The weirdest thing happened to me today, a budgie was sleeping on my window pane, but that would be totally believable if you didn’t know I live in Canada and it’s still pretty cold. Nobody noticed for like an hour. I looked at the window, and at first I thought it was stuffed toy or something, but as I got closer, it was wayyyy to realistic. I first closed the window so it wouldn’t get scared and fly away into the cold again. I gave it some barley seeds and it became my friend, in the evening I went to get a birdcage for him, and now I’m a father. This was the most unexpected day of my life. Mine looks just like this one.

My dad find a male budgie in the street and we took him in .Since he was lonely we bought a female for him and they got along well.I put in a nest box since we had one laying around but assumed they wouldn’t have raised chick being how afraid they were of humans but I was wrong .As of right now one egg has hatched of the four that where laid .
I also hope to be able to at least tame the babies since the parents are very scared of people and especially hands.

My parakeet died a couple of days ago and now my other parakeet is so lonely. I played this video for her and she finally started chirping and jumping around like she used to! She is 11 and never had babies but I think this makes her happy. Thank you!

@Stella Hoenheim they’re domesticated budgies, if they are released into the wild they will either die from harsh weather, or from being hunted by outside predators

My budgie laid eggs for the first time, and there were 5 eggs, 4 of them hatched and then later in, the 2 which were smaller once died..and then the other two were good but then the younger one died..now there is one left which is absolutely fine :)

Amazing phases of budgies growing from an egg to a young adult!
I got a baby budgie when he was a little over 3 weeks old. This video made me recall him when he was a baby bird. I fed softened seeds with added vitamin drops with a syringe a few times a day as advised by a breeder. I hand raised him, he was so precious! He grew very quickly though. He knew his own name. When I called him he came flying to my hand. We let him out a few hours+ every day to play and to let him take water bath at sink. He slept in my hand and he could say his own name too. I would love to get a small bird again. Thanks for your inspiration and amazing video! 💜

We got a blue one. When he was born (we had a total of 60 birds in total), the parents hurt him, bit him etc and threw him out of the nest, we think because there were 'too many'. My mom picked him up and took him to the vet. Luckily we got a warmth lamp and he stayed with us in the living room and got better. Now, 10 years later, we got all of the birds away, but he's still in our living room and even has his name: Lucky, because he was lucky to survive. He flies in our living room, but never wanted to be touched on his body anymore, because of trauma's he got over. We love him, even though he poops on our head ;D

The ones that didn't, were probably handled too much in the beginning.
That's why several were not as strong.
You're not supposed to keep playing with them and handling them like that, when they're still very young.
@@janicem9225 You do realize that many animals (not just birds) have a lot of babies because of how likely it is that they are going to die. That is so that at least a few babies will survive in the end. It was natural for the baby budgies to die, and there is really no telling how much the owner handled the babies. This man is very responsible with how he treats his pets, and I hope that you learn more about the physiology of animals.

Do a tutorial how to sleep when u have budgies & parrots.
Put them in a different room
Cover their cage at night,the darkness will help them go to sleep much faster and will become completly silent
Since my lovebird dosent make sounds at night and i can sleep i dont rlly know either , but u could try putting a cover on their cage
Just make a thanksgiving meal and you can sleep peacefully👍

I haven't had a budgie in 20 years, since I moved out of my parents' house. They raised budgies when I was growing up, selling some to the pet stores every year. This video is awesome. It brings me great nostalgia. I used to feed them with little eye droppers and put them in my breast pocket for warmth. They can make great pets.
