☆About Book and Bed Tokyo Shinjuku☆
🌸 It’s very dirty in the room and the bookstore with dust.
🌸 I found some hair and a contact lens (which I don’t use).
🌸 The location of Book and Bed Tokyo Shinjuku is not in a nice area.
🌸 I got a refund but so far, I can’t recommend this place to you until they change it.
🌸 The slippers are mixed with used ones and new ones :/
🌸 The café has a black theme food which is interesting but I didn’t try any.
🌸 When I woke up, the curtain was half-open which scared me :/ (I forgot to mention this in the video.)
Thank you for watching and subscribing to my channel☺
I'd like to hear your opinion on this video and which area you would love to visit! Please comment below.x

Hi Anna, your review was honest and it’s not about the fact that the money was high for what you got but the dirty room, and that is unexceptable. If they ignore dust, what else do they ignore. It’s your health at risk especially during the Covid times. Totally unacceptable. Thank for letting us know what you found. Be well, be safe, peace. X

A few TH-camrs recommend not spending a lot of time in this area, I was watching one of John Daub’s videos recently and he did that. I remember when I was there being physically pulled to one side by a foreign worker outside a bar and being asked if I wanted to buy drugs 😂 definitely not the safest area, I can understand why a lone female tourist would feel uneasy. It’s a shame, but it was the only area in Tokyo I personally felt that way.

Chris stayed in the large room and Connor stayed in a capsule. They didn't say it was dirty, but they did say the capsule was hot, and it was like a coffin. Thank you for your honest opinion about this capsule hotel. I've seen another review of this place by a British TH-camr man and he said it wasn't great. Apparently this place is popular with women more than men - I'm not sure why? The first impression you had about this place was not good and it just got worse for you. I don't really like being in Kabukicho at all. It's such a shame you could not find another place to stay for the night. The place looks like it was only half completed. The room looks cheap and the design is poor. The bed you had looks really uncomfortable. Not good for a person who might have a bad back. As for the hygiene of the place - it's a disgrace. However, I will admit, I have been to a few large chain motel/hotel/inn’s here in the U.S. and I’m occasion find a room that was poorly cleaned. So it does happen, even in nicer places.

I did not complain, but had a talk with the manager when he tried to make me pay more because I had a friend visiting me in the hotel room. I saw the Chris Broad/ Connor video a few weeks ago on this hotel. One stayed in the nice room you were in and the other stayed in the capsule. Seemed pretty empty at the time, so I don't know when they shot it, maybe a year a go where people were not traveling as much. You were probably lucky to not stay in the capsule... they didn't seem to be blown away from it either. They didn't notice the dust, but I don't know if they have the same discerning eye as you might for that. To me, it seems to be a tourist place, purposely eclectic to bring tourist in, and for people that want to meet tourist. I mean, it is plywood walls with open ceilings... no climate control if it is to hot, you can hear everything everywhere... it just screams low budget. I am half surprised you got your money back. At that point, all you are really paying for is the 'experience', which I am sure is a attraction for some people, but not for you and I.
I don't know how dangerous the area really is, but I have seen a couple of 4K 'walking around' videos of that area, some at night. Just seems to be a ton of people in the area, so I can understand it being dirtier than average. I mean, it is the biggest city in the world... it is pretty good that it is as clean as it is. I guess if I was a woman alone in Tokyo, I would be nervous too. Sorry to hear you got hassled.
Was this the video you were not sure about putting out?
