As an American...the best way I can describe it is like a loving yet dysfunctional family over here. We're always arguing with each other, but the moment some outsider sucker punches one of us, we stand up united against them. That's our brother/sister you just punched and NO one punches them but us! xD

Toby's 'American soldier' & 'Made in America' are also amazing patriotic songs. Then he has the funniest songs & videos you will ever see. 'As good as I once was', 'Trailerhood', 'How do you like me now?' for a few funny songs/videos. His duet with Willie Nelson 'Beer for my horses' is like a mini movie.
Who's that man?' & It's a little too late' or broken heart songs, yet the video is still funny for 'It's a little too late'. 'You shouldn't kiss me like this' is also sexy, yet the video is funny again. Talented guy. Praying he continues his recovery from Cancer treatment & that the tumor continues to shrink. I miss this man.

I had my DNA studied and it turns out I'm 42% from GB and Ireland & Scottish. 21% Scandinavian and 19% Northern Europe. I only knew I was German and Swiss. So, now I feel a connection to you and lots of pride in how you reacted. You are 100% right brother on what we've forgotten nearly two dozen years later. I was born 10 years after WWII ended. We remembered Pearl Harbor and the Nazis even while Vietnam was raging. I joined the Army the day I graduated HS. My Mother served during WWII, her father in WWI. What you see on the news is NOT what Real Americans think and feel. We still WILL put a boot in your ass and that gift from France will Shake Her Fist even against those who have infiltrated and are sewing the seeds of division from within. I know you Know that! And finally, last but not least, Rest In Peace Angry American and say hi to your Dad and thank you!

When anyone asks me why I fly my flag outside my house I usually ask them why they don't. Our patriotism is deep-seeded and homegrown for sure, but there is nothing wrong with starting the culture in the right direction. Be the change you wish to see. Stand up! Fly your own flag! Be strong and courageous. We've been fighting for our freedom since we took it from Britain in the 18th century. We're not going to stop now.

Dave is right Ash, metal music alrhough can have an angry tone is also quite poetic.😊
This song gave us something to cling to in those early times after 9/11.
Toby Keith is currently battling stomach cancer, good vibes for him.
    Please do more Toby Keith.
He has patriotic ones and hilarious ones.
Some of the reason it's a little different now compared to then is because there is so much of the population now doesn't even remember 9/11 because they we're born or were very young.
They know it happened but don't have the same emotional connection.
Nice to see you again, Ash.

Toby Keith has passed away, may he rest in peace in the palm of God. His straight ahead no-apologies patriotism has been and will continue to be a positive influence for our military, all Americans and Brits.
The messages Toby Keith gave us through his music and philanthropy live on. It's a sad time, especially for those in the military whom Toby supported, but to paraphrase General Patton, "We should thank God that such men lived." We must continue to pay tribute to Toby at the very least, by not apologizing for being patriots and vote. As a tribute, raise a red Solo cup for Toby along with your stars & stripes - and May God bless Toby's family and friends. May his memory be a blessing.

I think the line is a bit more deep than just defiant, though that is still apt. To me, especially after it had just come out in response, it meant "Yeah we have are own stupid shit going on over here, you don't like our little problems fine, we won't bother you either..........and then...........all our little stupid shit stopped because you attacked all of us. You thought because we were hatin' on each other we would not unite? I can make fun of my family but there is no way I'm going to let you get away with it"

As an American the key line in this song for me has always been, this big dog will fight when you rattle his cage. Diplomacy first but when someone attacks without warning kiss your ass goodbye. Not only 911 but 12/7/41 when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Your country has the same backbone; Dunkirk followed by the battle of Brittan and Monty in North Africa and Italy joined by Patton. Then the invasion at Normandy. We were with you in force by D-Day but the RAF held the enemy at bay until the combined forces were ready to push the Hun back across the Rhine. British and American forces differ only because the British seem to have a more reserved attitude, but when faced with an aggressor I wouldn't want to face either.

We love our guns. My father and me have over 250+ firearms in our collection and my dad is currently building a shooting range in his basement.
