    For any 3rd Gen, when replacing the front struts, its worth replacing the lower ball joints and control arm bushings at the same time as well (assuming they haven't already been replaced). And possibly the outer tie rod ends if they need it. Then get an alignment. Takes a lot more than 5 minutes, but I get your marketing strategy.

      Just the lower ball joints. Only do the rest if they're loose.
      Your right them lower balljoints will not make noise if they're ready to drop.

    • @aramschannel
      @aramschannel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ya definitely a bit of rub but nothing serious. It's pretty easy to fix with some trimming and hammering.
      Or you can get adjustable upper control arms and get a good alignment then you won't rub at all

    Your 4 runners look nice man they look clean. I have been debating on doing something similar with my 96 toyota t100, and that's doing a custom front mesh grill with the lettering. DIY some retrofits and if you live in a place where things get rusty, get snowbound customs osr kit…it’s well worth $220. Of the RC shocks ride bad I recommend fox 2.0’s from accutune. They’ll tune it to your rig for free and they’re only $400.

    Might be a dumb question but why did you go with RC rear shocks and not the matching Bilstein shocks?

    • @aramschannel
      @aramschannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So all these parts were actually from my 4runner (the green one). When I originally lifted my 4runner, the bilstein rears were back ordered which is why I got the RC's.
      When I took all these parts off my 4runner to install on this other 4runner, one of the rear shocks was bad so RC sent me brand new ones under warranty. Hope that clarifies haha

    • @cairoalmarez9644
      @cairoalmarez9644 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How would you say the rear suspension in this 4runner with the RC’s feels in comparison to the setup in your green one? Ig in other words is it even worth it to go with the RC’s or save myself the time and just get myself some 5100’s

    • @aramschannel
      @aramschannel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @cairoalmarez9644 I'd probably get the bilsteins if I was you.
      Nothing wrong with the RCs, they were fine while I had them although one of them did lose its charge in about a year.
      All that being said, the springs you choose for the rear will also make a big difference. I can't really compare this 4runner to my green one because they have totally different set ups.
      Long story short, get bilstein haha :)
