1. Never expected Sarah McLachlan to cover ABBA 2. It's so cool that a 17-year-old is an ABBA fan (not surprised, though; I recently saw an ABBA tribute band and there were quite a number of tween and teen females at the show). 3. Biographers of ABBA are right: their music will never die. One even said that in 100 years, people are going to flood the dance floor (whatever one will look like then) when "Dancing Queen" starts to play.
Tasha is beautiful, I love this song, how can you not feel happy with Abba, I remember being young and loving to dance 💃 constantly, it was glorious! Happy Birthday Tasha!!!!❤❤
I can't stop smiling....I'm not even a fan of ABBA but seeing Sarah cover this in such a perfect and joyful way makes me like this song more than I ever thought I could.
For all you Abba fans out there that are surprised that a 17 yr. old girl likes them, I point out Emily Linge. She is a 16 yr old artist that has been cover Abba songs for years now. She is 1/2 Norwegian so it runs in her genes. She is fantastic and I want you to give her a listen. She also covers the Beatles, A-ha, and many, many more rock classics. That's Emily Linge.
By the way, kudos to her for loving ABBA at her young age. There’s so many young people who don’t even know artist from her moms generation. Let alone from the 70s. It’s just… Distressing…
The bass player is playing a simplified version of the original. But than again, Rutger Gunnarsson was one of the best bass players in the world who could play very complex structures while still sounding catchy and simple.
For those surprised a 17YO likes ABBA: For one thing, there's the "Mamma Mia" movie/musical franchise. For another, I have kids just a bit older and they dig ABBA too. For a third, ABBA IS ETERNAL.
Beautiful job covering a great ABBA song. Happy birthday Tasha. I seriously doubt if Sarah remembers my former fiancee Maria Moore but if Maria were here she would've loved this. Sadly she passed away last year.
Funny how Sarah did the exact same thing in Vancouver on the opening night of the tour May 23rd... amazing how her daughter turned 17 multiple times. Gotta be a first!
Mommy is a badass great performer. Lilith Faire ,A great show for female artist folded the tent after Sara moved on. That sucked that no one picked up the torch.
The thing I don't understand, is how Sarah could have had a daughter at age 7 or 8. On a side note, Taja looks strikingly like one of my nine granddaughters.
This is TOPS! Go Onyx…a bright future in the music industry if you keep honing that talent! Shine bright, young star…. Congrats to Mom also…that pride exuding from that beautiful face!! You are simply one of the absolute bests in modern day music!!!
Music Starts at 2:06. IDK about bringing ones child on stage for their birthday. Does she not know the bad life outcomes of children of Stars? as in too much vanity meets reality?
The back up singer is not just a back up singer. Melissa McClelland is a kick ass singer/songwriter in her own right. And who cares who is doing most of the singing. This is a birthday celebration. Why you gotta hate.
Kinda sucks that vocalists of this caliber didn't bother to learn the iconic two-part harmony of the chorus. Lame karaoke-level cover. They can and should do better.
That's so beautiful 💚😍💃
My favorite song. My favorite artist. Just beautiful 💚💚💚
Listening to Sarah McLaughlin’s version of “dancing Queen” is something I didn’t know I needed.
Awesome
Her voice is just out of this world

The reunion definitely helped in that respect too :)
I think the interest the generation has in ABBA comes primarily from the musical Mama Mia.
@@garyj1536The musical is probably already too old for the next generation of people that love ABBA.
That is one absolutely fearless 17-year-old. Good for her! 🎂
Who else is smiling 😁😺😋
Ear to ear!!
Yup, and I’m not the easiest person to make smile! 😸
That was so cool to see. What a great mom and great kid. Sarah can sing anything.

That's so amazingly cool that she celebrates the production crew!!!
This makes me so happy!!!😊😊😊 what a dream - your kid actually loves you!

This was such an enjoyable moment for mom and daughter!!!
This is just everything. How amazing that her daughter is a huge ABBA fan and Sarah does this wonderful cover. Sarah is just one of the greatest x
national treasure!!!
Sarah sang to us from her home during Covid. Forever grateful.🤗🎸🎼
If someone had asked me to come up with 200 songs I thought Sarah might do someday, I don't think that would have been on it. Great fun.
Loved watching this special moment. Thanks for capturing it!
Just a huge hug for everyone ❤❤ bottle that energy and sell it!!

Great concert, thanks for taking this wonderful video.
Girl has great taste in music I love abba
Oh wow. This came out fantastic. Awesome show last night. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful gift.
That is so class. SM singing Dancing Queen is brilliant. And Taja has good taste with ABBA being her fave band.
Oh wow! This is fabulous!
This is so sweet.😊
I was sceptical about this version, but I loved it. 👍
Sarah rocking those leather pants!!!
Lovely moment will be a fantastic memory! Well done that girl lovely! ❤❤❤ XXX
I tried picking up Sarah at a party in Toronto 30 years ago and she wasn't having it. But I haven't stopped dreaming. :)
10/10 for effort
@JimAllen-Persona LOL No
Was there a David stalking her back then?
You took the shot when you had the opportunity. BRAVO 👏 👏 👏 👏
Doug, I do believe she failed you..... You know it's easy let it go.....

What a great concert! Thanks for posting this video.

Priceless!
Gteat, the daughter is a brave dancer too. Thank you!
That was fun. It made me smile.
What a wonderful celebration of Tasha's 17th birthday! I wonder if she will follow the footsteps of her mother!
very cool birthday for Sarah's daughter. Well done!!!! Cheers
Thanks for posting! I couldn’t get a decent video from where I was! 😊

much love to mother and daughter ...

Super cool confident kid.

❤
Who is the blonde singing with Sarah? Back up singer? She's so full of joy!!
She sings backup and plays the bass.
Melissa McClelland
Jayson Tatum continues winning despite all the haters ill founded wishes.
This was adorable on multiple levels.
Sarah’s daughter is slightly off-the-wall, but has a great stage presence. And definitely doesn’t lack in the energy department. Happy Birthday ❤
Oh well🤔.
Mommy is a badass great performer. Lilith Faire ,A great show for female artist folded the tent after Sara moved on. That sucked that no one picked up the torch.
This is a great video! Is this just from your phone? If so, what kind of phone? And what framerate? Thanks again!
Sony Rx100 vii - a small camera (not a phone)
@@WackySwiftie thank you! Is it easy enough to get into venues/security?
@@ArtimJar yes - it’s tiny and allowed at almost every show. Although sometimes (10% maybe) security will ask me to stop taking videos

Killer!!!
I’m surprised they didn’t harmonize their parts in Dancing Queen. These two sing excellent harmonies together, but they’re singing the same part here.

I guess she didn’t get mums voice , pity. Cute girl ..
young people just cant put there cell phones down

The backup singers actually doing the bulk of the singing

Where is the duet harmony???? I've got to say, a little disappointed here.
Sarah has kept her looks. The daughter looks nothing like her.
Taja looks like dad.
