@@Gtownblues555 absolutely. I used the dewaxed garnet shellac on all of the bodies that I have done. The only difference was the amount used “the lb. Cut”. I started with 2lb and ended up using 1lb. Seemed to be more manageable and not as thick when applied. I bought them from eBay. Seller is wellermart. Very high quality shellac. I believe I bought the half pound for 17 bucks and it is way more than enough for many many guitars. 🎸 hope this helps. Thanks for subbing !!
@@Gtownblues555 good question. Aren’t Those are normally maple? I assume you could do that. I think it would turn out good. I was just going for an old look. A little blonde base with some light orange could make it look really old. I am by no means a pro. I have only done these three kits but I think you would be on the right path.
Yeah man. Love the natural wood against the black stinger. Good job, keep it up!
@@joehusband8479 thanks man. You can’t beat that natural shellac back in my opinion. Looks so classic.
Can I ask what color of shellac you used in your mix? Looks great!

One more question, what would you use for a fender neck, repeated coats of blonde shellac with a little orange/garnet? Thanks
