Steve, wanted to let you know I just finished the walk. Thanks to your video. Beautiful scenery, we got lucky with the weather and saw dolphins as well.
Much respect to you two. Coastal walking is stunning but much harder than you'd think, that 15 miles plus ascent and descent is probably equivalent of 20+ regular miles. Really interesting little harbours and rock features. I do love Alicija's Polish/Scots accent too 🥰
I was literally up here on Tuesday! Never went to all six but we done Cullen to Portsoy and back after watching your last video of this coast! Gorgeous part of the world, that doesn’t seem to get much love! Thanks again, guys!
How lucky are we Steve to live in such a beautiful place here in Scotland and in the UK x great video certainly has put me in the mood for a wee trip x
Really enjoyed this video mate. The weather and scenery is absolutely second to none! The shot at the end of the video of the sun was top notch 🏴☀️
Stunning views of stunning sea villages. As a Scot I am ashamed that as far as I can remember I never visited any on those places. But the design and style of the harbours and gable end houses is just ubiquitous. Well done.
Cheers Alex! Oh don't feel bad, we were the same to be honest, but definitely a worthy addition to the videos list and a good old race against the sunset :)
Absolutely a stunning video again. @3:15 you are jealous about the camper but I am jealous about the both of you. For living in scenic Scotland. 😄 Keep healthy and keep those videos coming. Greetings from the Netherlands
Such a beautiful part of the world. Upon retiring as a Captain in the Merchant Navy my Great Uncle became the harbour master at Buckie. He was also coxswain of the lifeboat. Another very enjoyable video.
I like to watch Steve and your partner and you have a wonderful walk round Scotland and the mountains and walk ways and the beach is beautiful and nice and sunny and peaceful thanks Steve
As I sit on my balcony on the ocean in Perth (australia), sipping my wine watching the sun go down after a glorious summer day, taking in all the beautiful scenery of your fabulous walk....I ponder........how the blazes did you get back to your car! Love so much your travel journeys, Scotland is such a beautiful place, I love it!
Thanks Steve. Another fantastic video with such amazing scenery. You both compliment each other so well, and it's always entertaining watching your adventures.
Thanks for taking us on yet another beautiful marathon of a walk! Hats off to you both as thats a long, long walk, stunning coastline and harbours, wish Id half of your energy! Hope you both got and enjoyed your takeaway,it was well deserved x
I was lucky enough to spend many holidays in Buckie. When I was a teenager in the 1950s I loved the place it was so quiet and peaceful apart from the pub at the weakend the pub was called craigenroan it was a fantastic 😊place it’s well worth a visit
My parents live between Keith and Huntly,I'm in the US but Cullen is always a stop when I'm there for the chip shop or ice cream! I love how scenic Portsoy is as well...awesome video, good effort to both of you!
Great walk, done most of it over different days. The big boats in the area were most probably involved with the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm Interconnector, which comes inland there
That was breathtaking Steve. You nailed the weather and that sunset was unreal so I must have a ride along that coast myself someday. I love it when you film these sort of walks as you and Alijca always put your heart and soul into it. A cracking day out 👍
Cheers mate! We were happy to squeeze everything out of that glorious day, and so much more to see on that coastline, well worth a look. Have a great weekend!
Glad you are back to your walks and drives around Scotland. I’m afraid I have not been watching your trips abroad, .I’m only interested in Scotland, because I am very widely traveled ( I am 82) . I am an expat that have lived in Vancouver for 56yrs , but never traveled much in the land I was born . Too busy working , so now I go back every year and do tours . I am very interested Scotland as my brother lives on the Isle of Skye , my husband’s ancestors came form Buckhaven , and I was able to take some of my husband’s ashes there , when I was on Rabbies tour. They even played”, The flowers of Scotland” when I got back on the coach , very emotional .❤️🇨🇦
Thanks so much Jean, and totally understandable. I will keep mixing in my other adventures as well (because I love doing them) but there are a number of people who only watch the Scottish ones and in a way that makes me proud :D
Another great video Steve showcasing this beautiful part of the world and making me reach for the Right Move app to find our dream house (again!). Fantastic weather too, cheers 😊👍
You always never fail to produce a stunning walk along the Scottish coast line with its hidden out of the way places Steve, so much beauty a real paradise as you say, although Alicja didn’t want an ice cream when you found the shop open, she sure did enjoy what was left of yours, but it did look and sound delicious, i always have to go hunting in my kitchen when I watch your videos Steve, I want an ice cream now, but have three temporary fillings so it maybe a bit of a challenge, I might just risk it! thanks 🙏 for an interesting 15mile walk 🤗
@@steve-marsh I went for it, it was ‘Mackies’ traditional dairy ice cream, with cherries 🍒 from the freezer, when your several miles from the nearest shop, you can’t be choosy! 😋
That was AWESOME guy's. I could never do that walk now...Thank's for sharing it with us...:):):) I hope Alicja feet were ok this time. In that other video with all that trouble with her feet I really felt for her...:(:(:(
I realy admire yr jist for life travels I wish I could make these trips one day up the the east and West coast prnnan and silver sands . I love Scotland hope one day I can come and visit and hike through the ironic fishing villages coast line of Scotland keep up the good work guys and enjoy ❤.
Ah yes I had a 'Sandend' moment in the Western Isles when driving to Castlebay and drive around the corner and saw a castle in a bay and took longer than it reasonably should to put two and two together. The coast where you are looks stunning, and that camper spot looks very inviting.
Hello from Australia.I really enjoyed the video, thanks so much to both of you for showing the beautiful coastline of Scotland. Some of those beaches are a match for anything we have in Australia. Can’t wait until I can get over to Scotland to see the land of my father with my family.Cheers to both of you.
We had a holiday in Portessie in the early 70s.The great thing about that coastline is it's exactly the same 50 years later.I must have a run up there on the motorbike soon.
Glad to see you took my advice and did the walk. I forgot to mention it is a bit of a trek! 😂 Also, the signs on the buildings at Portsoy harbour are left over from the filming of Peaky Blinders season 6.
A beautiful walk I so enjoyed seeing the little villages and the sea views, thanks for taking me along it was marvellous, as always stay safe and cheers.
Great walk guys - I think I do see a fish supper for your evening to eat - definitely deserve it washed down by an irn bru 😅 - the east coast can be so beautiful and so when weather is not so ‘Dreek’ go for it ! all these wee towns reminds me of Local Hero movie ! as the Americans say ‘so cute’ - go put your feet up guys and get some rest - big 👍 on this one !
An excellent walk and video. Thank you Steve and Alicja. That shell pile on the path is interesting. We have similar artifacts here in Australia. They call them shell middens and some date back thousands of years. The aborigines knew the best times to harvest them and spent time in a variety of places leaving the shells behind as they moved on. I reckon I could do that walk in 6 days, because I'd be so distracted by the views, the birds and seaweeds, rockpool life, I would have to stop over night in each harbour.
Well done you two, 15 miles in 6.5 hours, no mean feat and an absolutely beautiful day for your extended harbour town walk. It's a great pity that places to eat and so forth are closed, maybe that's something that should definitely change in Scotland, to make it more of a tourist destination in the winter/Spring seasons. So congratulations Steve & Alicija for yet another cracking video, All the Best.
I loved this video Steve. Brought back many happy memories. I used to regularly stay in this area, with relatives in Sandend. It's a beautiful part of the world. Findlater Castle was a favourite. On the journey up to the area, we used to drive through the Spittal of Glenshee. We always passed a statue of an elderly couple on a bench , entitled 'Tommy and Wife'. I watched the video you made going through this area to Aviemore and you didn't mention it. I wondered if it was still there. We love your videos. Keep up the good work!
Love your Scotland vlogs Been visiting Scotland for several years, the first time was on my honeymoon, 25 years ago. The Mrs and I are planning our 25th Anniversary 2-week tour of Scotland, and your vlogs are proving very helpful in findings some interesting places to visit
Another stunning video, Steve. Our feet are hurting just from watching it! You both did really well walking so far. What a beautiful part of the coast it is. Thanks again, can't wait for the next.
Beautiful walk, the scenery is gorgeous. And, fair play for making it to the end in the daylight, especially while also filming. I know, as a photographer how short the daylight hours are in February at our latitude.
That coast is amazingly ruggedly beautiful and the "villages" that you walked thru, eerily w/o people, well not many, anyway, a very enjoyable vlog, again!! Thanks to you both.
Thank you very much for your videos! I am taking inspiration and literally creating a list of places to visit. Hopefully, one day, when I'll be close enough to Scotland, I am gonna do a complete tour of these wee sea villages, they are simply wonderful! Cheers from Italy! :)

Brilliant video guys. It's been many years since my wife and I have been up in that area. We live just outside Falkirk so not too far away. You've put me in the mood for a wee break for a few days, but in a few months time. Really enjoying your videos. Many thanks. Take care.
Great video, 15 miles, that is a long way. Great to see Scotland's Ambassador showing what the country has to offer. And yes, as soon as I saw Cullen - Skink Soup! Yep, remembered the Viaduct too. The beach's looked nice. Wonderful to see you folks out an about!
The houses and bungalows are really nice and what you hope to see when visiting coastal villages and also the tranquillity of the harbours i love them.
Really enjoyed this walk. The coast looks so beautiful in the winter sun. I’m glad you both made it to the end notwithstanding all your wee stopping points. Well done to you both. Enjoy your take away. 👏👍
Enjoyed this vlog very much. I am from Canada, my fathers family all came from Aberdeen. So fun to see the beautiful Scottish scenery from places I haven't seen. Your vlog is one of the best and I thank you both for all the time and trouble you put into it!!!!
Another great video Steve. We stayed in Buckie last March and photographed Bow Fiddle Rock in Findochty. Some stunning views on your walk. Look forward to seeing your next video mate.
The beach at Sandend is where some of the film ‘Local Hero’ was made . The red telephone box in the film is at a Pennan which is in the same area but not on the costal path.
I loved that walk, the old building and those cottages look beautiful with sandy beaches in view, Scotland is a beautiful part of the World.

The houses and bungalows are really nice and what you hope to see when visiting coastal villages and also the tranquillity of the harbours i love them.
I wouldn't mind living in one of those :)
@@steve-marsh we never see a for sale sign 😢.
So beautiful, I love all the stone cottages, what a wonderful place to live
So true Elaine!
What a stunning walk ❤
Even better than we expected Mark!
This was enjoyable to watch especially the cool rock formations
Cheers mate, yeah, an interesting old trail for sure!
Stunning coastline Steve, I think I would be happy living up there
In a strange way I'd love to be there during a winter storm!
Really enjoyed this walk. The coast looks so beautiful in the winter sun. I’m glad you both made it to the end notwithstanding all your wee stopping points. Well done to you both. Enjoy your take away. 👏👍
Thanks Ruth! So glad we made it in (almost) daylight, wouldn't have liked to be on the trail in darkness!
Enjoyed this vlog very much. I am from Canada, my fathers family all came from Aberdeen. So fun to see the beautiful Scottish scenery from places I haven't seen. Your vlog is one of the best and I thank you both for all the time and trouble you put into it!!!!
Hey thanks so much for coming along Cheri, your fathers family would know this coast very well :)
I heard the chopper then a gull appeared. Some trick that guys! And I enjoyed your labours too. Thanks for sharing.
Haha cheers Peter! :D
You both did a fantastic job, amazing.
And what about the views... outstanding.
Cheers.
Thank you very much Roger!
Great video, very educational. This part of Scotland is very underated.
Very true, it’s a beautiful and interesting part of Scotland!
Hi Steve... stunning coastline.
I bet you guys slept well that night, at the end of such a long walk.
Haha you know it Heather! Just the drive home was hard enough :D
Another great video Steve.
We stayed in Buckie last March and photographed Bow Fiddle Rock in Findochty.
Some stunning views on your walk.
Look forward to seeing your next video mate.
Cheers Tim! Beautiful part of the world eh!
The beach at Sandend is where some of the film ‘Local Hero’ was made . The red telephone box in the film is at a Pennan which is in the same area but not on the costal path.
