. I used them quite alot since the last patch and I dont get why you dont see them more often now. They pretty much consitently one shot-every charger and bile titan I came across since the viper commando release. I would love to hear about your experience with the 110cms. :) Another idea for a purifier loadout would be the supply bagpack plus the grenade launcher in combination with EATs and the 110cm (I think Ill try this one right after finishing this comment :D ) This would give you both crowd control/trashmob clearing/medium and heavy damage together. Youd lose the mobility in favour for LOTS of firepower. Gee! This is a fun topic to ponder about :) Greetings from Germany!
hey again my dude! fancy seeing you here! :) i'm in agreement re: disinterest in meta loadouts.. i too wana just have fun and experiment with new/interesting builds. Basically the only thing keeping me interested in the game these days tbh yeh so the jetpack is definitely still extremely useful.. actually during the Helldive I just ran, i grabbed a jetpack off a teammate mid-mission. However.. To explain the reason for the jetpack removal from my build: 1. I decided to switch out the laser cannon for the stalwart because i didn't need the medium armor penetration of the laser cannon.. and the main down side of the laser cannon is the charge up time, which results in a long time-to-kill for trash mobs. I prefer the stalwart for these, since it insta-fires and so is better for panic/close range situations like hunter swarms etc. 2. Because i switched the laser cannon for stalwart, i no longer found myself in situations where I needed to make a quick exit (bcs stalwart could get me out of those situations), and so i ditched the jetpack. That said - the jetpack is still very useful to get to high ground and give me some elevation with which to shoot down on groups with the purifier... but.... since the recent patch that buffed the Machine Gun Sentry... i thought that would be a great addition to the loadout to help with swarm cleaning... n then could get some extra bile titan killing potential by switching eagle air strike for railcannon strike. I think the biggest down side of the laser cannon build was the lack of bile titan killing potential.. n thats been totally fixed now.. so I think im much happier with the build overall. N if u dont like the sentry.. can easily swap it for an eagle air strike or something else that clears swarms -- just to reply to your statements individually: "The stalwart for me seems to be a bit of an overkill in the crowd control/trash mob clearing department. How about changing it to either the standard medium MG to have a bit more firepower for medium targets? " i didn't really understand the logic here.. Stalwart I consider to be a more "lightweight" option than the Machine Gun, since it has far more ammo and a higher fire rate... its also literally more light weight, and so better to use for small targets (very quick to swing n bring on target). Also u dont need the medium armor pen of the MG, cos purifier is for that... sooo.. stalwart works v well. 110mm rocket pods I've not used a huge amount.. but when I have used them I found them fairly unreliable.. i think mainly user error (i gota spend more time with them) but.. im just a huge fan of the railcannon strike bcs of how reliable it is. Its a guaranteed charger kill EVERY TIME, and can even 1 tap bile titans on occasion (if not, a couple of EATs + railcannon takes them out every time) and finally: "supply bagpack plus the grenade launcher in combination with EATs and the 110cm" yeh i think thats a great loadout. However, the main issue i think ul find there is with hunter swarms... or just stray hunters that sneak up on you (stalkers too.. oof)... as you dont have the stalwart or mg to quickly dispatch those... ul need to pull your sidearm for the hunters... and ul likely die to the stalkers. tho tbh.. if a stalker gets the jump on u its mostly nightnight regardless of ur build lol. But yeh... thats one of the main issues with the purifier - i always find I need either LAS CANNON, STALWART or MG to pair with it.. otherwise i feel very much handicapped. i agree - love talking/thinkin abt purifier & builds in general. good times
@@Mogz-hd Yep, hunters are a real problem with this GL build. Tested it today. But dude.... found out 2 interesting things today (one from a YT video and one by accident): If everybody in the squad gets the supply drop ready (ball in hand) and the host of the game throws it first and the squad waits until the supply has landed the next squad member can throw his and another one will come down. Now the next and so on. You always have to wait until its landed before you throw the next one and everybody has to have them ready before the host throws his first. So you can basically get 4 supply drops in a row. Of course this is an exploit and O guess it will be patched but after I saw it I tried it and it actually works. Another thing I didnt know is that the laser cannon can actually destroy bot fabricators. In order to do this you musnt shoot the vents but the open door. I dont know WHY I tried it but it imedeately exploded. Maybe this works with bugholes too? Havent tried it yet. Found out why I tried the "light show" loadout. Scythe, Dagger, Laser cannon, laser dog, orbital strike and orbital laser. The trick is to constantly lay down fire on the opponents and cycling thru the weapons whenever one is on the brink of overheating. It was actually quite fun and not that bad at all! In both matches I managed to have the second highest bodycount after the match and in the first one I had zero deaths. Oh and give the new "meth stims" together with the light medic armour and the jumppack a try. You can run arround like in a slapstic movie and take giant leaps. Actually quite fun! Greetings from Germany and have a beautiful sunday!
a good buff to it, is changing the firing mechanism from "hold the fire, finish the charge and release" to "hold the fire, immediately fire upon fully charged" the problem with this gun is that it the slowest firing gun within the game. by the time you finish charging and fire, other people with faster gun would have wipe out the enemies before your projectile hit them and when you are pinned down by horde of enemies, it just doesnt work because panic it doesnt help when it sitting at 250 damage, i would just pick the plasma shotgun over it, plas shotgun has faster fire rate, stun lock easier, same AoE, less ammo but it not a problem.
I wish they would also add some ui change for when its charged and ready to shoot, like a flash or reticle flashing red instead of the reticle just stoping
You should use this thing with the guard dog rover and use the HMG with it if you ever get overwhelmed pull out the HMG and use grenade pistol with stuns or use senator or redeemer with any other grenade. You’ll need to deal with the titans and maybe chargers with your stratagem slots (chargers excluded if you use stuns as you can stun and flank a charger with HMG and kill it real fast) With bots you wanna use a similar strategy but use the laser cannon because it’s really good at destroying the bots glowing weak spots at any range
I used the purifier last night a bunch on bots and I actually don’t hate it, the stagger, range/accuracy, and AOE is very solid for taking pressure off your team by stun locking devastators. They 100% need to fix the scope, and it needs a damage buff. idk how much more damage it needs, but whatever number allows it to drop brood commanders in 2 and devastators in no more than 3 is the number they need to put it at. 2 shots for a warrior is ridiculous on a medium armor pen charge up weapon, speaking of which I think the charge up time could also be just a little bit quicker, and then this would be a very solid gun I’d run often.
Damage buff to 300 is needed. In its current state i feel like this is designed to be played like a support role, flanking enemies. Plasma punisher to get up close and assault while the purifier is to engage enemies at range. I personally like to draw some distance from bots during engagement so the purifier feels ok with me.
I like the purifier. The buff really helped it out. I tend to use it more as a long range or stealth ambush weapon. Its very hard for people to visualize the impact this weapon has on enemies. While every shot might not be lethal you are still dealing damage to potentially multiple targets. That means your turrets, rovers and squad mates need to deal less damage to kill targets. I find the weapon works best when your in a defensive or hard to reach position in the back line like a sniper. The weapon's dps tanks when you have to kite. Its much faster when you can just focus on aiming and hitting your target. I normally let my squad mates go first and ghost around the battle field in stealth, popping out long enough to provide fire support. Turrets are great for that kind of game play because patrols will attack turrets and mines first if they see them before they see a diver. My goal with the purifier isn't to kill so much as its to hp tax enemies until something kills it. I like the verdict as a compliment as its strong enough to one shot head shot hunters and basic bots and double tap body shots. The purifier excels at killing dropship crews. A few shots can wipe a whole dropship clean of infantry before they even hit the ground.
I never hated Purifier. It was an ok gun, but highly outperformed by other plasma weaponry. After the recent it became better, but still needs one more push to become viable on its own. I would suggest 350-500 damage and class 4 armor penetration with the same or slightly longer charge time. Also adding it ability to destroy nests and fabricators alongside loot crates would make it an unical choice to choose in our loadouts.
If the purifier could close bug holes or factories then it would be a solid pick. But it just lacks utility vs everything else to choose from. Even shortening the charge by a full second would make it more viable. That fast shooting is why the Scorcher is so well liked.
Proposed Weapon Enhancement: Introduce dual firing modes to enhance the weapon's versatility without altering its damage output. Burst Mode: Enable the weapon to fire 2-3 consecutive shots at the existing charge-up rate. Rapid Charge Mode: Modify the weapon to discharge a single shot at an accelerated charge-up rate.
good ideas! as not-a-fan-at-all of burst fire modes tho.. i would prefer an unsafe kinda mode that let us do one big charge shot for extra damage and maybe blast radius. but yeh a faster firing mode would also be cool. tap to fire a low damage small blast radius shot similar to the scorcher.. but maybe an overall slower fire rate
I still think it should have had the highest damage value out of all the plasma weapons as its the slowest to fire. Purifier is similar to the eruptor where it has an aoe, medium armor pen, and a slow rof, but the only reason the eruptor isn't complained as much is because it feels like it has enough punch to compensate for its low rate of fire, something the purifier feels like it doesn't have
It feels a lot better after the patch. The beefier aoe thanks to the damage dropping off much less gives it the aoe it needs to clear chaff closer to competently, while the medium pen on the impact gives it closer to the power it needs per shot to justify itself. It just needs a quicker charge still. 1.3 seconds is just too long. If it charged in .8 seconds I think it would be in a good place. That would give it the further buff it needs while keeping it in the slower, charge requiring big brother to the scorcher place that I think it belongs in. The other path would be buffing the hit more, but then it starts to adopt a new identity that would require comparisons to the eruptor instead of to the scorcher and plasma shotgun. But maybe there would be something to making a halfway house to the eruptor in the vicinity of ~200 damage hit and 200 damage explosion. Or finally, maybe make the charge non required. Shoot it semi auto to get a scorcher but with a slower slightly arcing projectile. Full charge for .8 seconds to get the current 100/150 shot, or full charge 1.3 seconds for that 200/200 shot.
None of the plasma weapons should have a ball shaped explosion that reaches back towards where its fired from measured from the center of the impact point. Once the plasma bubble pops, it should behave more like a flamethrower puff with most of the bubble continue it's initial direction with just like 25% of its expansion to sides and top and bottom. If there was any 180' directed expansion it should be extremely small, like 20% relative to the in line direted expansion.
This may be radical, but the purifier should be given a sniper scope, has an auto cool down cycle (not having to hold the trigger to charge shots) and reduce its AoE explosion area to be wickedly revered marksman rifle. If I need to be holding that trigger down to charge up the energy of a shot, I should be doing eruptor type damage for the time spent between intervals
The plas-101 purifier still isn't very effective after the buffs It has medium 1 penetration (please correct me if wrong) so it does half its damage to anything with the same (or close to?) armor pen, if the explosion does 250 and the shot does 250 it should deal 500 damage to anything with light armor Problem is most bots have medium 1 - 2 armor and if they don't then they most likely don't have over 500 hp, for it's mediocre damage it doesn't feel like the super slow firerate is worth it Armor value problem? use it on bugs then? the purifier is meant to be used at high - medium range which in the higher difficulties of bugs isn't that common to stay like that for an encounter, unless you play in the backline (shoot behind/to the side of groups) So in my opinion it's either better for bugs or it needs an armor pen increase AH should really feel more free to tweek the numbers on weapons until they see it at a state they like, make it a limited time event of "experimental ammunition" on a certain few planets for a few days and see the results
Alternatively, make the charge up take less time (I think it's around 1.2 sec?), lower the damage, and let us keep charging to a certain threshold of much higher damage (and explosion size?), so you get rewarded for taking that time to charge Something like - Intial change time 0.5 - 0.4 sec Min damage 150 projectile, 150 explosion Min radius 30% less then now Mid charge 1.2 - 1.3 sec Mid damage 250 projectile, 325/300 explosion (slightly higher then now) Mid radius same as now Max charge 2 or 2.5 sec Max damage 250 projectile, 425 - 450 explosion Max radius 30% more then now At max charge its close to eruptor levels of damage (cant remember the eruptor armor pen values) so if its too high either increase to 2.5 or 3 sec for max charge and maybe lower total ammo count
It’s obviously a utility weapon much like the crossbow. Best thing to buff for it is either the aoe range or its fire rate. Damage can take a back seat.
This is great at staggering devastators and dmg buff is noticable. You will need good CQC secondary/support weapond compensate for the charge up time. I hated Plas-101 first, but I was starting to see it’s strenghts with AoE and push back stagger. Totally put me out of my comfront zone and I like that aspect to it. Plas-101 truly shines against Automatons.
I honestly think the purifier needs to become more like the Eruptor. Massive damage, massive AoE, but instead of spending the time to cocking the gun, you need a charge up mechanic, which is worse than bolt action due to inability to charge up on the run. Alternatively, decide if they want it to be a horde clear bombardment weapon or an armor penetrating one, since I could see use for just a straight up sniper rifle if the damage and AP were high enough to make it a worse AMR
bro tested the weapon and was able to actually make it fun, as well as point out the problems and admit why it's disliked. Great vid!!! I'd give it a 100 damage buff tho, alongside a 10%~20% faster charge speed, but reduce the mag from 15 to 10 (maybe 12? but 10 should feel more right). BAM, fun weapon. I think it needs a more powerful sound as well, feels a little weak... which I guess fits the weapon LOL.
give the purifier a railgun-style unsafe mode. Reduce its charge time to 1s, but nerf its damage + AOE a bit at charge level 1. longer you charge it bigger the explosion and damage, and if you charge it too long you blow up (like the railgun)
I love how other channels show some crazy gameplay or stuff like that and this is just slowly.methodically.shooting.bugs.over.and.over.and.over.again. this shit can be used like a sleeping hypnosis
Honestly, just remove the explosion entirely and make it shoot high-power bolts of plasma that will absolutely kill anything below heavies in 1 or 2 shots. Isn't that the point of modelling it off of the Quasar Cannon? We already have a lot of options for dealing with large groups. We need more primaries like the Eruptor (I know it's explosive, but at least it does deal massive damage to single targets), and Dominator.
DUAL MODES OF FIRE! give it a DMR feel for plasma, semi auto with weaker shots, and then hold trigger for the charge up shots, and give it a variable scope.
I wish you could shoot it without charging for lower damage and a smaller area, and charging costs more ammo, then increase the mag capacity to compensate. To feel like Megaman or Samus. Spray smaller weaker shots if you don't have time for a big one, and they don't have the splash radius to hurt you. Then you can charge for bigger blasts. This would be so much more fun and useful.
I'm a bot main who lives at Helldive, who liked this gun from the get go. That said, the only practical change I noticed is it being better vs groups of small enemies. Absolutely no change vs devastators, which is disappointing. Would not bring this gun to bugs, pls don't torture urself. If u hated this gun b4, u'll still hate now Mogz's review is spot on
was gona reply "100% agree" til i read the last line thank u :) glad u agree! i bring it mostly to bugs, but i agree its not ideal. Much better against bots than bugs 1000%
I love this weapon, only issue is you have to take a shieldpack, to help with the charge up. It's a more ammo efficient plasma punisher imo🤷🏽♂️ especially with the new striders because it takes like a whole mag in a half to take them out with plasma punisher.
This gun has the same issue I experience with the plasma punisher. I have my speculations as to what causes it, but when I'm not the host of the match, both of these weapons do significantly less damage. As in, they can't one shot a simple chaff bot, which they can easily do when I'm solo. Well, with the plasma punisher's faster fire rate, that's acceptable for me because I can actually keep them stun locked while I kill them. Not with the Purifier. I can't one shot any enemies outside Scavengers. Hence, this weapon is worthless to me. And for anyone about to say "host the match," I do. Being the party leader unfortunately does not determine whether the match is hosted from your Internet, if that makes sense. When someone joins my game, they typically take over hosting it, and I start lagging.
Apparently Purifier 1-shots warriors to the body. Maybe skill-shotting under the head and between the claws will 1-shot them? Purifier is now more useful against bots. Extra armor piercing makes gunships easier to shoot down with direct hits to the engine and it can strip factory strider chin guns (huge). The extra AP also helps when shooting heavy devastator back packs and I got the feeling (not confirmed) that chest shots are more reliable/1 less hit against devastators. More splash damage increases the range at which weaker enemies get killed from splash.
"Apparently Purifier 1-shots warriors to the body. Maybe skill-shotting under the head and between the claws will 1-shot them?" have never experienced this. and iv used it a LOT will do some very extensive testing now though n see if i can replicate what you've suggested.
i actually found it pretty effective against bots not so much against bugs because they will get in your face quickly, its a fun concept and an awesome looking weapon but desperately needs to be minimum 350 damage, the current dmg is on par with the blitzer which also stuns will save your ass in cqc and has infinite ammo.
I'd use it if it went the battery cooling vent route like the sickle for the ability to preserve ammo, could have been the first plasma weapon that uses that mechanic to set it out uniquely. Limited ammunition leaves me using something else and charge time leaves me rather using the punisher plasma or scorcher instead in it's place. Did not have fun using this weapon on higher difficulties with a lot of enemies.
1) unlimited Ammo 2) more damage (1-2 shot most enemies) Then we can talk. Has to be comparable to the Breaker incindiary or ARC12 (my favorite gun because it slays) for me to use this.. thank you for the informative video
I'd like to say that I have no mains, but I tend to use mostly explosive AOE and hard hitting weapons. I just can't get enough of them. But the purifier to this day, much to my disappointment, remains the exception. I am comparing it to the plas shotgun and the ROF equal to damage and charge up mechanic really isn't working for me. It also has a bad punish for when you time your trigger release too early. For it to improve, I would like it have a bit of hit damage, (the aoe damage is fine), and lose the hold-charge mechanic and let the weapon do it automatically when you have it on hand. Currently, it feels like a bad arc thrower that you have to do more work with to the point the using the weapon becomes tedious to use. Preferably, I'm hoping it could shoot like the crossbow.
It makes sense where it is at the end of a short warbond. A taste of power without being overpowered. But if you grinded the credits then you would be salty if it weren’t your play style to charge.
I think this weapon should have some kind of charg up mechanic like the rail gun. The longer you charge the bigger the Damage and AOE ... And as a downside, if you charge to long the weapon goes into a longer cool down period or you need to reaload, and you only got 2 reloads or something like that.
Just watching it already feels like a fretty bad weapon to use. Any charge-up weapon in this game just doesn't feel good to use. They're all too stuck up in regards to making weapons more effective
Weapon literally feels like firing Water balloon via slingshot.. hits about as hard as that too. Plasma for blast, take the punisher, Plasma for precision take the scorcher.
All it need is the same fire rate as Arc Thrower and it would be 100% better ady, because then it would be able to consistently stun lock devastators & berserker. Currently it sits on 1 shot per 1.3 second, while Arc Thrower is on 1 shot per second. Plus on FPS mode, the charging visual is blocking the scope.
The Purifier still needs a damage buff to make it better for single targets. That and better handling or RPM buff. I personally really want to like this primary but constantly find myself gravitating towards the other Plasma Weapons. It offers nothing of considerable value to take over the Plas-Punisher or Scorcher. Both options will either out preform it at Crowd Control or Single Targets. Its only redeemable quality is its effectiveness at longer ranges. However, considering the distance at which most engagements occur this is negligible at best.
I tried using it against both bots and bugs, and against the bugs it still leaves a lot to be desired and ultimately is overshadowed by the crossbow. Agaisnt the bots though it's quickly becoming one of my favourites for being able to reliably deal with walkers at any range and suppressing devastators and beserkers. I do feel a damage buff of even just 50 wouldn't hurt, though it could probably use with more.
if I get a single comment about the music being too loud or whatever I might just use the purifier to blow myself up
It was quiet enough/just right, blow that teammate up that still says "ew, you picked the purifier" instead.
It was impossibly loud, so loud, like I have tinnitus man
@@Mr.Krimpysame
Two buffs:
- Faster charge.
- Possibility to shoot faster with a minor damage and aoe.
@@Steir12 now that, my good sir, sounds awesome. A unique weapon with two different styles of firing, sign me up!
Balance changes needed:
1. Add 50 damage
Agree with all but the 5th: Plasma is heat (a lot of), not electricity.
these changes are perfect and absolutely needed!!
Yeah using this against bots is impossible because of the recoil from being hit by bullets while charging
@@SAVAGENEDVED Pretty sure none of explosive weapons are good against bots anyway aside from erupter and crossbow maybe
Purifier and Scorcher ccould be a single weapon. Aternating fire modes.
I wish it could also auto-fire once it reached the max charging time similar to quasar. It will greatly lessen the fatigue from clicking.
From keep pressing the R2 button and remembering the timing.
I like the bigger control you have now as when you want to shoot but they could easily add it as a fire mode like full auto and semi-automatic
Make it an alternate firemode. Being able to hold your shots is useful as hell sometimes.
The fatigue from clicking?
@@el-low6663 Our fingers get tired from clicking the mouse. As we release the charge some also use a bit of effort on releasing the button.
Even if they gave it unlimited ammo I would still never pick it.
You'd still probably die before emptying the damn thing, the charge speed is too slow imo. They need to buff the damage or reduce that charge speed.
@@renski8976keep the charge up the same. It makes it unique. Increase damage by 100 percent then walk it back if it encroaches too much on a support weapon.
@@RiceCubeTech that works too.
Its for The more patient helldivers
I still prefer the punish plas over this weapon. If it could deal more dmg or penetrate heavy armor or something different. I would use it over plasma
If you force players to charge up, you should at least give heavy armor pen AND higher effective damage. Otherwise youd have a reverse Eruptor (which is a cooldown) that does half the damage.
The plasma shotty has the same damage and higher fire rate, why people would people would pick the purifier over the plasma shotgun puzzles me.
Purifier is kinda like the Eruptor in a way. They just decided to not make it as OP on launch, which kinda turned it into the modern day Eruptor. Sadge for both of them.
Maybe a quicker charge and more damage. But adding heavy armor penetration would make this a support weapon, not a primary.
Like it's an railgun from super-wish
@@R-XI_Sulla yeah lol
However it did get shadow buffed and now consistently one shots scout striders.
I liked the Purifier before but this patch functionally did nothing which is disappointing. Adding medium penetration was a great start but I hope they realize it needs a real damage buff. 1 shot Warriors and 1 shot headshot Devastators sounds like a good baseline.
Yeah, it needs to one shot Hive Guards and one shot Devastators to the groin weakpoint to be worth using, minimum.
It either needs another 100 damage, or half the charge time. Right now it does less damage than the arc thrower, with the same charge time. Idk if it has any major differences in breakpoints. But it functionally feels like a plasma punisher but worse in all ways except range.
Hey he finally admitted the gun needs buffs and changes, congratulations.
Tenderizer still go to pick
@@LarryPigeon1that gun is mid
He still has like 7 steps to go.
Tenderezer is good mostly its just an AR so it needs more magazines like all ARs do cuz the ammo eco is horrible
@@SuperVideoman2012 hell no. Already way too much ammo in the game. rarely run out of ammo on suicide.
Grenade pistol is literally better than this gun.
That's sad. But very true. The Senator is probably better in most cases as well.
Grenade pistol has too little ammo
Ammo and reloading may disagree with you
Not with supply backpack
Stop saying that, they may nerf the grenade gun
I feel like they should lean more towards a sort of heavy weapon like the Eruptor or something. Make it do more damage, have more armor pen, break bug holes and fabricators. Turn it into some kind of pocket-railgun. Then the charge up would be more justified
I had a good experience with the buffed Purifier since I was trying it before, but then also noticed they buffed the Explosive Crossbow.
Now using the CB over the Purifier due to higher damage, no chargeup. Pairs nicely with the new Bushwhacker.
Since they buffed the explosion dmg, it can now do objectives too!
Specifically bugholes and fabs
The purifier is the dumbface with the tongue out in the 3 hydra heads meme, the other two normal heads are the punisher plasma and the scorcher
purifier is a poopybum brain and the punisher plasma and scorcher are dumb stoopid heads
Facts.
Either increase the damage, or cut the charge time in half. I'd be happy with either change, although I would prefer it it had more damage.
They should buff the damage to 350 or something
Ngl, the purifyer would be good if it fired a high damage bolt instead of an explosion.
I have to say, i respect your commitment to this weapon.
All it needs now is either a faster ROF or enough dmg to 2-tap devastators and hive guards and 1-shot hunters. Well, lets hope for the best
Purifier is the Brokeback Mountain JAR-5 Dominator
I love that it can shoot down the gunships. And I play this with the jetpack and flamethrower against bugs
I thought that would have been hype but they just made the charge time a negative rather than a positive
yeh i think they mustv ended up deciding not to do that.. maybe was the original plan but opted against it. woulda been cool tho for sure
Being able to throw them around with a primary weapon, when it normally takes something like the Autocannon to do that, makes you feel really good.
they need to change purifier for sure,
either decrease charge up duration or increase the damage.
And I'd make the scorcher have a bigger mag (all guns should, honestly) and a rapid fire mode lol
Either iron sights or 5x ACOG lol
This gun should 3-4 shot all medium enemies. Its so under powered
The worst weapon in the game by some stretch. I have tried it twice, once on release and again after the buff. It’s terrible.
Its honestly shocking in the video where he shoots a bile spewer 6 times before it dies. Also, it apparently does 250 damage but it can't kill a warrior in a single shot to the head when warrior heads have 110 health? I couldn't defend this gun even if I wanted to.
It was terrible even on medium difficulty. No way I'm bringing that to higher ranks
Honestly if it didn't stagger so much and had a slightly faster charge time it'd be a good crowd clear weapon.
It knocking groups away from one another doesn't do any favors.
The music makes it sound like the purifier is his lover on some dating show
I totally agree about changing the scope because when I try to snipe with the purifier, I miss by an inch and the explosion doesn't affect them.
It's one of my favorite weapons, but it's just not doing it. It needs something else. Either more damage, or some utility; like maybe it leaves behind a plasma fire patch or something. IDK.
It's called the Purifier but it's far less useful than an air purifier
I'd even argue it's at least an A teir weapon, thats how much I love it!
exactly brother!
Ite so hear me out fellow Purifier Enthusiast,
I dont know if its a bug but I found that 4 throwing knifes to a chargers leg kills them (supply-backpack means 40 knifes, so basically 10 charger kills.
How does it compare to the plasma punisher?
see my prev purifier vid for that
I have officially MASTERED the PLAS-101 Purifier in Helldivers 2
th-cam.com/video/kscBxstwR1E/w-d-xo.html
i use this and the eruptor fairly regularly.
tip: aim at close target, dive backward, pull trigger on aimed target mid air, surf the blast wave backwardsa few meters. very gratifying with minimal self damage.
purifying definitely requires impact fire nades to clear big bug hordes, surf back once or twice and purify. fav side arm is the new shotgun
i run the gat turret, MG turret, medium MG, and typically air strikes.
clearly a horde clear specialist. bullets down range baby. the eruptor is really my go to but the purifier feels better vs bots. the turrets tear things up while you CC the devastators
So it's a much worse version of the R-36 Eruptor?
The Scorcher is infinitely better than this. It fires faster, it does more dps, you can fire without charging. They have almost the same splash damage and radius. I run the Scorcher with no support weapon, and am able to kill swarms, and every big enemy besides Bile Titans and factory Striders. I have no idea why this is in the game. I can't find a single reason to use this over the Scorcher.
Hi again Mogz!
I just commented on your last Purifier video, thanks for your heart :D I can understand that you like this version less than the old one. Funny how I came across your old video first and seem to be late on your new conclusion :)
Buuut now I have some questions.
Another idea for a purifier loadout would be the supply bagpack plus the grenade launcher in combination with EATs and the 110cm (I think Ill try this one right after finishing this comment :D ) This would give you both crowd control/trashmob clearing/medium and heavy damage together. Youd lose the mobility in favour for LOTS of firepower.
Gee! This is a fun topic to ponder about :) Greetings from Germany!
hey again my dude! fancy seeing you here! :)
i'm in agreement re: disinterest in meta loadouts.. i too wana just have fun and experiment with new/interesting builds. Basically the only thing keeping me interested in the game these days tbh
yeh so the jetpack is definitely still extremely useful.. actually during the Helldive I just ran, i grabbed a jetpack off a teammate mid-mission. However.. To explain the reason for the jetpack removal from my build:
N if u dont like the sentry.. can easily swap it for an eagle air strike or something else that clears swarms
--
just to reply to your statements individually:
"The stalwart for me seems to be a bit of an overkill in the crowd control/trash mob clearing department. How about changing it to either the standard medium MG to have a bit more firepower for medium targets? "
i didn't really understand the logic here..
Its a guaranteed charger kill EVERY TIME, and can even 1 tap bile titans on occasion (if not, a couple of EATs + railcannon takes them out every time)
and finally:
"supply bagpack plus the grenade launcher in combination with EATs and the 110cm"
yeh i think thats a great loadout.
Greetings from Germany and have a beautiful sunday!
a good buff to it, is changing the firing mechanism from "hold the fire, finish the charge and release" to "hold the fire, immediately fire upon fully charged"
the problem with this gun is that it the slowest firing gun within the game. by the time you finish charging and fire, other people with faster gun would have wipe out the enemies before your projectile hit them and when you are pinned down by horde of enemies, it just doesnt work because panic
it doesnt help when it sitting at 250 damage, i would just pick the plasma shotgun over it, plas shotgun has faster fire rate, stun lock easier, same AoE, less ammo but it not a problem.
You’ll need to deal with the titans and maybe chargers with your stratagem slots (chargers excluded if you use stuns as you can stun and flank a charger with HMG and kill it real fast)
With bots you wanna use a similar strategy but use the laser cannon because it’s really good at destroying the bots glowing weak spots at any range
R-button select for 'fire on full charge' would be neat.
How it reacted to being hit changed as well. It stunned/backed . B4 it was side jumping.
Class 4 armor pen is below chicken Waller front plate which is 5. most medium gun have a armor pen of 4.5 or 5 which is average midium armor
If the purifier could close bug holes or factories then it would be a solid pick. But it just lacks utility vs everything else to choose from. Even shortening the charge by a full second would make it more viable. That fast shooting is why the Scorcher is so well liked.
before any buff it just felt like a same thing as the other simular gun but slower to shoot and thus out damaged by it.
Proposed Weapon Enhancement:
Introduce dual firing modes to enhance the weapon's versatility without altering its damage output.
Why the Purifier instead of the Eruptor ?
None of the plasma weapons should have a ball shaped explosion that reaches back towards where its fired from measured from the center of the impact point.
Once the plasma bubble pops, it should behave more like a flamethrower puff with most of the bubble continue it's initial direction with just like 25% of its expansion to sides and top and bottom. If there was any 180' directed expansion it should be extremely small, like 20% relative to the in line direted expansion.
Just make it a charge sniper.
The plas-101 purifier still isn't very effective after the buffs
It has medium 1 penetration (please correct me if wrong) so it does half its damage to anything with the same (or close to?) armor pen, if the explosion does 250 and the shot does 250 it should deal 500 damage to anything with light armor
Problem is most bots have medium 1 - 2 armor and if they don't then they most likely don't have over 500 hp, for it's mediocre damage it doesn't feel like the super slow firerate is worth it
Armor value problem? use it on bugs then? the purifier is meant to be used at high - medium range which in the higher difficulties of bugs isn't that common to stay like that for an encounter, unless you play in the backline (shoot behind/to the side of groups)
So in my opinion it's either better for bugs or it needs an armor pen increase
AH should really feel more free to tweek the numbers on weapons until they see it at a state they like, make it a limited time event of "experimental ammunition" on a certain few planets for a few days and see the results
Alternatively, make the charge up take less time (I think it's around 1.2 sec?), lower the damage, and let us keep charging to a certain threshold of much higher damage (and explosion size?), so you get rewarded for taking that time to charge
Something like -
Intial change time 0.5 - 0.4 sec
Min damage 150 projectile, 150 explosion
Min radius 30% less then now
Mid charge 1.2 - 1.3 sec
Mid damage 250 projectile, 325/300 explosion (slightly higher then now)
Mid radius same as now
Max charge 2 or 2.5 sec
Max damage 250 projectile, 425 - 450 explosion
Max radius 30% more then now
At max charge its close to eruptor levels of damage (cant remember the eruptor armor pen values) so if its too high either increase to 2.5 or 3 sec for max charge and maybe lower total ammo count
Great video! Yeah, the Purifier just needs a little buff, and a total rework of its scope.
It’s obviously a utility weapon much like the crossbow.
Best thing to buff for it is either the aoe range or its fire rate.
Damage can take a back seat.
Uility weapons are sh17 your primary source of damage shouldn’t gimp you.
@@unifiedhorizons2663 your opinion is a little outdated since they already decided to make utility primary weapons.
@@epgamer1145 so that why i still see breaker spam and sickle spaM
If u hated this gun b4, u'll still hate now
Mogz's review is spot on
was gona reply "100% agree" til i read the last line
thank u :) glad u agree!
i bring it mostly to bugs, but i agree its not ideal.
Maybe skill-shotting under the head and between the claws will 1-shot them?"
have never experienced this. and iv used it a LOT
will do some very extensive testing now though n see if i can replicate what you've suggested.
How is this weapon after the buff divers update?
That weapon sucks. Way to long of a charge up for very little damage.
The scope should be ontop of a ris riser to push it up and above the energy swerl.
I wish it could automatically fire when you fully charge the gun, just like the quasar cannon, It would be a breeze to shoot and more consistently too
i actually found it pretty effective against bots not so much against bugs because they will get in your face quickly, its a fun concept and an awesome looking weapon but desperately needs to be minimum 350 damage, the current dmg is on par with the blitzer which also stuns will save your ass in cqc and has infinite ammo.
Use the Bushwacker. Does really good at quickly clearing a few things that get too close to you.
1) unlimited Ammo
2) more damage (1-2 shot most enemies)
Then we can talk.
"So in my new purifier build i bring the stalwart so i dont have to use the purifier" - Peak logic right here
purifier is my medium armor penetration
stalwart is my light armor penetration
