  • In today's video we're back racing the Formula Vee's on iRacing around the Tsukuba Circuit. After a difficult time out in the Vee's on a recent live stream, I'm back with a vengeance, with a brand new mindset, whilst also working on my driving technique, to try and reduce the amount of understeer I seem to be getting. Whilst this one didn't really get off the best of starts, I had so much fun chasing down the pack in front. But will we have enough time to make up any positions?

Good race, love the formula Vee series, even it is a bit scrappy sometimes. Just for reference as we're all learning, I highly recommend Sambo iRacing channel for vee specific track guides and driving tips. He's top of the series standings currently and an absolute alien in the vee. I eventually got into the mid 1.05's with his Tsukuba guide.

Cheers. I’ll check him out. Like I’ve said before you really can throw these cars around more than you think, it’s just having the confidence to do it

you have to get out of rookies, its brutal down here - ive been on the service for 11 years and race IMSA the A series and the IMSA Endurance series - i promise its not like this once you get out of rookies. Some series like F4 and F3 are nuts but the longer races and harder cars usually have better racing.

Yeah, I’ve said a few times I’m kinda torn between staying at the back to build SR and actually competing in races. The idea of the SR route isn’t that appealing so it’s striking a balance

I remember i really liked this track when i did it a couple months ago i want to buy iracing again at some point and try getting into the 1:04's. I also want to see if im faster with using paddles instead of a h shifter

They really are fun cars to drive, can be hard to catch back up if you get involved in something, but fun none the less. The track is good fun but it’s challenging in the braking zones because of the cambers and the slight crests, but a really fun challenge

@@nock-racing yeah true always got to keep in that slipstream but strangely starting further back on the grid is less detrimental than in other cars. Also I remember using the camber a lot in turn 2 instead of avoiding it

@@Jacobmathews. well, the back certainly gives you more time to react to everyone wrecking in front 🤣
