I wish my daughter had you as a teacher. She is 17, has ADHD and taught herself how to read using subtitles on her favorite movies. Her favorite movie was The Black Cauldron. She wanted to be a Disney princess for many years. She's settled on being a wedding planner! She will be a senior this year and I couldn't be more proud of her. Her brother who has a gap year this year, did full IB. He will attend Western come Spring. They are both two of the best gifts I have been blessed with. Please keep making your videos and sharing your tips and tricks for saving money💜🦋
I'm 50, I loved franklin & still watch lil house on the prairie and I enjoy your book hauls💕I loved reading with my three boys. I'm holding onto the books for grandkids! Thanks.
Oh my gosh, I love The Dark Crystal!! I have the movie still and it is actually one that my kids love watching also. they love all the movies and shows from my childhood. what an awesome find!
Omg, I'm a teacher and used all the books with cassettes you found. I have them in my storage unit. As a matter of fact I just added several others in a bag to bring to goodwill.
I like all the books you have gotten. I love Berenstain Bear books too. I have alot of Dr. Suess books. I read to my children when they were little and both are avid readers.
We went to a neighborhood garage sale last week. It was almost over so everyone had their unsold items on the side of the road for Goodwill to pick up. My dad and I went through the boxes and I found a COACH PURSE. It was authentic and in brand new condition. I got it for free off of the side of the road. So insane!!
the red basket is from a tractor supply store they also sell eggs like that aswell great fine. thanks fir sharing the eggs are 2 in a pack for 3.99 and the basket was 12.99 here in Fl.
If I remember correctly, wasn't the cassette the movie soundtrack? For some reason I remember buying that as a teenager because I loved the soundtrack and that was the cheapest way to get it.
Love your videos. I'm a big fan of thrift shopping & garage sales. I was born in Niskayuna & lived in Galway as a child. My grandparents owned a variety store there for a long time. We moved to Boston when I was 6 but I spent every summer in Galway until I was 16. It's always been "home". I love upstate.
I love The Dark Crystal as well. You could use the magazine basket to hold your cutting boards in the kitchen. My sister told me that Arthur's grandfather caught some disease that caused him to lose the traditional aardvark nose. Have you heard that? I love watching Arthur on PBS still. Dorothy Winifried (D.W.) is funny.
The struggle is real with that top. Not sure why it decided to rebel--looks like a great fit and style! And at least there were no major wardrobe malfunctions. 😁 Sometimes when you pick up these books I'm like, "I remember that!" I know I read "Jambo Means Hello." Another African one to be on the lookout for is one called something like, "Why Do Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears?" I know there's a cassette version--I remember I used to read/listen to it every couple of weeks when I was in 2nd grade, ca. 1989.
hi kieren I remember standing in line waiting to see E.T. I saw that at the cinema, 7 times! And I cried everytime! the dark crystal was also one of my favourites too! Have you ever seen the The Dark Cauldron by Disney? Love that cartoon too! My children and I used to watch Arthur and Franklin on TVO when they were little, best channel for kids! TFS your finds, have a great weekend!
Love your video girl, keep it up! Us thrifty-types have to stick together!! Just curious-- how do you find garage sales around you? What resources (specifically) do you use? (Craigslist, newspaper, etc?) Could be a video idea!! =)
Not sure if you've seen this, but there IS going to be a Dark Crystal series, on Netflix. arstechnica.com/the-multiverse/2017/05/new-dark-crystal-netflix-series-could-be-exactly-what-we-all-need/
