Simon I'm currently at the Christmas German Markets in Cardiff enjoying a Stein of Konig Ludwig Weissbier they've also got Warsteiner, Hofbrau original & Hofbrau Dunkel on tap too. U been here yet? U'd luv it!! Beer selection far better than last year.😅
Hello Simon. Are you doing dry January this year to give your body a break from all the booze? If so can you try and cram in another live stream? Cheers.
@@steveallen1635 Mmmmmm I found that some stores are hit or miss. The one I live near now sucks, but (during the pandemic FWIW) I lived near a very big Tesco superstore and the craft beer selection was incredible. Heading back that way soon for Christmas, so I might check in there as it's been reliable in the past
@@HoppyFerret I have now found the beer, in a larger store! You can get a 4 for 3 deal on it, it's not bad, probably not for the beer purists, it definitely has a bit of an alco-pop feel to it!
@steveallen1635 congrats on your find! My search wasn’t fruitful unfortunately, though sounds maybe like I’m not missing out much. I’ll have to see when I review it! Merry Christmas
I got 4 cans for £12! It's a nice enough beer, the tequila does dominate, some what! However, i cant help but compare it to Aldi's (Badger) Coffee Stout which is £1,79 and imho a much better beer!
As you mentioned Vocation. They have just released, 2 Pale Ales Bread & Butter, Extra Slice 5.5 and Bundle Up, coming in at 4.2. Extra Slice is very good, not tried, Bundle Up.
Have a trip to Hebden bridge or Society in Manchester or Leeds/ Sheffield and then tell us Vocation are on the wain. What a load of absolute tosh. The celebrations beers were a novelty for Christmas nothing more nothing less. Some strange vendetta going on. Maybe they have stopped sending you free beers or something I dunno.
Leeds taphouse is crap mate, pour choice of beers on my last (and final visit) Not keen on the student esque vibe either. Used to order online from Vocation regularly but the beer has gone down the pan, the beers they put into the Supermarket these days are poor.
Not a good hear retention. To me it is more like a porter than a stout. I quite like a sweeter stout, have always been a fan of Youngers of Alloa's Sweetheart Stout. I know it is now a contract brewed beer by whoever owns Scottish and Newcastle, but still is a taste from yesteryear for me, especially as it is only available in Northern supermarkets.
Vocation is still everywhere but yeah it’s gone downhill over the last few years. Another brewery trying to be brewdog. I’d still take a vocation beer over a salt one tho. Salt nose dived massively when they tried to be the cheapest supermarket beer. The NEIPA used to be fantastic. It’s just watery rubbish now. Nothing special in the bars either. Just the supermarket stuff on tap.
I’ve missed this one . Sounds great . Cheers and Merry Christmas Simon 🎄🍻
Would love to see a video showcasing the beers youre going to be drinking this Christmas. Maybe make it a shootout?
Your Christmas Day drinks menu plan would be interesting!

Cost me £4 in Tesco's yesterday. Xmas day treat to myself. Thanks for recommendation si.
I grabbed a can too, saving it for Xmas day
what will you be drinking with your turkey?
That would go down well with a ham and pickle sandwich around 8 o'clock on a windy drizzlie evening.
Not with Kemi Badenoch it wouldn't 😂
Sounds nice. Will have to look out for this 🍺
Good review 👍

A salt stout in the supermarkets?! Nice!!!
Or perhaps not! I went in to get this beer and they didn't have it!

I've tried a can and I didn't like it at first the more I sipped on it the more the flavour grew on me
They were a limited edition range !

You definitely notice 7% when u go back out in the fresh air!🥴
Love what you do and have been happy with your recommendations. All is a matter of opinion but this is bloody awful! Soz but I strongly disagree 😊
This guy is on the sauce every morning. Jeez.
Good for him
Poor Simon...Pour!
It shows
He makes no secret.
@@Coxy-b34not good for his kidneys though
I tried this. Horrible 🤢
Beer tasting is so subjective. Most of the beers you like, I dislike 🤔
