What year/model do you have if you don’t mind me asking? I’m going to try and tour more Sea Rays this year. They’re so popular here in the United States.
Nice walkthrough. Do you know much of the reason they quit building the L-series? I feel they are nice yachts, and Sea Ray has always known how to build decent yachts.
This is a mix my own assumptions plus info from Sea Ray directly.. but this class was introduced in 2014 to compete with the luxury yacht brands that get imported from other countries. The boat is reviewed well and comes highly equipped. But any new yacht model will come with warranty issues which can be costly for a manufacturer to remedy. Especially when you get into the larger size range.. There is stiff competition in this size category and competitors who have been in the space for 30 plus years have a big advantage. It is easy to lose millions and it wasn't worth the continued risk. Sea Ray always have dominated the smaller sub 40 foot category in the US so the decision was made in 2018 to focus 100% on that segment. It was a safer bet for the company. Thanks for watching!
@@YachtAddiction Thanks for the reply! I figured as much. They are very competitive in the smaller boats-market and should stick with what they are comfortable with doing. But still nice to see them trying the bigger range.
@@YachtAddiction oh yeah definitely don't have traffic like NOVA but the bad thing is there's really no place to go boating like you can there 😔😪 why can't we have our cake and eat it too lol!!! 🤪😅😂🤣
You always do a great showing. SeaRay really has lost its touch the the old SeaRay had beautiful lines and was a sweet looking boat the new SeaRay look like a new Cadillac where at every corner and body style is ugly on the outside the outside of that boat is not the way SeaRay boats use to look it’s a turn off. I would never trade my 2014 59 Sundancer in for a new SeaRay that looks like that. I’d rather trade mine in for a Azimut 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
