    My Red Ears are 10”, 8.5” & 8”obviously feed bites according to turtle comfort swallowing. To get your turtle to eat fish, greens, fruit wait a few hours after they normally eat. I cut mango & apples up & microwave a few seconds so it’s a little softer. I boil fish to kill anything that might harm my turtles. It also makes it easier to eat. Be careful they love fish and will keep eating until the cows come home. That’s a long time cause I don’t have any cows 😂😂😂😂

    • @TheTurtleGirl

      Hmm...if it's an auto feeder that makes it a little more tough. They'll probably be fine by just make sure the autofeeder won't overfeed them and just do a water change as soon as you get back.

    I was wondering if turtles need a hideout in their cage? Like a place to hide in case they feel startled or unsafe for any reason (such as guests coming over) or do they not mind??

    • @samuelnunez2842

      I would definitely add one. They can hide when they want, then come out if they're comfortable!

    • @TheTurtleGirl
      @TheTurtleGirl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A hideout can mean different things...I'd be careful about caves since they could potentially get stuck - but things like live/fake plants and other decor that they can hide in and behind are great and can make them feel secure!

    When moving a snapping turtle pick them up from behind not the sides, And do not change the direction that it is going to.

    Omg I don’t think I can go through these without getting upset! I love your videos but the way your a big help I also have a few questions about the dubia roaches because I’m gonna get some soon and I can’t quite find any answers but here are my questions:
    how often do you feed them? And spray them with water? And like the basics of taking care of them and like should I feed them everyday? Or like should i gut load them every time I feed them? Sorry if it’s a lot I just don’t want them dying on me when I get them😭 if anybody has answers please lmk ok that’s it lol

      I spray them down every evening and also offer them some sort of vegetable or fruit every night...usually carrots, apples, oranges, that kind of thing - you can also buy dubia road gut load with works too!

    Hello uhh my turtle I believe is blind and always looks for food nosing around on the sand even if I give her floating food she just cant eat it and usually goes on top of the sand… I was wondering what did you feed your hatchling musk turtles with? It wasn’t floating on water and that’s what exactly I need! Can you please tell me the brand of the food? Also I saw the food on the other video you made about them if you respond back Thank you! :)

    I think common musk turtle are the best pet turtle cause they are smol. Other common pet turtle like red eared slider and pink bellied sideneck always grow huge.
