Your video on building a battleship has helped me understand how to build one and the music you picked out is top teir for making it feel like its in space, space engineers has a weird sense of fulfillment because its so open to build what you want it makes it nore fun to play my main goal is to build a ISD from star wars
Seems like you don't mind using mods. You should get the +1000% multi lang gyroscope mod and the Epstein drive mod, so you don't need to build thruster balls filled with gyroscopes to make your ships fun to fly.
Sounds like fun for personal builds. Thanks! For videos I’m strictly sticking to mods that can be replaced with vanilla solutions without losing basic function.
It's not quite a 3x3 area - more like 1.5 x 1.5 but alternate spacing would still work with that. No critical reason for having them densely populated other than appearance and repair speed.
are you going to put a button for the wielder area on the ship so they are not going to be on all the time or are they going to be running always? also if anything is going on the other side of the wielder pad if so are you going to put a path maybe around the wield pad?
There’s going to be a button panel in the hangar for welder and door control so they’re only on when someone is manning the buttons. They’ll be also controllable from the bridge. There is going to be something further forward but access to that area will be for repairs only. The side hangar welders will also have button control and sensor activation, but a lot of the extra features like those will be worked on in the main series.
Deuterium Fusion Reactor, Weaponcore with MA weapons pack, and shields are just called Defence Shields. I've got a couple of videos on those mods in a playlist along with these build videos.
@Psy-Prime thanks! I can't wait to add these. I am loving the series so far. It's great that you let the new person discover and try things. And then, after he flips the rover, you show him how to fix it. I can't wait to finish watching the rest.
Ah I see what you mean. Yeah this tutorial was never meant to be a straight follow along - the ship is on the workshop for anyone who wants one. This was intended more to build the principles that I use to design your own ship with complexity. Sorry for any confusion. Having said that, someone did actually manage to reproduce the Genesis before I got it on the workshop. Props to them!

Thank you very much! Really appreciate that. Keep building!
Is it gonna be 1:1 scale?
How did it go?
That side hanger is like one of my fighters per 😂
dam thats gonna be a tight fit for ships in the hangar
Perfect fit for small grid fighters
I went with more of the Daedalus shape for the hangars and I plan on sticking a thruster pack on each hangars, thanks for the help !
Great design choice! Would love to see what you come up with if you get chance to upload something.
I will haha

@@Psy-Prime understandable, thanks for the video
welders do a 3x3 area right, so why not space them two blocks apart?

What mods for the reactor, shields, and weapons?
Deuterium Fusion Reactor, Weaponcore with MA weapons pack, and shields are just called Defence Shields.

are these ships gunna be on steam workshop
That’s the plan. At the end of the series we’ll do a roundup and release of the best builds from 2 Idiots on a Mission.
Im just coming back to the game, what mods are you using?
There’s a full list in the description for part 1: th-cam.com/video/Ygr7lis6iTQ/w-d-xo.html

THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL -.-
It’s part of a 4 part tutorial.
@@Psy-Primesorry for the caps. No i mean is like you build the ship but missing too many parts, cant re-build it by looking the video
